Does WoS Deadpool's ridiculous regeneration trait reduce penetrating damage to one since it says "Take 1 Damage" and not "Reduce Damage"?

Deadpool doesn't care if the damage is penetrating or not. His trait will still work. Penetrating damage cannot be reduced. Deadpool's trait does not reduce.
From p. 9 of the 2010 Core Rulebook:
Penetrating damage is damage dealt that can’t be reduced (such as by the Toughness power), but can be evaded, ignored, increased, or transferred to another character.
RIDICULOUS REGENERATION: Whenever Deadpool would be dealt damage from an attack, roll a d6 instead. On a result of 1, he takes that damage plus 1. On a result of a 2-3 he takes the normal amount of damage. On a result of a 4-5 he takes 1 damage. On a result of a 6, he heals 1 damage instead.
Nowhere does it say reduce.

Nothing says "Reduce damage by"...so i'd say, nope wouldn't work.

It would seem that the only thing that goes past his trait would be Pulse Waive.

Or anything that isn't an attack.
Knock back, for example, would deal damage normally.

sweetness!
Normalview, so incapacitating Deadpool to take a second token and thus a pushing damage would not be affected by his trait, correct?

Correct. Pushing damage is not from an attack. Just ask the Mystics.

Righty-O.
Or Poison, or Nightshade's 'From the Land of Nightshades' special power, or Arcade's 'Deathtrap', or a bunch of other things.
Basically, if it is useful for circumventing Mystics damage, you can probably use it normally on Deadpool. Now a lot of those tricks only deal 1 damage, so it's not like you're going to take him down really quickly... but at least he doesn't get a chance to heal, either.

What about masterminding damage to Deadpool?
lancelot

Nope, he cannot roll for it. Redirected damage from Mastermind is not an attack.

And for anyone that is thinking in the lines of "Well, the damage originated from an attack" here's some backup for lancelot:
MASTERMIND
When this character would be dealt damage, you may instead choose to have all the damage be dealt to a single adjacent friendly character with a point value less than this character’s. Any additional effects of the damage dealt (knock back, penetrating damage, etc.) are applied to the character taking the damage. Damage dealt by this power is not an attack.

The trait? No:
Pulse Wave
Give this character a ranged combat action; halve its range value until the action has been resolved. Draw lines of fire to every character within range in every direction; these lines of fire are only blocked by walls, blocking and elevated terrain. All powers, abilities, traits and feats used by characters with a line of fire drawn to them are ignored until the action has been resolved, though wild cards using this power can use the team ability of a friendly character within range of this attack. At least one opposing character must have a line of...
