Nothing does my heart better than laying waste to a three Firelord team.
Spidersense's Army of Doom teamed up with my Ultron's Avengers. We went up against the infamous Virus Barrier Boys. Ultron's Avengers consisted of some SHIELD Agents, E Ultron, E Boomerang and U Wasp. R Doom brought some Doombots, AIM Medic, and a R Avalanche to the table.
The Virus team consisted of two E Firelords, a R Firelord, two Pyros, Boomerang, V Doombot, Invisible Girl, V Black Cat, Captain America, and some medics.
We played an indoor map. Round 1 Virus's brother ran E Firelord, Boomerang, V Doombot and V Pyro up into a 2x2 formation. Spidersense and I leapt at the opportunity. Wasp flew Ultron up to some SHIELD agents and let loose with a multi-attack energy explosion. I rolled a citical hit. The entire team took 6 clicks of damage, which thanks to Doom's previous attack, wiped out the entire squad in one blow on round two.
I ended up rolling a total of 4 crit's that day. Ultron and Doom took some damage, but our support staff helped pull us through. What was funny was watching them complain about tactics that we used, that were the exact same ones they used to win at tournies. I was amazed as Virus' brother went to ask the store manager if me wiping out his 4 guys was legal, when I'm the primary judge for the store. Then when we cast a barrier with no line of sight [which is legal according to the FAQ], they forgot how many times they did tht in the past and tried to argue it wasn't legal.
The game took a hella long time to finish, because they refused to quit even though they had no chance of winning. I admired their gusto, but it was hella annoying.
Later, Spidersense and I played some solo games. The barrier boys left after their trouncing. My BCF Team went against his X-Men, then the Skrulls invaded New York defended by Thor and the Avengers. We had a lot of fun and it cleaned the pallette after the last battle. I had Sabretooth attack Jean Grey instead of going toe to toe with Wolverine, because I knew he would rather kill Jean in front of Wolvie to tick him off even more. It was great actually doing character-based actions because it made the game more like a comic book. There were several Skrulls who died going B2B with the Avengers "for the glory of the Skrull Empire" while Super Skrull carried Nenora around, trying to wipe out the Avengers and Spider Man.
Spidersense is a fantastic player and a hella good sport!

To add a little to the report, it was funny to see the store manager basically "shoo" him away regarding the rule clarification. Too funny.
Firelord: $3
Ultron: $5
Having your friend use a Shield pumped Ultron to critically EE your opponents Firelord and 3 other friends: Priceless
I have a real love for the 10 round 300 pt game. I lost both games to shin-goji, but actually seeing Sabretooth run through my Jean Grey was just too fun. Seeing my Wolverine try to come for revenge only to hit for a 1 or so on BCF sucked from a team standpoint, but you cant deny the comic book feel to it.
Shin-goji's skrull army is tough in a 10 round game and fun to play against. There was the skrull in a wheel-chair (Prof X mod) the skrull pretending to be the Thing, the Skrull pretending to be the Hulk and a host of other little green men. My Hercules smashed a couple of Skrulls, but they were replaced easily. U Wasp missed an incapacitate roll on Super Skrull, but in the end, Thor and friends just took too long fending off the invasion.
To those out there that do not play theme teams or are locked into the mode of "win at all cost because this is a game", you are missing out on some real fun.
Having the right opponent helps too.

"Win to crush" games do have their appeal, but if that is all you do not many people will want to play you. I'm looking forward to building "Freedom Force" after X-Plosion comes out. Spiral is feeling lonely, and she has a government-issued suit of Mandroid Armor ready to throw her into battle.
I really really want to build some Capcom Marvel teams. Sentinel, Silver Samurai, Psylocke [Target Nuetralized], Cyclops [Behold!], Magneto, Sabretooth [Birdie!], Juggernaut [Juggernaught Headrush!], Rogue [Godnight, sugah], Spiral, Apocalypse[You are not fit!], Gambit [Royal Flush!], Wolverine [Rookie!], Storm, Colossus [Das Vendaniya!], Iceman [Arctic Attack!]. Marvel Super Heroes and SNK vs. Capcom is a completely different story.
What about Thanos(power),Hulk(gamma crush)and Iron man(PROTON CANNON!!!). If they ever did capcom clix i could have my ever nasty Akuma.Silver samurai,Iron man team.
Messatsu!!
I just checked and we have 20 of the Marvel characters from Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. Insanity.

Now if we could only get Street Fighter Clix!

I definately agree with the theme team viewpoint.
Its much more fun to play a comic style battle than a jumbled mess of figures who would never team in the comics.
It also gets rid of the annoying 2 and 3 medic scenario as well.
The only way I ever field that many medics is in a Hydra or Shield based team, and then you need them desperately.
Man, it doesn't even have to be limited to Street Fighter clix, it could be Capcom clix! That way we'd get other favorites like Megaman, Captian Commando, Resident Evil characters and generic zombies (and you know you want zombies so you can play and say "eat brains!" alot). Of course there's others like Stryder and our ever terrific Street Fighters.
Heck, I'd be happy having a "video game clix" (with a much better name, of course). Shinobi, Samus Aran, That guy from Halo, there are so many characters that would make good figures.

Let's just go for Capcom vs. SNK Clix! We could have one of the most popular expansions ever!
"My Oorchi Blood Iori Psychic Blasts your Abomination for 3 clicks!"
"Oh yea?? Well my Vet. E. Honda flurries your Cammy for 4!"
Man, this is what dreams are made of lol :D

Ah, if only there was an Omega Red, then we'd have every character from X-Men: Children Of The Atom (well, except Gouki).
Bring on the Vampire/Darkstalkers clix. They should have a team ability of Toughness - c'mon, they get sliced in half and blown up all the time in the games.
Buletta/BB Hood and Gallon/Talbain AE's, hehe.
Shin Akuma... 'nuff said!!!
Or God Rugal as the new Firelord.that dude is just plain cheap in Capcom vs. Snk2.
Darkstalkers would dafinately have stealth as a team ability! I mean, they're DARKstalkers after all! Oh man I wants a Demetri, Talbain, Felicia, and Lord Raptor.
Jedah would be cool as well.

I doubt half the Darkstalkers can hide with any kind of success - a glowing alien being, a giant robot/frankenstein/mummy, little red riding hood.... sure it works for some but just vie 'em Stealth...
Also note how many 'stalkers have blades, claws or fangs of some kind. Insanity!
Mega man could have a power that allowed him to choose a power from an opponent he lust K O ed to represent his ability to use his enemys' weapons.
But would you truely give most of them BCF? Sure, we've got vampires, but I wouldn't give them BCF because they don't really used them to fight. Talbain, Bishomen, Jedah, and maybe Vet. Felicia would get BCF in my opinion. Most of the others use other attacks and not blades. I'd give high natural damage to Demetri and a high defense for Morrgian, no BCF however. Lord Raptor uses attacks that look sharp, but I wouldn't give him BCF, same with the Chinese Ghost girl.
And the majority of the Darkstalkers are pretty stealthy. There's afew exceptions, but aren't there always? Oh, so Pyron, Sasquatch, and maybe Ankaris shouldn't stealth... they are, however, always fighting at night. I bet Ankaris could get the drop on someone in the dark, even if he is a big mummy. All you'd have to do is just not give the team ability to those who wouldn't be able to really hide in stealth, that's all.

you know also playing a theme based team and playing out with strategy and fun will also help for fellowship
i played a 500 point tourney with sentinals and just captured i lost misserably most games but i did capture thanos in one game super skrull in another and some others throughout the tourney
most of the fan boys appreciated the style of game i played and handed me a beating but in the end i was the most fun to play against and got voted fellowship so sometimes it does pay to play themed teams and have a little fun
next time ima play the JLA if we have another 500 point tourney themes all the way hopefully i can win this time around

I'd say they should make different sculpts for different powered Megamans, like they're going to do with IronMan. one REV set and then a unique in each expantion.

Were I to be coming up with powers for the individual DStalkers, I'd certainly have BCF on Jedah, Bishamon, Donovan, Gallon, Felicia and even Zabel Zarok/Raptor - a lot of his attacks involve that crooked yellow blade or turning a body part into a circular saw or chainsaw, plus the spinning top move where he sprouts lots of nasty blades. Demitri's vampire biting isn't really grounds for the ability since he's usually throwing fire bats or spinning into a foe.
As for team ability being stealth, good argument towards it. Personally, I find them all to be too flamboyant to warrant sneaking around on the battlefield. They're awfully powerful and resilient creatures, hence the idea that they should all reduce incoming damage by one automatically (certain tougher characters like Phobos and Sasquatch could then have Toughness on top).

Please no, I don't want to have to buy an X-Box!!!
The first game or the sequel? And will Marvel Superheroes ever come out? (The most fun of the lot, IMO)
Marvel Superheroes came out on on the Playstation and Saturn. You might be able to find a used copy somewhere. That game is the reason I bought a Saturn (ok, and because of the near perfect port of Night Warriors and Street Fighter Collection).

Oh, yeah, I have most of the Capcom games on Saturn (and Final Burn), but an _online_ version would be a gem. :)
How about Gill from SF3? he would be strong as all get out and have regeneration to represent his ressurection.
BTW Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is on the ps2 as well.
But the best version if it (until online play on Xbox) is out on Dreamcast!
Veary true Warhulk as that was THE reason i bought a dreamcast way back when. i've played the hell out of that game. gotta love it!
I love the Dreamcast ports of all Capcom and SNK games. I got the big metal Arcade stick when it came out and it still works great! Sega sure was the best company for xprite based fighters. RIP Sega consoles, we loved you much.
Too true it's a shame they killed it off so soon. the games it had are just as good if not better than what we have today.
