View Full Version : Red Son Superman in 75th?

I remember when the buzz first started for 75th a few people were mentioning that this would be a good set for him to come out in. Red Son is one of my favorite Else World Superman comics and I was wondering what do you think the odds will be of him being in there as opposed to other Supermans?

Red Son Supes is like the only supes I like, other than Hank. I would LOOOOOOVVVEEE a Red Son Supes, along with about 76.7 percent of the rest of the people who visit this site.

Yeah I don't want to get my hopes up either especially with all those White Lanterns in the set. My big wants are Red Son Superman, Swamp Thing and a new Dr. Fate, but I don't see those happening....

This would be the set for it I would think.

IMO, Red Son was the best of the Elseworlds stories. They could potentially make them this set, but I would not get my hopes up.

Yeah I don't want to get my hopes up either especially with all those White Lanterns in the set. My big wants are Red Son Superman, Swamp Thing and a new Dr. Fate, but I don't see those happening....

With our luck they'd make Swamp Thing as bad as Brave & The Bold's Ra's Al Ghul

They don't have any issue of throwing in Elsewords stories figs into random sets (Mr. Miracle and Big Barda), however they seem to only have the ability to choose the ones no one cares about/never heard of.

I mean Goodness and Mercy?

They should just make a full Elseworlds set. And a What-If? set for Marvel also.

I don't think he will be in 75th, but I can see him in the next DC set in early/mid summer of 2011.

They're not an Elesworlds but good ol' Granny Goodness when she was a teenager, just that. That you haven't heard of her doens't make her less interesting (I mean, marvel is more known than DC so if you expect only well-known DC figs, you'll get a pool of 10/20 figs at best:p)
I remember that Red Son Supe was announced back then to be released in Unleashed...So you see, pretty much a long wait:laugh:

Usually three. HoT was November of 2009, Brave and the Bold in April of 2010, and Web of Spider Man just this past September (2010). If DC 75th is released on time (Dec 1st 2010), we will have three sets in 2010, with 3 also in the span of one year (November 2009- November 2010).

Of course, this is not to mention all of the action packs, collector's sets, and starter sets that were released as well in 2010. ;)

This was a Promo Fan Piece done for Clix for the Cure. He volunteered to make it and as far as I know there is no plans for him to be in DC75th or any DC set soon. It was a fan choice vote here on the HCrealms last month. As far as I know, there will only be 4 made.

Kingdom Come deserves to have it's own set.

Of course there would be 2 or 3 sub-sets.

KC has 105 different Characters. That enough characters for it to have it's own set & have an Elseworlds set were approx. 20 figs would be KC

Personally, I prefered Purple Rain. Definitely Prince's best album.

Anyway, I really want all the Red Son main characters, Batman, Wonder Woman, Hal Jordan and Superman, that would rock!

yeah i want a swamp thing more than anything this set. But i feel disappointment is imminent.....
