OK, any discussions on Prop 8, please go to this thread. I just posted the comic strip here because I thought the idea of a Rainbow Hulk was funny.

Any character with a political agenda tends to get the Politician keyword, so since Rainbow Hulk is actively against Proposition 8, I suspect he'd have the 'Brute' and 'Politician' keywords. So I could play him on a theme team with Amanda Waller, (the Arkham Asylum) Wonder Woman, Howard The Duck, and J. Jonah Jameson.
I totally support the creation of a Rainbow Hulk.

Square?
How's a threat to the most basic thread of democracy make me a square?
I could care less about gays and their hopes for marriage.
It's the message they're trying to send: don't like something? Just cry hard enough and it'll change.
Democracy isn't about crybabies. It's about VOTES. Prop 8 passed with VOTES. Crying, complaining, whining, throwing tanturms is changing it.
Does that even make sense?
It doesn't AT ALL.
You just watch, this is going to set one hell of a dangerous precedent.

^^^This^^^
Taken outside the realm of gay rights, this is a dangerous, dangerous precedent.
When the courts can throw out the voice of the people, the people have no voice. Also, once the courts do this - overrule the will of the people - then a precedent is set whereby the courts can always decide to overrule the will of the people.
Regardless of your stance on Prop 8, the overall precedent being set here is anathema to the principles of democracy.

But, really, that's NOT how it works. It's not simply majority rule unless one decides to just eliminate the Constitution and abolish the Supreme Court.
Majority rule is a starting point, but then it comes up against legal tests. Believe me, eventually NO ONE would want to live in a place that functions simply on majority rule. (Well, no thinking being would.)

Not every day you get to see a political thread embedded in the artisan section.
How interesting... I can even post this time! But although I would not want a rainbow Hulk sculpt, I'll have no problem swapping it out with a older Hulk figure if the dial is interesting enough.
It's also the destabilization of democracy, but that's another thread for another day.
(context: prop 8 was voted on and passed; outcry comes and now it's being overturned, taken to the appeals, supreme court, etc., etc.)
Is it better to allow a majority to strip away the rights of a minority? That seems like a slippery slope to me.
If 51% of people want to deny all the rights, privileges and humanity to the other 49%, they should be allowed to?
Let's put it in another context. Let's say there was a state whose population was 51% female and 49% male. Fairly even. An election came up with a Prop. that denied men the right to vote from that point on. All woman voted in favor, all men opposed.
Proposition passes. In your mind, this would be okay?
Silly scenario, maybe, but it proves my point.
Remember, Prop 8 was all about taking away rights that people already had (as gay marriage had been legal in CA before it).

That doesn't even make sense. That's how US politics work. If a local court makes an unconstitutional ruling it goes to the Supreme Court. That's how we beat, you know, Jim Crow. How is this new or shocking to you?
