I would have to disagree with Xplosion not being a great set, as a huge X-MEN fan Im seeing most of the characters I havn't seen so far, and then some. Not to mention villians like Silver Samurai and Apocalypse. I think its a great set and looking at the stats, Wizkids did a great job.

Better representation of each faction. Xplosion has 1 Avenger, no MoE, Skrulls, Spidey Team or F4, 1 MoD, possibly 2 Sinister Syndicate (most likely 1), and more X-Men and NONE than you can shake a stick at. Now perhaps a lesser amount of Wild Cards is acceptable, but the next set really needs to up some of these factions.

I disagree. Xplosion does not suck. The sculpts seem really good, and the powers fairly well balanced. I admit, I'm not a person to make snap-judgements based upon limited amounts of information, but I think I'll wait until I decide the entire set is bad. Which it probably won't be - any set with Iron Man and Crimson Dynamo can't be ALL bad. ;)

I beg to differ. From what I have seen of the figures, their powers are more well rounded and dispersed across the Board, and I am very happy to see Gambit, Storm, and Shadowcat in the mix.
I also don't think that these small sculpts are ugly at all, and I think that for a 'game' they are quite good.
Yes, the pieces are collectable, but I also don't want to see the prices get too out of hand for Boosters. Better Sculpts = More $$$, and I think they are fine the way that they are.
Meanwhile, how funny would it be to see an "X-babies" team?
I still want Dazzler!!!
I'm also interested to see Madelyne Pryor Goblin Queen as a Figure!

Xplosion Suck's Period!, i was so happy when i herd that they were added to the Warriers section, but when i seen there stats i was completly digusted, WOW iron man can do RCE with a 7 ATTACK, This is by far the worst Wizkids expansion EVER, ok ill admit that Dc is screwed to but not as bad as Xplosion, all they were trying to do is get it out before the Xmen movie release, i mean come on Gambit Veteran ONLY ONE ARROW, ROOKIE DARE 2 arrows, that is some bull####, Wizkids, good job XPLOSION SUCKS!

it's not so much that this set sucks, it's got some great new additions, gambit colossus ironman mandarin iceman etcit;s just those great clix are overshadowed by a number of bad figures: madam masque destiny, it seems to me the good clix in this set look really good & the bad ones look really bad, from what I've seen of the set so far it seems there's no happy medium

Im with you that Veteran Gambit should have more than one arrow and Rookie daredevil should not.
But Xplosion definatly doesn't suck, Come on, dont forget Mandarin ,Iron Man and Leader are also in the set.

I personally feel we're seeing ####ty figures along with good ones so they can make a ton of expansions, each with new figures.
And I'll be the first to say Im fine with that.
Kensou- I can't believe that you feel the need to kick the groins of everyone at WK before the set even comes out to the General Public. The set does not "suck". If you truly believe it does, you must not like the game, as the figures look better (for the most part) than IC or CT, the stats are improved but similar to the previous sets. You come across as someone who would tell a small child that their artwork stinks because it doesn't look like a Da Vinci. If you don't like it, DON"T BUY THE SET! Just don't feel the need to be so negative and try to ruin it for the rest of us.

I think he would get Leap/Climb before running shot. He does a lot more leaping and klimbing becuase of his bird bones.
As for XPlosion Sucking. The only bad thing is they had to many xmen in it and not enough everything else. 19, 19 xmen related figures. 12 would be perfect.

While i'll admit that some of the figs in the X-Plosion set aren't exactly grade A looking, their stats are really well done. I've noticed that alot of people complain if their favorite figs can't go toe to toe with a Sentinel. After hearing about all the whinning about Gambit not having several attacks, well gee look at his 2 clicks of 4 damage (2 + RCE). That guy is dangerous. My favorite is hearing about Apocalypse's 10 attack (Neither him nor Magneto are Asgardian Gods, or the Thanos in combat). I mean these guys are mutants. They are decent in combat, but do they really merit a 13 attack? I could maybe see an 11, but not any higher then that. I think that the new set was to keep the AV down. DC has very low AV. I believe that the idea is that the battles will last longer.
Why are some people saying this expansion sucks before even using the different figures in a real game? Even if some people don't like certain chracters it won't keep other players from using them in a game. Wizkids is the success it is because people see the figures in a marvel set, want to own all of them and then start looking towards the next set before the upcomming set has even come out. Wizkids must me be sitting back with their feet on their desks , drinking Martini's and laughing over fan e-mails asking for Baywatch and Duke's of Hazard Clix sets.
P.S aren't you all mad about that fact that you took the time to cut out and save all of your clix points only to see that they aren't printing them anymore.lol

When is the next Marvel set coming out? I am curious as to who they will concentrate upon (Beit the Avengers, X-Men, Spiderman, etc..). I hope they make another Magneto (One w/o the Brotherhood ability, that can go toe to toe w/ the X-Men by himself. AKA a 140 point Magneto). Looking at the set they did a great job on Apocalypse. He can just phase in with an item and whack you over the head with it. I think Samson is a tad bit too strong (I also think that those con-artists are really gonna be abused to up damage w/ their cheap perplex powers). I hope they make a rule on the use of perplex, because I can see it botching up the game dynamics (Ex. having 4 con artists push Samson's perplexed damage of 5 to 9 points of damage).

I think XP looks great overall - very few (if any) truly worthless figures. When I say worthless, I mean a character that you won't use, I won't use, our friends won't use and none of us will ever hear of anyone using. Like Black Manta.
Sculpts all look good to me (except Psylocke of course) and some of them are the best WizKids has done yet.
Powers look fun and interesting while still allowing the other two sets to still get some play. :)

I want a "Dark/Anti-Hero" type expansion. I know it's never going to happen but there it is. I would like to see...

Acualy Xplostion is the best set yet in my opinion, have you seen the stas for, Iron Man, Mandrin, Doc Sampson, Abomination, Crimson Dynamo, Ice Man, Hulk, ect... If you have i can't see how you can possable think this set sucks, but you are intitaled to youe opinion.
DC taught me an important lesson.
Don't beef about the sculpts until you actually have the figures in your hands.
I was bitterly disappointed with Superman. Superman, the Flagship Character of DC. I thought he looked like a blind retarded person in a Superman suit who was trying to feel his way along with his fists while walking along in mid-air... when I saw the first pictures.
When I got my first Superman, I went, "Oh..." and repainted his face. The sculpt was fine. Quite good, in fact. He simply looked retarded due to the crummy paint job done by some Taiwanese granny who gets paid by how many dozen of the things she slaps out per hour.
My Supermen now look like Christopher Reeve, as drawn by Curt Swan. They're sculpted that way, you know.
I'll beef AFTER I have the figures in my hands, and can judge them with my EYES... instead of based on someone else's paint job and/or photography, and not with my monitor's resolution, you know?

Seriously, though, my vet Black Manta seems to be blessed. One game he tied up two of my opponents big hitters and lived through the entire battle (the phrase "doesn't he ever die?" came up more than once), and last week he held of Hercules for several turns, lived through a solid hit and hid in the pool taking potshots at people until a lucky shot finally killed him off.
And the sculpt is sweet looking ;)
I am still kinda new to this place been postin stuff for maybe a month or so maybe longer, been playing Heroclix since it came out and what i have to say will be blunt and breif. To all those that bash Xplosion i'd like to say, you want some cheese with that whine. All i heard and read from alot of ppl was complaining on how long it is before the new set comes out then its almost here and the same ppl are fraggin cryin about it. If ya don't like the sculpts or the stats, don't buy it. I am sure there are more ppl like me that would be more than happy to buy your share. In closing to heck with DC and Marvel bring on Indy Clix all i want is my Judge Dredd.

well i'm not as much of an xmen fan has i used to be collossus and iceman do rock.
I'll be happy with this set though it doesn't impress me as much as clobberin time, due to it having thor and hawkeye! two of my fav marvel characters. (i used vereran thor to killl 4 different clix (2 rookies a vetern bullseye and an expereinced black widow)in a row after church today,... hehehe
But as for the next set they better focus on one of the following 3:
Spiderman: Peferably a maxium carnage or symbiote type set with of course the two symboites a unique hybrid and tons of other little symboites. Through in justice and firestar (well firestar helped out) a few avengers and a real green goblin (not ultimate!) and i'd be happy.
Avengers: They could do nearly anything with em and be happy cause i'm a huge avenger fan. But if so this would give em room to throw in some more defenders, poor defenders fans.
Darkside: I SOOOO want a darkside of marvel set. Morbious, a new blade, ghost rider, punisher, cloak and dagger, the wolverine could be the brownish custom he wore for awhile.

Guys, lay off with the naysaying already.
You haven't even seen the actual figures yet and already the set sucks. I'm starting to think we shouldn't tell or show anyone anything before the set is released.
I have seen final production copies of all of the figures and they look great! Sure, in some cases there's room for improvement, but as a whole you will not be disappointed in how Xplosion looks...and I'm not just spewing the company line. I can admit when some of the figures don't look good.
As for the stats sucking, well, I gotta say you're wrong. I write up the characters based on, um, 23 years of comic collecting and lots of research material. They're accurate. Gambit doesn't have multiple ranged attacks because he can either concentrate on one target and do good damage or he can use Energy Explosion to effect a number of people all grouped together. Destiny is so far from sucking that it's silly. She's very efficient; lots of Probability Control and Super Senses for very few points because you're not paying for Attack and Damage Values. She'll be popular.
So, just wait until you see the set in person. It rocks.

I was perusing the posted stats and my most comon comment was "Man, I hope I get one or twelve of them in my case" so I think ya did a great job.
You'll always have someone tell you that... "In Tales of superness #134, it's clear that Urchinman develops the power to control toast with his flatulence!!! Why can't his Clix?!?!?" Ignore it. ;) You guuys have done a great job capturing the feel of a charcter as opposed to the nitty gritty carp, and I for one salute you on that. There may be a few I disagree with, but hey, I'm not putting my rear out on the line to make these guys, So kudos and thanks for all the hard work. :)

I really don't think this set sucks. Of course i'm a little biased, because most of my favorite characters ar already out or coming out in this next set. Ok, im a little dissapointed in a couple of stats, but i'll deal with it. (i'm still waiting for Angel, but i'm patient)

It's not that the fans don't like the work put forth for the game, they may be a little upset that certain characters got better treatment in stats or powers because of popularity (Hulk with a 12 Attack) as opposed to Apocalypse (sp) having relatively low stats.
Then again, games have always been this way; nature of the beast, I suppose.
Nevertheless, thanks for putting in the effort with character creations. We appreciate it.
JonL, please, do not let the complaining of a vocal minority get to you. I think Xplosion is looking terrific. As always, there's afew things I'd have done differently, and I do mention them, but not to complain, but rather, in hopes of getting another version later on that's like it.
Look at who's been the most vocal complainer... the guy that doesn't think Hulk should have two clicks of 5 damage or a 12 attack... I mean, come on, you really have to consider the source in a situation like this.
So, please, keep up the good work, don't let the complainers get to you, and remember, if you ever need an assistant stat-maker you know where to find me :D
BTW, Vegeta, how can you say Hulk gets good stats because he's popular?! Hulk is "the strongest one there is", after all, and I'd argue that Apocolypse is just as popular with the general public as the Hulk is. Lots of people know of Apocolypse, especially from the 90's cartoon.

This is gonna be a long month...
Xplosion looks great, and the Gambit figure captures the character's essence pretty well, and is a useful figure for a bargain price. Kudos for the 17 defense and Perplex. :D
I don't see what all the griping about Apocalypse is all about. He looks pretty sick to me, while not taking up the entire team. And Destiny definitely looks cool. 0 attack value and damage actually makes me like the figure more, since it gives her a lot of uniqueness and originality.
Good job on Xplosion! The only thing I hate about it is the wait....

Man that Iceman Sculpt Is very sweet! You captured how he looks as I and most of us, remeber him as the iceslide riding Talkin' popscicle!

Well now we get to the powers!
I love the idea of the Conman! a cheap way to get alot of Perplex in. I have to say this is one of those powers in the game that make the game a more strategically dynamic game!! so cudoes to you and making this power readily available to most teams and people!
More Outwit! exactly what we need! Once again this adds a more dynamic perspective to the game!
I also think you represented the characters really well!!
those people who say "blah blah blah hulks not powerful enough blah blah blah" or " blah blah blah 9 attack?? blah blah blah"
and other such nonsense, these people are those who mostly use one dimentional figs that lack any kind of stratagy, ala FL and Bane.... These people want focused Characters that have stupidly high Damage/AV/DV/Move values. these people are... min/max'rs. Anyhoo I would like to say that you, JonL and yr team did a GReat Job and nevermind the whining wankers who ###### and moan about things that don't go their way.

X-plosion will be the greatest selling expansion set in the history of all Wizkids games. It not only has great figs with cool powers, it also has great sculpts and ......X-Men 2 the movie coming out.
The set is amazing. Has anyone seen Ebay lately? For goodness sakes ...every Veteran figure is going for $20.00+ no one seems to be able to wait 3 more weeks.
I want to be the 19,343 person to congratulate Wizkids on a job well done!
I too was very disappointed no Longshot was included. I can see an expansion that would have Longshot and the x-babies in it.

I might be wrong, but I thought that one of the points of the Clix games was that it was to be a challenging game?
If you get all these figures that are completely unstoppable, doesn't that take the fun out of it?
I like the fact that I have to figure out the strengths and weaknesses of each figure, and the best way to either use them, or counter them.
That's where the fun is, not in what the figures look like so much, or how 'unique' they are, but the fun I get playing the game?

While I agree with you in points, Pallas, I disagree in others.
I think the game is different for different people. I play it for the fig's and the teams. Just as the box says "Play the teams you want to see!". But if someone plays it for the look, that's fine. Strategy? That's fine also. Just to collect the figures? Go ahead.
Personally, part of the game for me IS the look. If a character doesn't look like the character, or almost looks disfigured (IE Psylocke), then I might not be as willing to use it.
But, I do agree that some of it is figuring strategies and the such. But again, there's different types of strategy. There's the winning strategy, the fun strategy, and/or the "what would happen in the comics" strategy.
John L- You guys have done a great job on this set as far as I have seen. Don't let one or two sour grapes speak for the bunch. We appreciate the peeks, and the work you have put in. Unfortunately, not everyone will be happy no matter who is put in, who is left out, stats too high, stats too low.... Just take it with a grain of salt, and rest easy in a job well done!

What some of you guys need to do is jump off Jon's sack...Whether a couple people say xplosion sucks or not, Wizkids will still make more.Trust me. You are acting like little girls, we all have opinions, lets all discuss 'em.Its a GAME people.
This set does seem a little weaker overall than the other sets but I for one am happy about it. It was getting so that even an 18 defense value was'nt worth jack ish. Seems everybody was 10 and above on av's. A high defense is supposed to mean you dont get hurt that often....Now that I got all that off my chest I just have to say this though....Jon Wizkids whoever...When the idea popped in your head that a 95 year old woman would look pretty good on a map battling against the Hulk and Bullseye you shoulda signed yourselves up for frontal lobotomy. Yo, that Destiny chick is weak bro and no amount of propaganda is gonna change my mind...Rookie thug's cousin, rookie scrub would beat the ish outta her. She's just d@mn ridiculous.....

first let me say I like what I've seen so far. The figs look great and I'm not complaining about any of them. I have said it before and I will say it again.

I wouldn't say xplosion sucks, but a lot of the realy powerfull character have incredbly low attacks. I mean who realy whants to see rookie Ironman who cost 117 points but only has a attack of 8 with 16 defence get his butt kicked by experienced Cyclops who cost 68 points and has attack 10 with 17 defence. I mean Ironman has to roll 9 to hit cyclops but cyclops only has to get a 6 and then ironman is toast.
Alot of the weaker character are really good. But I just wish the high point cost character had better attack and there attack din't drop so fast.

Well I don't know how you can say that. i mean Thor can still kick the new Hulk's butt. With a running shot, 4 damage, 12 AV, and a 10 range, i'm sure that the mighty Asgardian could give a fart less about Hulk getting to close to him. Personally I think that Magneto would kick Thor's candy A$$. He would just use mjolnir on him for awhile, and stuff it straight up where the sun don't shine afterwards, with Thor screaming his mighty war cry :) Heck i think Thor is too powerful. i mean the guy will just wax the floor w/ Thanos. Tell me how realistic that is.

naw. the new set doesn't suck. heck, how can anyone even begin to say something like that without seeing the whole thing yet? we've got about half the figs in the warriors section now, right?
but yeah, i will agree with what others have said about the lowered stats in this set compared to other sets. nothing over a 12, and that's saved for the U's or vets of powerful figs. that's incredible.....and on par with the DC stats, which i'm really happy to see. for a while there i really did think that DC and marvel would stay separated because of the huge difference in stats, but now that marvel's are being lowered somewhat, i can see that they might start looking even (ok....even except for the huge number of figs now out for marvel as opposed to DC....but still....).
there are some very stand out figs in the set though. vet crimson dynamo (5 damage to start, invunerability and 10 life.....that's alot of life for a 134 pt. fig...) silver samurai (11 attack BFC with phasing and toughness for 40?) and shadowcat (relatively cheap phasing taxi?). these figs will change the game as much as the rook invisible girl and exp. black cat.....just good raw figs.

Thridly, I want to say that you guys did an Outstanding Job on Taskmaster!! he's one I thought would be one of the biggest challenges for you guys to make....but you did a bang up job on that one!
Fourthly I wanted to say to all those nay saying lil' punk @sses out there who whine and pine about the figs not being representative of the actual comic characters, Low attack values this.... low defensive value here..... blah blah blah... doesn't do twelve clix of damage there..... Sh!t.... you guys should get together and throw rocks at one another..
I mean these guys (JonL and team) actually check out these boards and listen to what people want and what people say. that in itself deserves alot of credit. Now making figs with the input of everyone is no small task... trying to please everyone is an even bigger task... and I think we should give them a lil' praise and EASE up on the NEGATIVITY.
Just an example....
So yr Ironman doesn't have an attack of 14.... nor a defense of 20.... and blah blah blah... what I have always thought was cool about comics was that it is a persons interpretation of these characters... yours differ from mine... JonL's differs from mine.... JonL's obviously differs from yours. So he ain't "borken" like FL, who cares... the comic characters are a lil' more complex then breaking them down into 4 stats man... So these figs are not YOUR vision of the comic character... so what... deal with it... Look at the good points and the bad points and weigh them against each other.... Ironman's got RS right..? well good... Ironman has RCE right..? well good.... Invulnerability? sure does! well sh!t that is pretty acurate right there... he's under 200 points right? good , means I can fit him a team and play him! well there has to be some sacrifice.
I think JonL and his team did an oustanding job in representing the essentials in these comic characters.. you know keeping true to the spirit of the characters, while keeping them playable and thoughtful! So for all you out there in Naysayer's Land.... BAH!... what ever, you ain't gonna listen to this with an open mind...

I really love ths expansion. Sure, about half the figures are much weaker than they should be, but for what they are they seem like a lot of fun, and mostly well sculpted (psylocke obviously aside).
What would I like to see?
Longshot would be cool, since the X-team needs a probability guru.
Sage, to give them an outwit piece.
Bishop, with RCE/Enhance, Energy Deflection, and EE.
Cable, a high damage TK in the Magneto range.
Deadpool/Agent-X, a primarilly ranged character with regen and perplex.
Blink, with phasing, flying and incapacitate.
D-Man U, which is basically a thug with poison and Avengers team.
Angel/Archangel
Iceman U, with higher base damage and muliple attacks.
"Feral" Wolverine with 11 or so clicks, all with regen, pathetic defense, 13 attack 3 damage, charge that goes to leap and climb.
Joseph U, with Magneto-powers on the X-Men team.
Cannonball, with charge, invulnerability, and high movement range.
War Machine
and just 'cos it would be funny, REV Powerpack. ;)
They could be a 100-200-300 point team, similar to FF.
Lightspeed, with a high movement, flight, and charge (1 damage though)
Energizer, with energy deflection, pulse wave, and three attacks at 2-3 damage (8 attack though).
Mass Master, with phasing, high defense, and close combat expert.
and G, with leadership to perplex, flight (short range), incapacitate to telekinesis.
How's that? ;)

Well, that goes against what is printed in comics since Thor can dominate the Hulk in close-combat. Can Thor still beat him in the game? Sure. Does Thor's stats reflect him being more powerful than the Hulk (like the comics)? Nope.

The comics have proven that Hulk is the most powerful mortal, period. He has also put the hurt on "immortals" such as Herc and Thor on many an occassion. Hulk's power has no top level, he's getting increasingly stronger all the time.
I have admitted that I want to see another Hulk, but I've also said that I like this one very much. I've stated that all I'd like to see is a better speed rating and charge on his best clicks, that's it. You can try to use that against me all you wish, but I'm not the one being rude to JonL, you were. I actually respect what he does for us.
Lastly, Hulk fans are a vocal minority. Let us not forget that the Hulk cartoon bombed and that the Hulk TV show (which I hate) was also before the creation of Apocolypse anyway. If Apocolypse were a good guy and had he been around as long as Hulk then he'd probably have had all this and more. I know plenty of casual comic fans and many others who never were into comics but watched cartoons who LOVE Apocolypse and would chose him over Hulk easily.
So, to sum things up, you're just a bitter fanboy that feels he has to complain. JonL comes to the board, which is unheard of for other companies, and you are rude. I'm sorry but I've got no respect for you. If you look at the way Apocolypse's stats stay he's actually quite stable and will be an excellent indoors fighter. I've also said that I hope there will be another Apocolypse in the future that is up to his level that he was at in the late 90's. Ummm... Age of Apocolypse was something I'd say was quite a "miniseries". It was a Miniseries covering multiple titled Comics. Again, I'll tell you that I know many more poeple who like Apocolypse over Hulk. Perhaps it's just a New England thing, but I HIGHLY doubt it.

I'm not real sure who is the fan-boy here Vegeta, seeing as I have old issues of the Avengers where Hulk smacks Thor so hard he lands in the east river and Herc so hard that his head dents the adamantium statue of the avengers founders some 50 odd blocks away....All while beating on the rest of the avengers at the same time.
Marvel has said on many occasions that while there might be someone who starts out stronger than the hulk, he has no upper limit on strength if the writer's need him to go beyond what he usually does. He'll always be as strong or as weak as the story requires him to be.
Case in point: Maestro, his evil twin, has a few trophies on his belt. Here are the highlights: Wolverine's Skeleton, Cap's shield, Iron Man' armor, and Mjolnir, Thor's Hammer.
Oh yes, and pardon me for mistaking your rudeness for being directed specificallty at JonL, it was just at his work and at multiple other people in the thread. (btw, good to see you edited half your posts in the thread :D smooth)

Actually, I regards to Apocalypse having his own book, completely aside from the Age of Apocalypse story line, there was a mini a few years detailing his origins and rise to power in Ancient Egypt. I'm not weighing in on any of the other issues, but I figured I'd point that out.

From going around the various threads since Saturday
it's clear that I'm among the majority when I say I'm greatly
looking forward to this set.
There are always gonna be some disappointments when it
comes to seeing the actual abilities for a character in competition
with the expectations in an individual player's mind.
Yes, I would have loveD to see Colossus with at least 1 click of
TK to simulate the 'fastball special'.
...Apocalypse with a much higher starting numerical defensive value.
...The Phoenix with 2 lightning bolts for dual TK to compete in a
small way with the big problem that's on the horizon...GL Corps ability.
...The 'Real' Green Goblin.
...but will any of those issues lower my level of excitement as the
end of the month draws near?...nope.
...cause even with all the things we could gripe about we have to
agree that these guys got a h*ll of a lot right in this set!
In my mind I can't wait to put a well designed inexpensive Spidey
on the board with the Torch and Iceman. A pretty frightening version
of the Hulk, Ironman, Beast...ever thought you'd be running scared
from Doc Samson or 'Super Elektra'?
The playing field is level...everybody's working with the same Team
Abilities, Powers, Stats and characters. So far I've found that there's
an answer for every tactic someone comes at you with. Find it...use

A year ago we didn't have this outlet for competition, strategy and

As far as Apocalypse vs. Hulk goes, here's my take, as a comic store employee. Most new comic readers have X-related titles and Spider-Man on their lists. People who say they want to read old books always start by going back through X-Men. X-people know Apocalypse well, and Hulk far less. Who are you going to prefer?
As far as paint jobs go, a painting miscue gave me the best figure ever, a vet Superman where the black from his hair bled down his cheeks. Looks like he's bleeding from a savage beating... I love it! :) Scorpion's gorgeous. Iceman is perfect. Silver Samurai is a beaut. That being said, yeah, a lot of the sculpts suck. I've already posted on the Iron Man suit. Crimson Dynamo's supposed to be a tank, but he looks more like a fairy. Can't make out Deathbird from the pic, but she doesn't look like anything I know. Mystique, Psylocke, Apocalypse, Deathstrike... nope.
Ultimate Green Goblin? That's just disgusting. Marvel's selling out the longtime fans, and p-i-s-sing on the work that everyone did before now.

The new hulk is definetly a step in the right direction, i never said it was bad, i merely said its not what id like to see, I also don't recall calling it not powerful... but oh well, people get all riled up for the oddest reasons.... and on another note...

Me thinks that you forgot to mention that Thanos only does 1 click of 4 damage :o All Thor has to do is the first attack, push himself for a second attack, and then Thanos does a 3 damage. I have both the veteran Thor and Thanos figure. Thanos will get creamed by the Asgardian. I didn't know that Magneto and Thor battled in issue #109, now if I could find it at this crummy comic book store I might find it. I'm still trying to find the Gladiator vs. Hulk comic, but they didn't have it :mad:
On another note, you know Vegeta that they will make a unique Thor, and he will probably kick everyone's A$$ as this version does now (Albeit at a distance). I have to admit though that I had to throw that joke out there about Thor catching that accursed hammer where he didn't want it :)

Well, I don't really think I should weigh in on whether or not Kensou belongs at some sort of quasi-Trekkie monastary or not, but, as far as XPlosion sucking as a whole, I'm going to reserve judgement until I have the figures sitting in my hands at the end of this month (screw you, Orlando-ians!). Looking at the warriors section, yeah, I was a bit disappointed by some of the stats I saw (why does everyone have perplex? Because they need it to actually hit anything! What's the average attack rating? Like, 5? Arrgh! But I digress...), but I was also pleasantly surprised by some figs as well (like my main man Doc Samson! What hole did they pull him outta'? I always thought he was pretty cool, but he is about the last guy I figured would ever get a clix! No wait, Hindsight Lad is the last guy I figured would ever get a...you get my drift--ha! Drift!....Eh, I suck).
So I guess what I'm really trying to say (or write, really, I guess...) is that the answer to the Kirk-Picard dilemna is...Sisko.

I remember an old comic either Hulk or Thor from the 80's where Thor used a cane back then to change into Thor and Hulk hit him so hard it knocked him back into human form. I wish I still had that book it was a interesting way to beat Thor back then.

Set sucks.
An all X-men set where every X-man in it is misrepresented. Gambit-screwed and I don't even like him
Collosus-weak defense...weak in general.

Why in world does everyone have perplex. It is f---ing EVERYWHERE! I'll spare telling everyone how badly Iron Man is gonna get it handed to him because it should be pretty obvious. And I've had it with Elektra. If I get the Unique I'm going to break it up and feed it to my dog. Then collect it in a brown paper bag and light on fire on JonL's porch
That's enough negative ranting. On the plus side the sculpts continue to improve with each set. More and more people are seeing characters they want. Still numbers and pricing problems plague sets. It's difficult, I know, but come on.

Yeah but first he has to get past that 18, let me repeat, that EIGHTEEN Defense. As soon as Thor hits him (IF he hits him) Thanos will strike back with his 4 Damage. Trust my, Thanos may be beaten in the game but NOBODYT'S gonna "wax" him like you say.

I also think that JonL and his crew did some awesome work with explosion. I am a bit sad that there is not a single member of the Sinister Syndicate in this set (why is Scorpion MoE and not Sinister Syndicate?), but i guess we will get a Spidey-related set with some of my favourite characters (Rhino, Lizard, Misterio, Kraven, Venom, Carnage etc.).

I always thought Hulk was the stronger of the two. It was after all The Hulk that ripped Onslaught to pieces when noone else could scratch the guy. I mean the madder he gets the stronger he gets. And no I'm not a Hulk fanboy. I don't nor have I ever owned a Hulk comic. I'm as much a Hulk fan as I am a Thor fan. But I do think that this argument can go either way. If its a Thor comic, Thor will be stronger and win. If its a Hulk comic, he's gonna win. I don't think Hulk having better stats than Thor has anything to do with popularity and everything to do with The Hulk being the king of layin the smack down. Case in point look at Firelord. How many people where Firelord fans before clix? He's the lamest in a long list of lame Galactus's heralds. Yet he is still one of the best pieces, in terms of power and points, in the game. And no I don't use him. I believe I can win this game with strategy and not by going for the easy win. But I'm straying from my point. Hulk smash!
