One of the ministries I work with at my church is called "Appalachian Service Project." Each summer for over 20 years groups of youth and adults have gone to impoverished communities in Appalachia and spent a week working on improving people's homes, doing manual labor to make the homes "warmer, safer and dryer."
It's kind of like a "home makeover" project for poor people in Appalachia.
It's a great way for the kids (and adults) to give to less fortunate folks in a meaningful way and really opens their eyes to the conditions other people live with daily.
So why am I telling you all this?

The same weekend as Clix for the Cure our kids are selling 12" subs for $7 as a fund-raiser for this project. The subs are good (I eat them and I'm fussy!) and are a 12" sub roll stuffed with turkey, ham, bologna, salami, American and provolone cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Onions are optional.
People coming to Clix for the Cure East Coast can order them by posting here or PMing me. I prefer you pay at the event by check (payable to OEUMC - ASP) but will accept cash at the event.
I'll purchase however many subs we need and bring them to the event. If you order one PLEASE don't change your mind later because I can only eat so many subs!

If you are not coming to the event please contribute to a homeless or other charity locally in your town. There are tons of good causes. I will not take any contributions from folks who don't actually get subs at the event. I don't think anyone should solicit donations on this site and suspect the Mods would agree. I simply offer this as a service to players coming to Clix for the Cure East Coast and it serves the dual purpose of helping a worthwhile cause and providing a yummy meal to players!

Thanks!

OK, got you covered!
I'll also buy one for me, as well as Gudda and Nbperp, both of whom will help run the event that day.
So that makes 4 so far.

Talked to the wife last night, and we agreed that this sounds like a good idea, so sign me up for one too Tom. I'm really looking forward to this event.

I won't be there, but I respect what your doing, and the outside the box thinking, so here's a bumpity bump.

Put me down for a sub, too... then I don't have to worry about what I'm eating. :D

I have to have all the orders in by next Sunday. They'll be making the subs the morning of our event, so I'll pick them up on my way to Family Game Store.

Giving this a bump to the first page, so that people might see it, and get one.

Oh and Tom, is it too late to ask for onions on mine?

Onions will be there!
Picking up a total of 10 subs, so a few folks can get one even if they didn't order one.
