So what do everyone think about the new unique ?


who is going to be the next Nightcrawler ?

I think Apacalypse with be the hot one.

Although, Elektra, Green Goblin, and Hulk will be popular too.

Sauron looks very very good for his points. And Deathbird looks nice and versatile. I'd have to say at this point they might be the two most effective (points wise) of the uniques. Elektra and Hulk look right nasty, but thy are quite a few points to lay out for.

For me I'll be hunting the Shadowcat figure like nothing else. Her and Phoenix are the two I want the most.

Weapon X does have willpower mid-dial, so for his cost he isn't awful, just not as great as some of the othr uniques.

I think that the general HC playing public will look at Apocolypse and think he sucks at first. They'll want him for his figure or just because they know of Apocolypse but I don't think he'll be the top Unique. Hulk is going to be really hard to find.

I think Green Goblin will be much sought out by the general public, especially those who are into Ultimate Spider-Man (the one Ultimate series I can't really get into for some reason). I also think the new Spidey and Sauron will be popular figures.

the Ultimate goblin is a worthless piece of plastic.

Despite Elektra's godly stats, only Sauron is interesting because of the flier, Charge and BCF combo with later Mind Control. The others are kinda ehh...

Weapon X/Shadowcat/Deathstrike - A wimpy Wolvie, an inferior Shadowcat and a... something that is halfway between IC U Elektra and Sabretooth, but worse than both.

Spider-Man is good If he does indeed have Perplex on his first click and 3 damage - these were the first values listed, but Warriors has it at 2 with no power.

Goblin - by default, hate the inclusion of Ultimate-verse characters. Solid character, might get him but the above reason, meagre though it is, is a block against that.

Deathbird - Too much versatility overdoes it, maybe, but I see nothing overwhelming here.

Phoenix - range and nothing else.

Elektra/Hulk - too expensive for what they do. (in $$ as well, likely).

Apocalypse - he's decent, but Super-Skrull and Swamp Thing do the same thing better (minus Perplex, but that's being given out like candy).

Finally Leader, who is extremely similar to Enchantress. Could be good since he has Willpower, but I dunno, Enchantress doesn't get much appreciation either...

I do believe for the points that Green Goblin is great his dial is excellent. Phoenix is not that great and elektra and hulk are pricey. Look to see Shadowcat as the most versatile soooo much stuff for just over 30 points! Don't count out apocalypse I do beleive he is the most underated unique right now! 130 pts!

The sad thing is I already salivate over Savage Hulk. At first I was a bit miffed, but they're starting to grow on me; it was the lack of charge that made me cringe.

But, he gets his best clicks not-right-before-death, but a few clicks away. He starts off good and progresses to mean. 5 damage raw for two clicks his handsome. And lack of Battle Fury makes him taxi-able for the whole game. He's a good fig.

Early on though, there's no real Unique that looks breaking like Nightcrawler, though Sauron is lookin' mighty fine.
