i m going to my first tournament so i had some questions i wanted to clear up before i went and made a fool of myself...

1. can someone adjacdent to an opponent use Smoke Cloud? since it is a "move" action, and you need to roll for breakaway to move, do you have to roll for breakaway to use Smoke Cloud? Or SC doesnt work when adjacdent?

2. for veteran Huntress, if i choose multiple targets, does RCE still resolve against both? I shot both Dove and Hawk last night at 8 squares away and inflicted a total of 6 damage, 3 to each. that's legit right?

3. if on roof, do i shoot OVER even my friendly figures? take this, it happened last night, i said line of fire was clear since it came from the roof...

. is ground
H is Hawk
D is Dove
x is roof
M is ManBat
U is Huntress (on roof adjacdent to ManBat on the ground in front of her)

Huntress can target and shoot both Hawk and Dove right? Along with RCE?

4. finally, WHERE DOES LINE OF FIRE START in the square? from the MIDDLE of the square, from a DIAGONAL CORNER, from the FIGURE'S BASE (pretty much mid-square)?!? Because so many times, my friends would just use a different edge of a square to find a clear line of fire, whereas it wouldnt be if it was from another edge of the same square, get my gist?

and here's the team i plan on bringing, i won 3 games last night with them, but i FEEL funny...i m open to ideas!

Rookie Hawkman (taxi and JLA movement)
Experienced Booster Gold (common taxi, and JLA)
Experienced Robin (for Stealth/Smoke Cloud)
Experienced Checkmate Medic (duh, for those band-aids)
Veteran Huntress (for JLA and her Range/Multi-Targets, along with the taxis, she can shoot everywhere)
Veteran Catwoman (for Outwit and close combat)
Unique The Key (for Outwit and Mind Control with a taxi)

a varation i had last night was with a veteran Grundy, but I couldnt really move fast. should i put in one more heavy hitter, get rid of robin, the medic...but they total up to only 37 points...hmm, anybody?

anybody who answers, THANKS A TON!

1. You can use it. You don't need to break away.

2. RCE is for single-target attacks only, as the PAC says.

3. You ignore intervening figures, yes. Your own or opposing, there's no difference.

4. You always draw LOF from center to center.
