As fun as pokemon was as a card game it makes way more sense as a clix game think about it, evolutuions in the form of experince rings, they already have preset powers and instead of lifless drawings you hvae your own little pocket monsters!

Too bad it was the #1 selling game in Japan last year - and it came out in November. Expect similar success next week at Us launch.

Anyway, I'd love to see Pokeclix. The monsters translate incredibly well to the PAC listings, if you have 'types' instead of 'teams' which get damage bonuses vs a certain other type. Trainer characters could be support pieces (using medicines, cheering on, whatever) and uniques are a no brainer really for anyone who knows about legendaries and such. They could also have uniques for trainers from the anime or whatever....

But this is Nintendo related, not just pkmn. It would be great to have Nintendo characters from all over the place, just as Smash Bros does it so well. Captain Falcon, Fox etc. would be great characters.

Uncompatible with heroclix. comic books are a world in which it is logical to pursue the career as a vigilante in tight gaudy spandex, video games are a world in which it is logical for a plumber to save a princess by throwing fire, which was derived from a flower at a giant turtle. Actually, a 'list' is harder than you think. Sure, R/E/V works for some monsters as they have 3 forms, but some only have one or two, and some have alternate forms. (Eevee has 6 altogether). Plus, since there'd be lots of different sculpts, the overall number in the set would be lower. Allowing 12 uniques, you only have about 9 R/E/V lines total if you stick to standard 3-form monsters.

Ehh, it won't let me edit my own post... anyway, quick stats explanation.... 11 clicks because it's the biggest damage sponge in the r/b/y game (all-around, can take more physical pummeling than Chansey). Charge because it provides knockback immunity. Super-Strength makes sense for that huge beast. Invulnerability and Toughness to add to it's tank-ness. And Regeneration for when it goes to sleep and recovers HP.

Look, about 4 years ago, Pokemon was my favorite thing in the world. I didn't play the game but the creatures were cool. Then they scerwed everything the #### up by relasing those ####ty lame-### movies which got some people thinking they suced@$$
so i liked the creatures and things like articunop a moltres would look pretty cool but come on who realy wants a golbat or something flying around net to wolvie. Hell he would slice em' dice em' and serve him for breakfast. I also must mention that they completly ruined that franchise by releasing so may sets so everything and i mean everything was worthless. The only reason i never sold them is because they were presents and now i want pikachi to burn in moltres. If you think of it from a marketing prospective, its pure gold(nintendo or pokemon).Bashing aside pokemon had a huge following for a while, and still has a considerable following.It opens a whole new demographic to wizkids (the 6 to 12 market), these are the kids who might like comics, but dont regularly visit a comic specialty shop, so the probably dont know who quasar is, BUT its a garantee that the DO know Pikachu (or Mario if Nintendo clix is prefered).This is the kid of thing that Creepy Freaks is trying to achieve is to appeal to that market.My oppinion is that because it doesnt have any character recognition to it, its doomed to fail.Had it had the Monsters Inc. name on it kids would be more likely to pick it up.This is the reason I picked up Heroclix before I got into MK:dungeons, I identified with the comic book characters.My only concern is pokemon doesn't have half of the longevity that the rest of the nintendo characters do(with the exception of Pikachu).what could be done is 2 seperate games(like marvel, and dc), Pokemon being the easier of the 2 games because it appeals the the younger crowd.All that would be needed would be arena maps(no need for different terrain types, just go to the center and duke it out).

Actually, Pokemon is not at all a bad game. The TCG is amazing, and so are the video games. The TV is utterly horrible, the movies were a bit better, and the overall marketing strategies used in the US killed the whole thing for those who really appreciated the GOOD qualities of the franchise.

For those of you who hate it, hate the annoying little kids who made it a fad and killed it for those of us who happen to like the TCG and RPG for its strategic value. I can agree 100% about hating certain facets of the concept, but overall it is very fun and shouldnt be hated like it is.

I agree though, make it its own independant game. Hand make the powers better too. Same with Nintendo Clix. For those who just post to bash the ideas, if you dont like the idea, just go away and dont post. We dont need to have someone being bashed by someone who doesnt know or care about the idea at hand. Some people are taking this WAY too seriously, and we know straight up that none of these will be created in the future. Wizkids wouldnt want to pay the rights for them.

Basically, he charges at long distances. Perplex because he is so hard to capture and he runs in battle until captured. That would be the easiest to drop of the abilities. Super Senses over Toughness or Invuln as he is more fast and agile than hard to hurt. Energy Explosion as he breaths fire. Simple enough.

Also, as a disclaimer, if this were in comparision to DC or Marvel, the stats would be MUCH MUCH lower. This is if it were Poke Only. I am a HUGE pokemon fan, but they would be utterly maimed by a super hero, and I mean even Black Manta would kill them.

The clix thing is a bad idea for ANYTHING else than what's out right now. They've got like 2 different Mage Knight clix things. A Mechwarrior click game, a WWII click game, Superhero click game, and now Shadowrun clix games and that kiddie clix game. I don't want an oversaturation of clix games, that's just insane :)

It's ultimate attack is Hyper Beam. Whether this is spoilers or not, Snorlax in the anime uses Hyper Beam _a lot_ in the Fusube Gym and the Johto League. (I watch the raw episodes from Japan, hence the future knowledge). Add on the fact it can TM most of the special type moves like flamethrower, thunder etc and I think range is justifiable, just maybe drop it to 8.

I wouldn't mind if they maked a pokemonclix game, but make it a SEPERATE GAME! like MK or Creepy Freaks. I think the addition of pokemon would drive many HCers away. There is a huge pokemon fanbase but there is also a huge pokemon HATERbase so it's kind of a double edge sword.

For the poke clix people...

Crepy Freaks probably WILL take off and give you what you're hoping for. I got the full demo at Toy Fair 2003.

Launcing in September, Creepy Freaks will hopefully be a TV show - WK is in negotiations I hear. THat's the one thing Yugi had going for it. Also, each starter will have a DVD with a 20 min epsiode from the series and a how to play video!!!! (I would have loved for Yugioh to have had such a gimmick - the tourneys I run have 38 kids with 38 different ideas on the rules b/c they couldn't translate japanese to english right)

Just MHO : Shadowrun will be a success, Crimson Skies will bomb, Creepy freaks could very well be the next pokemon or yugioh.

i think it should stick to the proper nintendo people (sorry, my opinion) so no crazy hand or master hand.
PLUS- i think most people enjoyed luigi masion and mario sunshine enjoyed the games alot but wouldn't like to see mario and luigi with there house cleaning equiqment!

Hmmm.... Little kids saving the world... a normal thing in the world of video games. The entire point was to give the little kids who were playing those games someone they could identify with. And now that all us little kids are grown up, we're getting more grown up characters, though certainly we still see kids to draw in the next generation. I think in real life no little kid could ever save the world-- but you put him or her in a video game... you never know. It's all up to the writer in a game. Actually it's all up to the marketing department, but I digress...

If they made nitendo clix i would like to see a wind waker Gannondorf with the dual sorwds and as of they should keep out every pokemon except Mewtwo and Jigilypuff.

Number 2... I STRONGLY suggest you play Super Mario Bros I II AND III. Luigi is the SAME as Mario, save for ONE added bonus: He can jump higher. Otherwise, they're equal. Still only takes one hit to KO (has ANYONE factored that in? ONE HIT!!! Give him a team ability that's like an inverted skrull team-- if he roles anything but a one the hit misses. But it still takes only ONE hit, unless he's got a mushroom (AKA, experienced) or a fireball (AKA VETERAN) and the capes, racoon suits, and NEED I remind you, SOCKS (HELL YEAH!!!!:grin: ) would all be uniques.) But LUIGI is the same as Mario save for that ONE advantage. It's just, Mario always got the princess cause Luigi is socially inept. (You guys DID read the book series and watch the tv show, right? explains a lot.)

Ah yes... Super Mario Brothers... The TV show... LOVED it. Used to watch it EVERY day. It came on in the afternoons, so I would just sit down with my brother, we'd watch, and then I'd be Luigi (he was taller, so he should have been Luigi, but I was smaller so he beat the tar out of me if I didn't be Luigi...) and it would end in some completely meaningless squabble over this or that... who got the mushroom, who killed bowser, who tromped on Toad... You know... we were kids. But boy, what I'd give for the tv series on dvd right now... They didn't ever release it even on VHS, did they? Ah, well...

Also, in the Nintendo Power Super Mario Advance guide thing it says Luigi has average strength and speed compared to Mario's above average stats. Yes he can jump higher. But that doesn't matter too much in Clix terms. Again Also, I did say that Luigi would be like thta to be different from Mario. Now! Here's another character.
