The man rocketed through the streets. He knew they were after him, and he knew it was only a matter of time before the caught him, but he’d be damned if he didn’t give them one heck of a chase. He had speed on his side, but they had mobility and range.

“What did I do to deserve this?” He felt a sudden tug from underneath him and his rocket board went flying behind him, likely towards the bastards who pursued him.

He hit the ground hard and ran down a side alley. When he felt that his lungs were about to give he saw a red haired man open a door, “Come in here, it’s safe!” shouted the red head.

Speaking of Cosmic Spidey - of which there are now 2 in my collection and still only Mysterio of the SR figs I actually was happy to see in the set :p -I'm figuring Spideys for the Mafia.

I guess they wanted generics and half of Spidey's adventures always seem to deal with some wild and wacky science gone astray. *shrugs*

Oh I understand wholeheartedly I think the main reason was the assumed Dark Avengers ATA(which seems to be a no go) Of course just retconning in the Keyword to the HOT version would be fine with me

With Black Cat, you have to hit 19 twice, before she hits you for 3 damage. For a 52 point reward.

Depending on who is drawing her, she's top heavy enough to justify some super strength. There's definitely something metahuman there to keep her spine from snapping... especially when Frank Cho is the artist.

Well, one quick easy thing to know: Attack + 2d6 = Attack Roll which needs to be equal to or greater than a target's Defense value.

"10" is considered a "not-too-shabby" Attack Value (it used to be awesome but power creep and all...). Black Cat has a 17 Defense with Combat Reflexes which adds +2 when an adjacent figure makes a 'close combat attack' (she has Stealth which means you basically can't attack her from range except for special cases). So, basically you have to roll to beat a 19 to hit her. She has a power that allows her to make an opponent reroll their die once during their turn...so basically if they attack her, they have to hit the 19 twice. (And based on the "10" attack that means rolling 9 or higher twice).

(Plus the aforementioned Combat Reflexes allows her to "backflip" away after being pegged - meaning if you don't knock her out of Stealth and "stealthy terrain", you're going to have to spend time getting adjacent again as she "slips away".)

Jameson looked out over the city, HIS city! He would stop the menace, he would stop it at all costs. He would use all his deductive might and journalistic power, he would use the Bugle to bring them down.

Norman paced Avengers Tower, he knew what he needed to do, but he wasn’t sure he wanted to do it. Daken was a creepy guy. Always acting in a vaguely genderless omnisexual fashion, just wasn’t right! People should have preferences, dangit! They should have likes and dislikes. Daken didn’t care about anything… except maybe banging everything. Ick. Norman wasn’t sure what he would find in that room, but he knew he needed to check, if only so he didn’t fail his sanity roll.

Norman, in full Iron Patriot ### kicking armor, booted down Daken’s door… but he didn’t expect the scene that met him. Daken was being held against a wall by a red creature while the Spider (THE SPIDER! MUST CRUSH THE SPIDER! MUST KILL THE SPIDER!) tore him apart. From the blood covering the room, Norman could tell that the beating had gone on for some time. The red creature looked at Norman and laughed… HOW DARE HE!. Norman raised his hand to fire, but the creature was on him already, prying his helmet off, tearing apart his armor. It was then that he felt the Earthquake…

A being in a tattered costume leapt off of Avengers Tower… moments before the building came crashing to the ground.

If Wade is lying, it is a pretty ballsy lie. No janitored kills have been made, so to just come out and claim Groot could be disaster... all it would take is one person to claim the same thing and then he's looking at a 50/50 shot at being lynched.

Maybe he was banking on the fact that there are bound to be a lot of unclaimed characters (64 + LEs and Brick figure total), but that still seems risky. At the same time, Jack does make a good point.

Sounds like Rocket was chased by some Spider-men (plural because of the Bugle headline), and the redhaired guy could be Cletus Kasady, Carnage's alter ego.

Between the first write-up (where Rocket Racer was killed by a guy with red hair) and then some of spider "Creature" in the night 1 write-up, it would seem that Carnage (maaaaaybe Doppelganger) is some kind of killer. And, given Carnage's character type, SK seems reasonable.

With the Spider-Man variants as mafia, I think that is mostly based on A) there are enough of them in the set to make a decent sized mafia and B) in the first write-up, Rocket Racer's board was pulled away by something that could be webbing.

So all that said, yeah, I guess I am okay voting for HZ. I still really, REALLY don't trust get (his reasons for first JoH and then HZ seemed fairly inconsistent), but if Spider-Men are mafia, Scarlet Spider seems like a good lynch.

Mostly from the N0 writeup:

Sounds like Rocket was chased by some Spider-men (plural because of the Bugle headline), and the redhaired guy could be Cletus Kasady, Carnage's alter ego.

Between the first write-up (where Rocket Racer was killed by a guy with red hair) and then some of spider "Creature" in the night 1 write-up, it would seem that Carnage (maaaaaybe Doppelganger) is some kind of killer. And, given Carnage's character type, SK seems reasonable.

With the Spider-Man variants as mafia, I think that is mostly based on A) there are enough of them in the set to make a decent sized mafia and B) in the first write-up, Rocket Racer's board was pulled away by something that could be webbing.

So all that said, yeah, I guess I am okay voting for HZ. I still really, REALLY don't trust get (his reasons for first JoH and then HZ seemed fairly inconsistent), but if Spider-Men are mafia, Scarlet Spider seems like a good lynch.

Here's the thing though, The set contains how many symbiotes? Venom, Anti-Venom, Carnage, Symbiote generic, Toxin. That's enough for a full mafia of 5 in a 20 player game. I'd wager that given the write-up the sybiotes are the mafia and Doppelganger is the SK. You guys might be barking up the wrong tree.
