Introduction:

People cheered all around as the ultimate fighters squared off. Two contenders left their partners in the ring, and then the battle began. "FIGHT" It was an abysmal match up. All the tiny pouches in the world couldn't save the one-eyed man as he was repeatedly set on fire and slammed into the ground.

The fight was called quickly, and the one-eyed man's partner stepped into the ring. "You seem to be on quite a streak," she muttered as she flicked her hair. The two combatants traded blows in 99 second intervals for what seemed like eternity. Neither one was gaining the upper hand until the woman slipped her gloves from her fingers and slapped her opponent with them. "Now let's see what you're really made of, sugah." Her opponent charged at her with all they had. They knew it would take a miracle to knock her out now that the gloves were off. With one swift motion, the woman clutched her opponent's throat and squeezed slightly. Her eyes lit up with flames as she held the limp body high in the air. The fight was called yet again and the final combatant entered the ring.

The regal man cast his cape aside as he took his stance. "FIGHT" Not being one to waste time, the regal man dove at the woman, engulfing himself in blue flame. She could still feel the power from her last opponent coursing through her body. The added speed, strength, and flexibility allowed her to anticipate the attack, and like she had done to his partner, she grabbed the regal man out of mid air and held him in a choke hold. He dangled there for a few seconds just staring at her glowing eyes. Then he began to chuckle as he grasped her by the wrist. Her eyes grew wider, and his chuckle gave way to full laughter. She tried to pull away, but he was holding her hand on his throat. His laughter transformed into a booming maniacal cackle. "You thought you could handle me, little girl? ME!?!" His eyes crackled with raw energy as she howled in pain. "This is what you get when you come to the big leagues! This is MY world you've entered! And in MY world, I say who stays and who goes! And I say YOU GO!" Her blood curdling screams filled the area as the onlookers scrambled for safety. The regal man hurled the young woman through several stone pillars, sending the ceiling crashing down upon her. When the dust cleared, he affixed his cape once more and strolled up to the woman arrogantly. "Hmmph." He then glared around the ring at all the stunned onlookers. "Who's next?"

I'm not a huge fan of it. Online play is almost entirely super moves which is rather boring. I do like that nobody plays as Sagat or Seth because they're so much better than everybody else. In other fighters (like say Marvel vs Capcom 2), half the online players use only top tier characters.

It's still a solid game but it just doesn't have the magic the old ones had for me. Plus I hate the new fat guy and the oily guy.

Yeah ok Mr. "100 Bullets Mod, where no one has a clue what's going on as evident on Day 6, but you still think in your mind that the game is balanced, because heck, if you're the one who wrote it has to be balanced, right, and clearly everyone playing mafia has to be on your level of thinking and share in your perceptive nature of picking things up, because god forbid people play these games just to have fun and not to think like you and catch everything you would possibly catch, and not share your opinion on what is balanced and what isn't..." You know I enjoyed that game tremendously, it just aggravates me that you think everyone needs to share your opinion of what's right and wrong as far as running these games.

All I am saying is please be tolerant of people having different perceptions as to what's fair and what isn't in a game. That said, let me listen to my own advise and STFU now... ;)

Hey I modded a game with a two man mafia with no night kill where if the town lynched every day and vig killed every night, they couldn't lose. On top of that, several characters were capable of removing themselves from the game (eliminating themselves as suspects) and I told the town that they really should never go no lynch, practically assuring the mafia would be caught. They weren't.

Now do you think that happened because the game was so unfair to the town (who lynched and vig killed 7 townies before they hit mafia) and so helpful to the mafia (who had no powers whatsoever) or do you think it was because the town got outplayed?

Just because you lost doesn't mean the game was unfair.

As for this game, I don't think safe claims are that unbalancing. They're there to keep you from confirming a bunch of people via roleclaim and catching a bunch of scummers because they don't have good claims. So basically, it just forces you to figure out if someone is town or mafia based on their actions.

Personally, I don't think a game where you have to actually pay attention to what people are saying instead of just have everyone roleclaim is automatically unbalanced. :rolleyes:

Hey I loved 100 bullets Part 2 (and BSG wasn't half bad either), but they both drove me crazy. I will say this JoH, just because someone second guesses themselves to a loss doesn't mean they were outplayed (doesn't mean they weren't outplayed either, just throwing out a different view, which I know you're so fond of... :p ).

It quite possible to defeat yourself (though I'm pretty sure I was out played in both those games above). I play to have fun, win or lose, it's just frustrating to me that my instincts are so wrong so often. I tend to trust people to a fault and over think things.

In the original (Street Fighter II) game, the bosses are Balrog, Vega, Sagat and finally M Bison, so they are good guesses for the Mafia. Blanka is a playable character and therefore probably Town.
But then again I know little beyond the original game, that's why I'm trying to think out loud. :)

Let's just disregard Blanka for a minute. He's the only game character I can think of that would act like that (one of his trademark moves is biting the opponent), but he's not a "striped feline". I'm leaning more towards someone's pet tiger at the moment.

Since I've been to half something like 3 times this game I'm just going to claim.

I'm Ken, I have a very easy power to prove that I have. If you want to know it, fine, I understand since the Mafia have safe claims.

I've been only mildly frustrated, my first lynch I was at a job that I didn't have net access and reading the phase I thought for sure I was dead. Wasn't.

Next day I was told I couldn't post or bad stuff would happen to me but that I was unlynchable. Not wanting bad stuff to happen, I chose not to post. I can only assume that I've been checked out a handful of times at this point.

The scarred man leapt at the hairy man to take advantage of his opportunity, but the hairy man had anticipated the attack and immediately charged himself with electricity. That depends how today plays out. 16 players, we are looking at probably 4 person Mafia and the SK. So that would mean 11 Town. We've lost 5 so that puts us at 6. If we don't get the SK or the Mafia today, then we won't have Majority going further and they can pick us off.
