Got some Giant Sized X-men News.

first lets start with some spoilers.

Brick contains the following: 8 standard 5 figure boosters like we have now. and 1 new type of booster, which i call a sentinel booster because it contains a sentinel in it.


BibTB fig will come in stores like Rag Surtur did for HoT. The Brick fig is Jaime Madrox(Multiple Man).

Those larger boxes will just have sentinels? I wouldn't mind that, but I would have guessed that WizKids will be randomly putting a variety of colossal-ish figures in the larger booster box (just like the really large booster boxes for the DnD miniatures game). How else are they going to get that Apocalypse into the set?

I'm not confused at all. Eight regular 5-fig boosters and one 1-fig booster. The 1-fig booster will most likely have some huge character in it, like Sentinel or Apoc.

Based on the size and on the term SUPER BOOSTER I think it might have more than one figure, it's the size of 2 regulars boosters so probably we can get giants and other figures in that booster...just my 2 cents
Edit: based on the last picture of the super booster I think my theory can be valid.

Yeah from the sounds of it the brick is backed 8 regular + 1 sentinal/super booster + 1 brick fig......at least thaat's what I'm seeing being said.

There should be no problem buying either the sentinal/super or regular boosters off the self individually.

X-men doesn't scream colossals to me, there just aren't that many in the world of mutants. But just in the general marvel universe:

5. Mephisto (a better version)
6. Mole mans' monster from the cover of FF#1.

8. The Watcher

I think some of these are much more likely than others, the possibilities are quite exciting. Although I hate the idea of getting duplicate colossals. That would anger me.

There are supposed to be additional "sentinel" packs being shipped out, besides where do you think single boosters come from? Broken up bricks. Just buy the sentinel packs that aren't part of bricks. Depending on what all can come in them I'll probably just buy a case a couple of those boosters.

On the other hand, assuming Jaime isn't unique, it also requires buying multiple bricks for just the brick figure and the giant/colossal. As I see it, a case should be about the expected Heroclix purchase for most players. Needing to buy 3+ bricks just to field an appropriate number of Madroxes and/or Sentinels, though...? Eh...there definitely seems to be some value guaranteed in every brick, but I'm still a bit dubious.

That said, the set itself looks good.

Unless they have a TON of colossal figures planned, this is going to be a major rip-off. To guarantee that we buy more than one brick... hopefully there are A LOT of colossal figs planned!

But then the bad side to that is.. completing a set is going to get very expensive.

Street Fighter clix that are 100% compatible with Heroclix. It makes sense for them to come out around that time.

I have to say I really wish they hadn't scuplted that giant A (FOR APOCALYPSE, DUUURRR) on his belt. That was removed for a reason and didn't even appear in the source comic cover. It's sort of like how they took the big ol' G off of Galactus' chest. It's just dumb.

That aside, I will own, file, repaint, and love that Apocalypse. I just hope he's worth his points and comes with some brand new horseman to play with.

If you don't care about it, this actually makes it very easy to complete a set, because I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people who will trade (or pay) heavily to get some extra sentinels.

I need to see the dials first. I lime figures who are easy to play. Hopefully the Sentinels will have simple rules.

I need to see the dials first. I lime figures who are easy to play. Hopefully the Sentinels will have simple rules.

Good points. If it's still a 60 fig set, with character choices and dials I approve of, then I may want those 10 other figs. I'm not really a Big or Colossal fig player. Giants, I will play.

I've seen some of the ideas people have posted as potential colossal fiugres. I, for my part, would really like to see Ultimo, although he'd be more a Giant than a Colossal figure....

^^^This I really do go along with. Of all the uber-powerful, cosmic level entities in the Marvel U, Phoenix/Dark Phoenix has received the worst treatment. Her colossal interpretations should do more against Galactus than just make him angry. I'm not saying they should beat him, but they should at least put up a fierce fight.

Actually the map is going to be the white hot room of creation, and when you play phoenix on it you may choose to KO every opposing figure.

I think you're spouting off without knowing what's actually going to happen. First of all:



They never said it was the same, you're just attributing it to them.



Again, lots of assumptions and judging without facts.

Let's say there's only one colossal, and it's a Sentinel. People have been asking for that for years, and will unquestionably want multiples. If you don't care about it, this actually makes it very easy to complete a set, because I'm willing to bet there are a lot of people who will trade (or pay) heavily to get some extra Sentinels.

Bottom line... it's way too early to start sniping and griping. :classic:

I haven't even had a chance to field my M&M Apocalypse, but I would love to open one a giant Apocalypse. There have been some nice character inclusions in DC75, but I am already pretty excited about this set, and I'm not even that big of a X-Men fan.
