I'm thinking rookie iceman will be grounded and be the x-men's own lil' Avalanche: cheap barrier figure.

He is a good figure sure, the vet one, but he could have done SO much more. Really, at veteran after all his experimenting with white queen and all, he could warrant a little toughness, maybe even a click of super strength or BCF for when he was all big and pointy like.

Wow, Perplex at only 11pt., that's awsome.

If the more experianced versions of Con Artist have perplex on their first click(or there is a really cheap Pulse Wave peace in X-plosion), they'll change the game making high point figures a lot more playable(Juggernaut's damage too low?, just add some Con Artists and he'll be pounding away doing 8 clicks of damage).

These characters are great! They're totally my style (very mean and dangerous up close). BUT NOTICE! They are all different from other characters prior so that they don't make anyone obsolete. She-Hulk is still more consistent than Doc, Abomination has no Charge, Titania doesn't waste points on Charge/LC if she's got a taxi (stats are almost exactly same as Doc's), Hercules has better, more consistent stats than any of them.

I'm glad that they can make characters that are similar without making any of them worthless.

Ah well, I got to look at all the figures in the display case... wow, I want this set more than ever! Odd that Vet. Storm has flying but Experienced doesn't... I can't remember why that would be.

I think Iceman is my favorite sculpt in the set... the iceslide coming down from the flying base is great! I really have no complaints with this set, just a small disappointment in Kitty's paintjob. She has a major tan going on. =) And I think it's weird that her ultimate version (with Lockheed on her arm) is actually cheaper than her vet version. (All 4 versions are very cheap taxis, by the way.) I guess when I see her stats, I'll understand. =)

Though - if we're simply going after people with PhD's or M.D.'s at this point - there's Dr. Reed Richards, Dr. Bruce Banner, and Dr. Donald Blake (Plus Dr. Harleen Quinzel on the DC side; and does John Henry Irons have a Doctorate? I think Arcane does...)

Vet Storm flies but experienced doesn't, because Storm lost her powers to Forge's zap gun, and became a lethal HtH fighter, supplanting Callisto as leader of the Morlocks.

She also went Mohawk at about this point, and beat Cyclops in the danger room without her powers / flight etc.

She regained her powers later, hence the Vet.

All in all today was a great day....My first convention ever. Got to play in the 200 point constructed DC tournament and got a fellowship Arhur Curry. My wife and I both bought Xplosion and we pulled U Elektra and U ShadowCat(which I then traded for Sauron who looks AWESOME...he is HUGE) THey had the whole set on display and let me tell you it rocked!...

Looks like her only purpose is to use PC. With a free move and supersenses that's actually pretty cool that they didn't waste any more points giving her a low attack, they just saved you the points.

well thinking more about destiny's stats...for a 20 point rookie it's great. probability control is one of the best abilities, and i always bring out the scarlet witch just for PC anyway and she's 40 for her vet (the one i bring out cause her defense is better and can do some damage), but 20 points for PC and supersenses, i'm into that. i can see destiny on my team often

i know this isn't the right thread for this, but it was just brought up, and i'm kinda confused about the whole pushing action. i'll make it short and simple...

i'm hawk, i can attack someone..hit for damage, use another action turn...use hawk again and do more damage and that's what's considered a 'push' right?? i don't play that way, for some reason it seems cheap and dirty, but if it's legal, then i guess i better start playing that way like we originally did. but after hawk pushes, he takes a click (which would be good) and my next turn he can't move?? that's all, thanks to anyone who replys.

Anyway great job on the stats!

I know someone who has a hulk, so when hegets back in town tommorrow I'll try to post it up here. The basics are:

starts with leapclimb and tough 3 damage. Goes up up to 5 damage for 2 clicks, and still has a couple clicks after he drops back. He has toughness on his last click.

He also does NOT!!! have battle fury. Anyone for an indoor fight with against hulk and his new girlfriend shadowcat, who can phase and carry him right through those pesky walls.

Oh man, Emanon, you made me get really excited about this set. After you mentioned V Storm I told myself I'd pay whatever I needed to get it on Ebay (it would be the only one I'd actually buy early off ebay).

51 pts? that's amazing, and seeing that the rookie has an 8 attack, that means the vet probably has 10!!!!!!! (which is amazing)

Do you remember anything about Storm's stats (like what powers for the vet, stat numbers?) If you can't no problem, I'm gonna like go to the mall the day this comes out and get like 6-8 packs, I can't wait!!!!!!

btw, when is the scheduled release?

Storm is not a unique, she has R, E, V figs...I think she looks nice in the Xtreme Xmen garb. I did not see a Morbius...or at least don't remember him at all

The Storm fig looks amazing!!!! I hear her stats (at 51 pts) are amazing as well. Oh, and I'm loving how all of the X-Men figures are reasonably priced. I mean seriously, V Iceman 47pts, V Storm 51pts, thats cheap. I could easily make a 400pt team with most of the X-Men we are getting (because they are all great pt costs)

The Mandarin...I can't wait to get that figure, his sculpt is amazing, and he has the stats to match the look.

Not too worried about Mystique not having Shape Shift. The powers she did I think make up for it easily. Plus, I, personally, never felt that a one in six chance wouldn't have properly shown her ability. In either case.. ..just glad to have her. :D

I'd say they gave him only a 4 range to represent not really having a ranged attack, but rather the same attack with stretchiness that Mr. Fantastic, Dr. Octopus and Plastic Man have.
Though Apocalypse certainly isn't above using a weapon or two, so really I suppose they could have given him a longer range.

Don't let it get you down! He's just 62 points, has Willpowah all the way and as you pointed out can use his perplex to help him out. Imagine, a taxi with Willpower... and Perplex!!! Now that is something. :)

And, if you really wanna see something sad take a look at Iron Man, his E version's attack tops at a 9! And he costs 161 points... :p

Between GG and Doc Ock, poor Spidey is in for a lot of trouble. Wish our hero luck...
