Dude, thats strange, maybe he just wanted a cool name........
Well, he kinda thought that his new super brain would make him the "leader" of the world... course... he always kinda got beat up really well by our friend the Hulk... alot... he was kinda like the kid that always got his underwear pulled up over his head in school... except he was a Supervillian... I have the feeling all the other supervillians made fun of him and his goofy facial hair often...

The Leader is cool -- maybe he doesn't have leadership in the game because he's usually mind-controlling the people he orders about, and his other minions are usually constructs that don't require him to be persuasive or charismatic -- and I've seen the Leader drop a beat stick on the Hulk in the past -- he's far from being a lame super-villain. I wish his stats were a little higher, but I'm happy they at least made him and he's fieldable in a small force.
My only question is how does his sculpt look? I haven't seen it yet.

He is called the Leader not because of leadership abilites (though he is quite intellegent) but the fact that he takes control of minds and "leads " them to doom
The only time Leader ever hurts the Hulk is when he's using technology... unfortunately this Leader has no technology. He's still concidered a pretty lame villian, however. I'm glad he's in the set and I'm glad they made him Hulk's AE but mr. Stern never made a huge difference in the Marvel world.
Btw, this is for the person asking about the GG

Well, obviously the leader isn't going to beat up the hulk personally with his bare hands (few can)-- that's kind of a limited way of looking at things in my opinion -- but in Ground Zero the Leader definitely gets the better of the Hulk (at that point he was the grey Hulk) and he's very cool while doingt it. I suppose we can all agree to disagree, but I'm still down with The Leader and I can't wait to field him (hopefully with Abomination for some nice muscle).

because perplex > leadership !
I wish all leadership was changed into perplex, because good leadership makes the other team members do better things.
leadership:
50% chance of getting another action.
not always usefull.
perplex:
100% chance of getting it.
always usefull
-look there is a path here (+1 move) follow me.
-hit him in the chest (+1 AV)
-come on put your back into hit ! (+1 damage)
-hit him (+1 range)
leadership is sometimes like Superman shouting orders, but nobody there to hear it.:p
perplex is getting the most out of your people (sharing) or pushing yourself to be that much better.

Anybody here ever play the old Incredible Hulk video game for Sega Genesis? It was pretty cool. At the end of every level the Hulk would go up against one of his foes (Rhino, Tyrannus, Stegron, Absorbing Man), fight the Abomination in the middle of each level, & the Leader at the end.
The thing was, you'd approach the Leader & he'd just stand there. Then you could do anything - kick, punch, fart - and the Leader would be flung back into the abyss. Game Over.
Pretty accurate representation there.

LOL! Yeah, I remember that. I finally got to Leader and said to myself "Man, I'm gonna be in for quite a battle.". Boom! One uppercut and Leader is gone. Great stuff. :)
Back on topic, I also can't wait to get The Leader.
