I've used X-23. I've faced X-23. In all games X-23 gets hit, fails Super-Senses, and gets KO'd (either from the initial hit or the second hit).

Any ideas on how to make her last longer or is she just horribly designed? 5 clicks is pretty stupid, especially on a close-combat figure with a 16 defense to start, a best of 17 mid-dial, and back to 16 or 15 on Regen with no stealth - but I gotta hope there is some feat, ATA, BFC, or tactic that will make her useful.

Are you referring to the X-Force one or the M&M one?

Either way they are short dialed so I guess it doesn't matter.

X-23s aren't really intended to survive very long, both versions are incredibly cost efficient damage dealers with basic defenses.

You could try a few different things like only have her base figures that have two tokens, or put a larger threat next to the same figure.

Overall she isn't all that survivable but she does more damage per capita than someone like Wolfsbane for instance.

Also I think the new one was intended to be used with the WoS X Force Wolvie with him healing her constantly and removing tokens from her. Just a thought.

You could try perplexing her defense up, having a defend character around, or in Golden Age games feats like Alias might work as well.

The M&M one isn't bad because she is 35 points.

The WoS one is almost twice the price for almost the same dial. And with her powers she is a bigger threat, thereby she is a bigger target.

I'm thinking Protected is a must.

Gonna try her out on some constructed Golden Age teams to try and figure her out.

Well if you consider she is the secondary attacker on a squad (or should be) yes she will be targetted but she is best with some TK support of some kind.

If you are based with her and say SI spiderman, you'll probably attack Spidey because he is the better statistical damage dealer.

She's flawed defensively for sure, but all in all if your opponent is making a bee line just for her either you did something wrong or they don't know the true threats on your team.

Just like everyone else said, X-23 isn't your main gun. See should be backing up someone else or to be used as a tie up piece.

Little late in responding, but as of late I have done some damage with her. First scenario was I waited until her Trigger Scent opponent had moved (in this case DC75 #050 Superman. Luckily I rolled super senses and then bladed him, and pushed for another blade. Another game Magneto had moved, I TK'ed X-23 out to blades him (Trigger Scent again), then pushed to blades second turn. Another less conventional game, had her pick up the Crimson Gem which was sitting behind a heavy object (so she was still in stealth). Then she was able to charge, picking up the object, and hit her Trigger Scent target. I guess the best advice here is, don't move her up and and push to attack. She needs to get moved to the target, so she can attack twice in a row.

You could try putting her on a teen team with Armor and her 18 defense defend. May help keep her alive for a little longer.
