View Full Version : Should Phasing give some type of Defense bonus?

Our group has tested that a Figure with phasing counts as shapeshift. In other words after the target is hit. The target rolls a D6 on a roll of 6 the attack goes through the target and causes no damage. We've seen phased people have blasts go right through them in the comics all the time.

We tried this on several occasions, and now with Shadow Cat comming out. It even makes more sense.

I just wondering what everyone else thinks.

WizKids already did you one better, on Shadowcat at least.

Kitty has Super Senses, which gives the same effect you just listed but twice the odds.

Well you'd think it would, but that wasn't how it was designed nice idea though...

But in reality it does give a defensive bonus, a +2 against capturing in fact. Better than nothing I'd have to say.

Phasing I think is fine the way it is, it's a pretty good power. :)

Phasing is already good enough as it is. I mean it adds to your DV against sentinels, you don't have to make breakaway rolls, and you can phase through walls.
