View Full Version : Opinion on this team

I'm trying to make an ultra competitive team with the figs I have so here it goes:
Annihilus (si) 127
Talia(bb) 86
Merlyn(JL) 55
Diana Prince(bb) 32
total: 300
So basically Talia outwits and shoots stealth figs, Annihilus is the primary attacker with a nice PB plus great Running shot. Merlyn is the secondary attacker and Diana heals the team.
So any Opinions?

Seems fairly decent but I don't know what figs you have so I can't make any real suggestions. I can however let you know the following:
Talia outwitting a character's stealth to PB it with Talia and Annihilus and then RCE with Merlyn is a great move!
HSS can hurt you even when sitting in stealth. Prob control shouldn't be too much of an issue since half the team is stealthed anyways.
Use Diana as MM fodder for Talia - could work for activating the AE
You don't have much for damage reducers so anybody who does HSS or even Charges in there from behind a wall or something will punish you - the defenses you do have are for range attacks and you are stealthed so it is somewhat redundant.
Lack of Move and attack powers. Annihilus does have a good running shot but another one wouldn't hurt.
Decent AVs - 10 is a great AV and it should hold you for awhile

Not bad. I'd probably substitute Merlyn out for a tie-up melee figure. It'll go a long way to keeping your ranged people out of harm's way. Ben Riley comes to mind, and it'll leave a few points left over for some more mastermind fodder for Taila.

@ Surfer- why not just bust the stealth on an opposing figure first? PB first with Talia as she ignores the stealth anyway. then from there decide whether you're outwitting some stealth (if it's still there), or something potentially more threatening elsewhere. and crazy as this sounds... why not sub merlyn out for an Amazon? kept in tight, push her off the first click... now it's an 18 def defend piece hiding behind Talia, making hers an 18 D, and matching the same for Dianna and/or Annihilus. Or there's always random League fodder if you want... Man-Bat Assassin for transporting talia? that IS a bit of extra mobility, as well as the combat reflexes on it, yes?

My team will be fighting from range, so I guess I would see the HSS and charge coming enough to outwit it, except of course if i'm going against cosmic/quintessence team characters with those team abilities. I was thinking of keeping Diana Prince in her healing form, because I noticed my figs tend to drop defense quite fast.

I'm not saying you won't get a chance to see it coming. However, most smart players who use Charge and HSS hide behind walls so you can't outwit them. I personally TK out my HSS fig, it HSS and then hides behind a wall and then pops out again next turn so that is all I was saying!

Feels disjointed to me, and lacks heavily in support and mastermind fodder.

I'm still learning plenty myself so no worries!! Also, addressing what I was saying with Talia - it does make more sense to attack with her and then outwit something later in most cases. However, if you know the dial of a figure (Holiday Killer for example who has stealth on every click) it is more advantageous to outwit the stealth so every figure on your force can attack the HK or whomever.

Not bad but Annihilus would be your only figure with mobility ? Diana would work for Annihilus defense, but I would personally go atleast one more mobility figure with charge running shot or hss.
