Are you allowed to use more then one type of hero at a time of the same or different band colors? I have had many debates over this topic.

The only rule that there is on duplicate figures is that you can not have to unique characters that are the same on your team, or arch enimies of course. Pesonnaly I believe if it is anything but a lackey you should be allowed to have any duplicates of it no matter the color ring, but that's me.

Rules say you can have dupes as long as they are not uniques. Here's a quote from the rules eratta

A force can consist of two or more of the same character. The only exception is that only one Unique of any given character can be chosen for a force. A Unique figure can be teamed-up with non-unique figures with the same name. Two players may have the same figures in their force including Uniques. A Unique figure has a silver experience ring.

I think LE's (gold ring) are also considered uniques.

From the FAQ:

Limited-Edition Figures
Limited Edition figures are Unique. You may have multiple unique characters on the same team as long as they don’t have the same name. So, for example, you could play Spiderman and an L.E. Peter Parker on the same team.

However, you cannot play the Unique Spider-man with the black costume and the Unique Spider-man with six arms on the same team, or the Unique Superman in the black costume and the LE Superman (OWAW) because in both cases they are Uniques with the same name.

ummm.. yes you can play the unique spiderman and the LE superman. Those are two different Uniques, with different names.

As per rules. You can use as many uniques as you want as long as they dont have the same names.

So you could use LE Supes and (U) CT Spidey but you could not use (U) CT Spidey and (U) IC Spidey.

spydeyct, reread what he said. He said...

No U CT Spider-Man and U IC Spider-Man on the same team

- or -

No U HT Superman and no LE OWAW Superman on the same team

You CAN have U Professor X and any/all R/E/V Professor Xs on the same team (provided your venue doesn't forbid duplicates).

I think spideyct was commenting on Grinners statement.

Grinners stated you cannot use 2 unique Spider-man(ic105 AND ct088) on the same team.
Grinners also stated you cannot use 2 unique Superman(ht141 AND ht130) on the same team.

Grinner did not mix Spider-man and Superman on the same team, but if he did it would be legal.

I just love pronouns.
