ARES and SENTRY DUO!

I made another Ares and Sentry mod and i just thought they would look cool as a duo...

I really like Sentry ripping Carnage in half.

At the same time, I think Sentry is too shiny in the duo.

Rep for the quality of the work and sharing it with us, despite my being no fan of either Sentry nor most use of the Duo mechanic. You're another one who sets a high bar for those of us who have considered doing some modding.

Any breakdown on the sourcing for component pieces and which ones were built (presumably) using green stuff/putty/etc. would be appreciated. The column in the Sentry/Ares piece is fairly obvious. Did you use some heating & repositioning of a Damage piece for the bulk of the Sentry in the "ripping" sculpt? I'm almost seeing an IC Hercules sculpt (again, skillfully reworked) under the Ares. Most likely I'm way off base on both. :)

Hi, The "ripping" sentry is sculpted using procreate. I used a generic piece as a skeleton (i think it was multiplex and toothpicks) and then added the muscles and then the cape, then the face, and lastly, the hair. I used a colossus for the base of the ares he's ripping though. I added the gore, the armor, and everything else using procreate. the rock at his back is from ragman. Fortunately, no hercules and Damage in this mod. :)

i love it! i would put them on a shazam/black adam dial. only thing i would change is a lighter color wash on the 1st sentry mod.

I guess i'm gonna do some touch -ups on the sentry mod. The shadows look too dark in the pic. Although i'm still gonna go with gold color scheme because he's supposed to be "the GOLDen guardian of good" :)

Well, I think we can all thank guys like Mike, Algrim, Vestige and Goldeeh for paving the way, but the standards of mods are really increasing now, including the digital sculpts, but I think it's fair to say you're the fastest improving modder out there, man, you're doing some fantastic work, keep it up dude, Wizkids/NECA should be hammering on your door soon enough!
