I'm being lazy and posting said team via link, but my question is this, in a roundabout way. Assuming 2 Firelord at least on the average 300-point team, is the construct good enough to win consistently?
This is by far my favorite team, despite the horrible 299 points instead of 300 present. It plays chars that are generally disregarded (V Clops, U Wolvie) in order to max out attack value, and has a reasonable amount of Taxiing and Outwit (sure, it's one commonly-used guy, but he fits here).
The point is to create a pincer-like effect where everything on your opponent's squad can get RCE'd out, and if they prefer to hide in stealth, the U Wolvie will flush them. The U Wolvie beats my previous use of Nightcrawler to flush stealthed and otherwise difficult guys, considering his BCF and high attack value (which he keeps) and enables the support flusher to clear out much more powerful pieces, like INV chars and 18D guys.
Also, the team construct enables you to play keep-away with FL, because you at worst have a 17 range with E Doombot + Bullseye/Cyclops, when in average Marvel the Taxi + Lord covers 16 spaces. Efficient movement, then, either kills the FL or causes him to push to do dmg to a single char.
If there's a blatant hole in my logic here, please let me know, but otherwise I'd really like some commentary on this team, since this is the most theme-based AND quality team I theoretically could field.
Thank you.
