300 Pt Special Team

I could and may also post this under DC but I'll start here.

On Saturday I'll be in a tournament which is 300 points all of one team or no team affilation. Meaning all the figs I use would have to be lets say Avengers or JLA or no-affliation whatsoever. No mixed teams. So any advice?

I'd probably go with either JLA or Avengers. Most likely Avengers. The JLA are good, but Batman and Superman are key members, and their JLA versions stink. JLA Superman is too expensive for a 300 point team anyway. Avengers are the way to go. They've got a ton of figures to choose from, with widely varying powers and abilities.
