I received infractions for my avatar. Why?

Did the rules change for avatars? Or am I being singled out for a reason?

DemonRS gave me TWO infractions for my avatar last night.

Did the forum rules change? If so, they changed without notice. I took heat for the Sarah Palin avatar, and Typhon came on and said it was ok.

Typhon, did the rules change? If so, I'll change my avatar.

But why did I receive TWO infractions if they did change?

EDIT: OK, looks like on infraction was removed. But I didn't know if the rules changed or not, or I wouldn't have added the avatar.

I have never recieved an infraction but you could message him asking why they gave an infraction for it but some people have gotten infractions for asking why the got one so I don't know

Yes, the rules were changed and the change was posted.

You should probably change your user title as well. Not only does it make you look ignorant, but it violates teh spirit of the rule if nothing else.

I seem to recall you've been warned once before about airing out your dirty laundry in a public manner.. Let me remind you it is frowned upon..

I gave you one infraction for your avatar..
I simply replied to the infraction pm asking you to change your user title, since I forgot to make that note in the comments of the only infraction given to you.. It was not a second infraction.. You should check that stuff before trying to say that I'm being unfair publically.

The rules have been changed to make sure people don't run around airing their political views. This applies to Avatars, Titles, Signatures, etc. The only place it is allow is the Politics forum; and the only way to keep it contained in that area is through Threads and posts. Anything else is site-wide ... and will earn you infractions.
