By the way NO CLIX points on the new boxes and new packaging so no more squeezing the boxes to see whats inside, up have new flaps that are glued and you have to rip them to open the Box

Wait, the Con Artist is the AE of Daredevil? That's weird. Are both versions of the Hand Ninja's AE's with Daredevil? Or just the crouching ones? This is gonna be an interesting set.

EDIT: Also, do the SWAT people have any affiliation?

are you serious?? NICE, lol i never got a ring because i hate DC so i didnt want to waste 20$ on a dc starter, muhahahahaha, and i never had a figure snap off in the first place so yay!

Stats for V Mystique and Destiny would be nice ;)

Btw, V Mystique at 51pts and V Destiny at 29pts makes 80, put some Magneto in there, makes 183, plus you have room for a toad or blob.

There are gonna be so many new Brotherhood teams I'll be making after this set.

I think what we have here is the "it's on the wrong line" problem - I think the Hand Ninjas are both AE for Daredevil, while the Con Artist isn't.

well, I think everyone saw what I got on the other post where I put up the stats, but out of 5 boosters, I got 3 uniques. Out of the total 18 boosters between the people I knew, we pulled 8 uniques. hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

What I remeber about Hulk is that he costs 201 points, does 5 damage for 2 clicks towards the end, and has two rows of KO. Also he doesn't start quite as bad (numbers wise) as the other hulks, and he gets better & gets powers much sooner. He's also AE with Leader.

I'm very suprised that he doesn't get Regen. for 201 I was expecting atleast a click of Regen and I was really hoping for a click or two of Charge. Ah well, maybe on the next hulk.

I'll say I'm much happier with this Hulk than the others we've seen so far.

Well smart hulk would definately be the first hulk to have outwit, no doubt in my mind. He'd be similar to this version of the Hulk otherwise, however. Since he wasn't turning into banner during that time he wouldn't have a human click... his damage would probably be a little lower most of the time since he wasn't the strongest version of the hulk (which should be this version or Hulk as War).

An interesting little fact is that "Smart Hulk" wasn't actually Banner taking control of the Hulk form, rather, it was a new psyche created by Doc Samson that was much like Banner except without the lack of confidence and second guessing.

Anyway, I'm really hoping for a Hulk with Charge on his strongest clicks sometime, and a higher speed rating since he can leap miles at a time. He's faster then most people give him credit for.

Well, I'm sure I'm sounding like a "fanboy" now so I'll just get going while the getting is good...

No, you honestly aren't.

See, I like the Hulk. I like him a lot. I've wanted a Clix that really does him justice. A good Hulk, brutal in all ways that Hulk should be. No go in IC, so when I heard Xplosion had U. Hulk I was thrilled.

Then I heard he was 201 pts. and I was ecstatic! I imagined Charge! I imagined 5 damage! I imaged a high speed! I imagined Hulk as he should be!

This... is not it. It's good. It's better than IC Hulk, but it's not Hulk. It's pseudo-Hulk. It's the Diet Coke of Hulk: Just One Calorie, Not Hulk Enough.

I had hoped... Still, I'll use him happily because it's Hulk and even if I lose, I lost with Hulk. And Doom. I can have a Hulk and Doom team for 400 points now!

Regarding the Daredevil/Hand bases...

It's hard for me to tell from the pics here, but isn't this about the same color as the IC Bullseye/Daredevil base?

If so, then we'd have a three-way AE going -- Daredevil, Bullseye and the Hand.

For someone who has them on hand to compare, could you check that?

(While you're at it, check Spider-Man/Green Goblin/Hobgoblin)

I am so weak. I swore two months ago that I would look at and read NOTHING that told what figures were going to be in XP so, when I got my 2 cases, every figure would be a complete surprise. I avoided the pineapple but haven't been able to resist the previews, both here and on the WizKids site.

And now this...

Well, nothing left to do but wallow in my utter defeat.

To the best of my poor recollection, this occurred back in the days when Storm used to mess around with Forge. She lost her powers because she got hit with some crazy beam from some gun he made, possibly to save Rogue from getting hit with it... but I also remember she got her powers back briefly when she was made to take Thor's place.

This is also the era when she had the Punk-Rock hair-do and couldn't fly, but used her fighting skills, and guns to get her 'point' across.

I will post the rest later, but I traded my U Sauron for U Shadow Cat with Lockheed. She is a flyer with phasing, super senses and Energy Explosion. 4 range. 17 defense on the first click. I have always liked Kitty Pryde, and I am NOT dissapointed. Oh and I drove 28 hours (round trip) from No VA and I feel great about it! 6 boosters. ALL AWESOME! (12 boosters between all of us my friend got The Leader and Deathstrike!)

Hello All,
I know that alot of people dont want to know about X-plosion,but I can't hold out anymore.Sauron is the stongest taxi/flyer that could have ever come out.Now I know some people say that he is not worth the points,but as a Brotherhood fan He is the shiznizel.To start with BCF,then to mind control,and then Energy Steal.This guy is going to be used by many even if you dont like the point value.I am a Brotherhood fan so I guess that is why I am so happy about Sauron.

Wow, I just realized something...

I remember, while dining upon the pineapple that the Hand figures were to be called "Assassin" and "Thief", and then I saw people posting the stats and calling them both "Ninjas". I thought it was a typo.

Then it occured to me..."If they have different names, they would be each others' AE". Clever clix...

Yes indeed, the Vet Taskmaster was the best thing to happen to me at Megacon this year. And I'm not alone in wanting him, so I'll go ahead and break him down for all you Task-ites out there.

Range - 6
Targets - 2
Team Ability - Minion of Doom (The guy is a BEAST!)

First Click:
Movement - 8 (stealth)
Attack - 12 (B/C/F....that's right, 12!)
Defense - 16 (Energy/Shield Deflection. Range = 18)
Damage - 2 (Perplex)

The man is a god made click. Who's he not hitting? Who? Tell me! TELL ME! Say Unique Wasp, because I will perplex to a 13 and slag her!

Second Click:
Movement - 7 (Stealth)
Attack - 11 (B/C/F....11, are you getting the picture?)
Defense - 16 (Energy/Shield Deflection)
Damage - 2 (nothing...perplex is gone)

Taskie starts to change his tactics right about now.

He's got what you need! He can be healed, he can hit ANYONE...even the Antman and Yellowjacket LE's aren't safe! He is Taskmaster...and he's here for your daughters....AND HE'S ALL MINE!

This guy is no joke either...the Vet having charge with 10, a 11 attack with superstrength, a printed 4 damage with perplex. He's a hoss! A HOSS! Point cost is over 100 but well worth it. Imagine She-Hulk but deadlier. Do you really wanna talk to this guy? I think not.

I knew a guy from another board who was going to Megacon, and I convinced him to grab me a few boosters. He was only able to get me a couple of boosters, but I'm very happy with what I pulled:

Two of my friends and I made the long drive down to Megacon, mostly for the boosters. we were surpised to see so much was going on down there. Plenty of Stars (geek wise, anyway) and tons of cool vendors. Of course, the Xplosion was the highlight.

We each got our three boosters, and one of my friends dad came with, as he lived in FL, so he bought a set too and split it up between us. So, each of us got four total boosters. I convinced someone else to buy me three more, so I had a total of 7.

Now, Imagine, you drive to Florida, and have 7 boosters. You open them, and find a unique! Yeah! I now have an Apocalypse! Huge figure, OK sculpt. What could possibly ruin this day?

Well, not that it runied it, but jealousy reared it's ugly head. The first of my friends opened his four boosters. He pulled a U Phoenix and a U Spiderman. That's half his boosters had Uniques! I'm not a hater, though.

Then, my other friends opened his. Get this, out of FOUR boosters, he pulls a U Green Goblin, a U Sauron, and a U Deathbird. Yikes! Talk about luck of the draw! Had I only been one more step ahead in line!! Oh well.

At least I came away with some great figures. Among them:

I didn't think that new figures were tournament legal until 2 weeks after the product was released so that way it gave everyone a chance to get them and be able to use them.

Boom-Boom is a girl the Xmen or Xfactor found. She basically hooked up with them. I think her power is to sleep w/everyone on the team. I seriously think she dated half the new mutants. Anyway, she can make little bombs of plasma that explode on contact or she can have a delay timer on them. She decided to call herself "meltdown" once she became "more experienced".:laugh:

Well, I picked up three boxes today just to see what a few figures looked like. I must say I'm impressed. I pulled a rookie Paramedic, Con artist, Mandarin, & Mystique. Experienced Con Artist, Shadowcat, Crimson Dynamo, and Iron Man. Veteran Iceman Abomination and a Unique Leader. I thought it was a pretty good pull. Overall... meh. This is also the first set I've gotten where I've really noticed the whole "Vets are rarer than Rookies" thing-- I have pretty much an even split of CT and IC, but my XP pulls are primarily leaning toward Rookies.

I bought a case and it went from xtasy to agony real quick, but got better with one hiccup. My first booster I pulled an Electra, cool I thought. I did not pull another Unique until I was on the last 14 boosters, where I pulled a Hulk. In the last 12 I pulled 6 uniques, so I guess when they said that there is 8 uniques per booster they are correct. However, I noticed that I got Phoniex on a Sauron base, so now I have to talk to wizkids. Oh well, I was scarred that I was only going to have 2 uniques in a whole case.

Out of four boosters, I scored only one veteran, and that was a S.W.A.T Specialist.

Aside from a couple of exceptions (Colossus and Iceman), I was extremely disappointed with the look of the figures. The generics seem oversized, with the S.W.A.T. team appearing exceptionally bulky and clumsy-looking.

Sadly, the paint jobs of the figures I have before me are the worst I've seen so far--clumped on like cake icing by a kindergartner. Psylocke, in particular, is a horror to behold--more so in person than she was in the preview pictorial. When I do my custom Popeye clix, she'll be a dead ringer for the Sea Hag.

I'm not a negative person by nature, but this experience has taught me a lesson: no more boosters for me. In the future, I'll be buying only singles, selecting only the figures I want, and the few that are pleasing to the eye.

Bought a case and six loose boosters.

First Booster.

R Boom Boom (Oh well. At least she wasn't a duplicate)

Finished up the 6 loose boosters. total 4 uniques.

Then it was a bloodbath (Literally, I tore up a finger). After the ruins of the boosters were done there sat 12 little plastic figures with their blue packing.

I ended up getting 12 packs today and getting very lucky in my pulls. I got 4 uniques, Sauron, Green Goblin, The Leader and Weapon X. Plus I did some minor trading (like 2-3 figs) and now only have 5 duplicates. My friend (in the same store mind you) bought 16 figures and ZERO uniques (must have got his pull). He did get a lot of sets and not that many dupes, however.

It's all pretty random. Don't let one set of 4 get ya too down.

Some things which I found interesting...

Storm is on an Infinity Challenge or Arch Enemy base, but is black. Her base isn't inverted.
Shadowcat was in a fitted container (like Mr. Fantastic's), but she was on her base already (not glued of course).
Typhoid Mary also came in a fitted holder.
The packages are pretty secure. Very difficult to peek into now.
Green Goblin was in a blue holder in the 3rd slot down. It would be hard to tell from just 4 boosters, but it looks like the booster breakdown might be the same as Clobberin Time.

The randomness for R, E, V's is random but for the U's it is not. The U's come in 1 out of every 6 packs. But to make sure it is the 6th pack check the box for some thing like this: ZYCH5643ZKLJD. If you do find that find the number in that and divide it by 6. If it comes out to be an even number, buy that pack. If it does not just put it back and try the next one. That is how I got my Thanos.

It's not a guaranteed every 6th pack. Sorry, but that's just not correct at all. Again, out of 16 bought today by my friend, 0 uniques.

In fact, when I bought my case for clobbering time, approx 6 uniques were in the 2nd half of the box! I was getting worried after opening like 18 boosters and no uniques and then I started to finally get some.

Just a ####shoot. I got lucky today as far as pulls, tomorrow may not be so fortunate for me. *shrug*

So I immediately went to a shop that has singles and traded the Lady Deathstrike for a bunch of nons since this is probably all I'll buy of X-Plosion except for a few singles here and there when I need them to make a team. Except for a U Sauron, I didn't pull anything special. However, I did have 2 packs that had the duplicate figs. My 2nd booster had 2 E Typhoid Mary's and the 4th had 2 V Scorpions.

That kinda sucked.

I had the coolest ewperience at One-Eyed Jacque's in Carytown today.

I got 8 packs, my friend Austin got 4, and we sat down and opened with a dude I'd never met named Fred who had bought a case. Yes, we were the big geeks in the front window opening our boxes. Opening with Fred was awesome, because we just traded and traded and helped each other get everything we wanted (okay, mostly he helped me).

Fred did the coolest, funnest thing. He had me pick four figs I wanted that he had dupes of and he had me buy a booster for him in even trade. So I got four great figs I wanted and he got the fun of opening a new box. He even had me pick it out saying, "Let's see how good your kung fu is." Apparently my kung fu was excellent, because th box I picked had a U Weapon X!! So we both got something we wanted; he got a cool U and I got V Iron Man, R Mandarin, R Doctor Doom, and E Firelord. Sweet.

Went to my local comic store in Allentown, PA today to get my normal stash of comics. They got one case of X-plosion in and were pricing them as I got there. Now I wasn't going to buy any because myself and a friend are splitting a case.

Temptation got the better of me so I bought 2 Boosters. I went for the heavy boosters and opened them then and there in the store.

Lo and behold!

The first Booster had:

I told the employees I wasn't going to push my luck and buy any more. Especially after seeing the teo guys in front of me open their boosters and pull U Hulk, V Storm, E Iron Man and E Mandarin to name a few.

I figured the case was spent and no other good clix would be had. Then the Force started tingling in my head and I bought two more boosters. I picked out two heavy ones again, but also grabbed the two that had bulges in the third clix down area. The pulls were:

So I trade the two uniques to the owner who is going to get me the Hulk and a bunch of Taskmasters that I wanted and didnt pull :angry:
So I figured I blew all my luck on those pulls.....

My friend and I split a case but we are doing 3 booster sealed 300 point armies for the whole case and then back drafting. I don't remember everything in my first 3 boosters, but I do remember my team:

Geez, you know, I bought too many boosters for my (and my wallet's) own good. Out of twelve that I got today, I pulled two uniques:

Sauron, which is nice, and
The Leader

I hate the leader. For 113 points? Nah, give me Vet. Colossus instead. But can anybody tell me if Sauron is any good? He looks pretty balanced, and his sculpt is just awesome. Anybody has any tips, please fill me in.

Well, I picked up 3 boosters today (I have 2 cases coming tomorrow so I only bought the 3 boosters today :) ). Not being the superstitous type I just grabbed 3. Josh, one of the employees, was giving me heck about getting 1 storm on the front and 2 daredevils. He said that they all had to be different and that I should put one daredevil back and grab a hulk. So just to play along I did. I stood at the counter and opened the hulk booster (Josh was still giving me heck) and pulled a Green Goblin unique! Thanks Josh!

For all those people that say im wrong when I say that out of every six pack you get a U. Well if you find that out of 7 boosters you dont get a U, Well that mean's that none of those packs were the 6th packs. OK!:)

Have a case coming in tomorrow that I'm splitting with three other buddies, but bought 3 boosters to wet my beak, as they say, 2 for me, 1 for the roommate, here's how it landed:

Hats of to Heroclix. I had bought a ton of infinity challenge, and clobberin time and NEVER got a unique, and got doubles out the whazoo, especially of Doombots, Electras, Shield agents, etc... But after 8 boxes of Xplosion, I finally got my first unique (Shadowcat)(yes, uniques do exist in booster boxes), and perhaps even more unbelievable, ONLY 1 DUPE! Add to this a V IronMan, V Mandarin, V Abomination and more, I can only say XPLOSION IS GREATNESS!!!!!!1

Well, my regular shop didn't get them in today, but I broke down and picked up a few boosters at Gamestop ($2 more a box, I must be an addict...). I just want to echo what everyone else is saying - great paint, great sculpts, wesome job WizKids. I got five boosters with 1 Unique and only 1 dupe.

Due to allocation and stupid stores, (I love ya local store, but could you HONESTLY try to NOT sell all your cases to people who have them preordered and then limit people who want to buy by the pack? That really hampers people who are like, paying FULL PRICE for their packs...) I only got two boosters, here is what I pulled...

Bought 10 boosters earlier tonight. Got 1 unique, Elektra. Only 1 level 5, vet daredevil. No storms, colossus, no Mandarin. Overall, I'm not happy with my pull but I am happy with the figs themselves.

Who would have thought that reading about what someone else pulled would be so entertaining? :) With the booster shortage, maybe this is as close as some of us can get to our XP fix. :( Anyway, here's my story...

Found out today that my two cases had been dropped to "2nd wave" status. I did everything I could to wait but it was no use. I didn't make it a day! I went out and bought 10 boosters and my friend bought 2. We cracked them all open and, after he wrote down which 8 figures were his, we put them all into a draft pool and picked 400 point armies 1 figure at a time. My first pick was V Taskmaster and his first was a V Mandarin. The Tasker lived up to the hype and then some as he was the MVP of my win.

Some random pulls...

My friend pulled U Spidey (best Spidey yet!) and E Taskmaster.

I pulled the V Tasker and V Mandy mentioned above as well as U Elektra, U Leader (like the dial, hate the cost), E & V Iceman, lots of Hand (except the V BCF one I really want to spice up my Hydra army), R&2E Doc Samson (we each played an E, great piece), 2R Abomination, V Psylocke, V Gambit (didn't think I'd like the Cajun but my friend changed that by almost kicking my a$$ with him!), R ShadowCat, R&E Colossus and assorted others.

After only playing the one game, I must say I am very happy with this set. We're hosting a sealed booster throwdown this weekend that should be a blast...if our local store put aside enough boosters...

Played a game with Abomination (V100) against Hulk (E117) and Abombination owned him. Mandarin E and Sandman R defeated Iron Man E and Sabertooth R, they could not get away from Sandman and got basted by Mandarin who Outwitted Sabertooth's Claws. Madam Masque V and her Skrulls got butchered by Firelord. And Mystique V, Boom Boom E, and Wolfbane R sliced up Magneto R and Quicksilver R. 3-1 for the night.

Explosion. I got 7 boosters, and all I really wanted was the Hulk, the Leader, and V Iron Man.

I got #### for other 5 packs, except for an R, an E, and 2 V Shadowcats, and a V Doc Samson. :D

No V Iron Man, but overall, I'm happy. :cool:
