So I'm goin' to my first tourney next week and I wanted some input on the teams I was thinking of using. Here is what I would like to see out of this thread:

1) Which team do you feel is stronger and why?
2) Is there anything you would change on the team and why?
3) All figures I have access to are in my h/w so if you make suggestions, suggest figs from there first please.
4) Or would you run a completely different team?
5) Thanks for taking a look!!!!!

Team 1

M&M Danger - 124
HoT Venom x2 - 146
BatB Checkmate Knight White - 29
WoS Victor Mancha - 96
Total: 395 (no lanterns for the other 5 pts. :( )

Tie 'em up with venom and shoot 'em from range with danger and victor with some enhancement. Pretty straight forward awesomeness!

Team 2

AA Metron - 195
Si Mr. Fantastic - 100
Cr Rip Hunter - 97
Total: 392

Meant to be a total nuisance with 2x perplex, 2x outwit, 2x pc, hypertime and awesomeness all built into one! Took out the above team in a heart beat by outwitting venom's sc and ss and perplexing the damage on metron to 7 - twice - and then having rip take the other clicks of life away!

Team 3

Deadpool - 158
Wolverine - 105
X-23 - 60
Wolvesbane - 65
Total: 388

Decent team, played it the other day. Got beaten down because of the lack of mobility and the lack of being able to hide anywhere. Asguardians map against Dr. Strange and HoT Cap...but on the bright side, Deadpool's trait went 6, 6, 1, 6, 5, 1, 3 before he died.

Team 4

M&M Jean Grey - 90
M&M Professor X - 131
AA Nightshade x2 - 100
BatB Mademoiselle Marie - 73
Total: 394

Meant to use MC to bring figs in close (hopefully get rid of the smaller pieces first so I take less damage from MC) and then run into a double barrier team of nightshades to trap the fig in so it can't do anything on my opponent's turn. Marie to blast away at the captured fig with RCE from stealth and having X outwit any defensive powers. Rinse and Repeat...hopefully.

Team 5

WoS Noh-Varr - 141
WoS Solo - 99
BatB Checkmate Knight Black - 35
BatB Mademoiselle Marie - 73
Av Crossbones - 47
Total: 395

Soldier Theme Team so +5, lots of range and damage potential with some stealth, running shot, and psychic blast. Fun team that could get the job done!

Team 6

WoS Noh-Varr - 141
Si Scrullojacket - 100
Batb Checkmate Knight White - 29
Batb Talia - 86
Batb Pawn 502 - 44
Total: 400

Spy theme team so +5 and another team that'll get it done with similar options as the above team.

Thanks again everyone!
Happy Clixin'!

Personally I like team 3.

With Deadpool and Wolverine's traits, you have a chance at staying on the board for quite some time. Plus they all can really dish out some damage with BCF.

Thx for the input...anybody else!?

If I were to stick with one straight-up, I'd agree w/ Team 3.

After reviewing your haves list for other figures, it's difficult to suggest otherwise.

I like team 2, but would drop someone to throw in SI Mole Man & WS Ben Reilly. Then again, without a 15 point Researcher or 2 to throw in for enhancement on a big gun like Metron, it's awfully hard to justify fielding even a modified team 2 going for a Scientist theme. Also, Metron's tough to use when you're starting out unless you nailed down the complexity of his SP's... and that's coming from personal experience.

If you can get 1-2 Researchers on Team 2, drop either Fantastic or Rip, throw on Mole Man & (maybe) Ben Reilly, you'd have some more diversity in pieces (AND a theme!).

On the other hand, Mr. Fantastic could just perplex damages up by 2 on all 3 (including himself).

I have used Metron plenty of times in casual games so I definitely have him down. I like the suggestions to the Scientist team and I may consider that. But 2 votes for team 3 seems like the front runner ATM.

Is team 3 really that good? I'm concerned about mobility issues, are you?

I like the thought of team 5, except I would try to fit the Justice League Hal Jordan in there so you can use is GL team ability to get everyone into position on your first move.

Thanks but I don't have him. Plus he doesn't have the soldier keyword so my theme team would be out the door. Otherwise, I'd consider it because GL is my favorite Superhero!

Hey everyone, the tourney is on Sunday so any other help would be nice! Thanks!

Thanks but I don't have him. Plus he doesn't have the soldier keyword so my theme team would be out the door. Otherwise, I'd consider it because GL is my favorite Superhero!I actually named the wrong figure. I was thinking Crisis Green Lantern, which has a Hal sculpt and the soldier keyword. I see that you don't have that one either, but would defintely be a good one to keep an eye out for in the future.

After looking at your h/w list, I have to agree with the previous comments and go with team 3

Great I actually have a friend I could trade with for that piece! I see the consensus is still team 3 so I may be going with that!

I have only tested 2 of these teams so I will try to do that this week and I can report back and get more help if anyone is up to it!?!

Team 6 sounds interesting, theoretically.

Team 5 - I LOVE the "Soldier" keyword. I'd say field the FF Starter the Thing, but I see you only have the starter Mr. Fantastic.

My answer remains team 3. You've got stealth on all but Deadpool, who is your move/attacker, has a great set of powers and great trait (half of the time). Wolfsbane & X-23 are taking your front lines. Wolverine can either be your 3rd close combat attacker or be kept back to utilize as an X-men TA battery.

Your biggest threats against stealth are Cosmic Spider-man, HoT Captain America, any Ultimates, or any Thunderbolt (i.e., Bullseye) given the ATA to Ultimates. Any figure with Poison presents a threat to your team except for Wolverine (look @ his trait).

You might be given trouble against the Iron Man from the new set when he gets to his "Free action Force Blast" SP. At a sealed event, the guy fielding Iron Man whooped up on my Morlun with that SP. I'd base him, get my defense ability outwitted, get force blasted into a wall, take 1 damage, get shot at and take even more damage! The only power ignoring knockback is Charge.

Well it looks like I can't play this X-Force Team because I checked with the venue and you have to submit your teams to the guy running them between 2-4 days before the event so he can verify legality (points and figs) as well as making sure there are no two teams alike. Well, some guy already submitted his team and it was the same as this one. SO, what team would you go with if you were me? Especially now that you know what 1 of the teams I am facing is.

So I didn't play on Sunday but I did play in the tourney on Monday...so that was my first. Boy was it a blast! Everyone was great sports and had really cool teams, not to mention a cool symbiote team! I chose team 1 with some major last minute modifications after I looked at some more of my figs. Here is the team I piloted to a 2-1 record, losing no figs in the two games that I won! The one I lost to was an X-Force team where I took out everything, including deadpool and leaving wolfsbane till last. He hit super senses while on her final click 4 or 5 times in a row and then rolling some lucky hits to take out my last 3 figs!!! But all in all I had a blast. So without further ado...here is the team I used and had great success with!

Shazadam - 140 pts
Danger - 124
Talia - 86
JJJ - 26
Cave Carson - 24
400 pts Even!!

Thanks again everyone, maybe I should have tried that X-Force team after all lol!
