View Full Version : best use of my Green lantern and Mjolnir? (3D OJECTS)
I know they're great objects but how whats the best way to use them?
like mjolnir takes a while for someone to pick it up, then if you fail to pick it up your enemy might pick it up.
Also same problem with green lantern, how do you keep the enemy from getting to use willpower?
Easy you just don't use them..t.his belongs in strategy...and I'd say teh green Lantern is fairly useless.

The Green Lantern doesn't allow your enemy to use Willpower BTW.
Otherwise, use them like any other object  Do you not play a heavy object, simply because your opponent may have Super Strength, so they could pick it up and use it against you? Or the Kinetic Accelerator because your opponent may get to it first? Why would these objects be any different?

Majority of the forum is on general disscussion> which is not anything specific, so therefore anything can go here. But also this site is WAY too dead. and also I can think of some ways to use these items properly, i was just wondering if anyone had come up with something I didnt see.
Mjolnir:
If you plan to use it, the way its intended:
-Have a min of 6 characters on you team, so that probabilty wise you have a 6/6 chance of picking up then hammer.
-Willpower helps the process along faster, otherwise push.
-telekineses and carrying(more common) is also very useful.
Unintended uses:
-Bait; a permanent increase in +2 damage and attack, the flight ability, energy explosion and quake is sounds very alluring, use it to lure out your opponent then smack'em hard.
-permanent hindering terrain that can not be tked or picked up (good stealth cover) and it doesnt cost anything anyway, to add this object to your force.
Green Lantern
Ooh willpower for everyone! yay:
- have the bystander token misty knight carry the lantern around, she has super strength and shes only 12 points.
- To keep your opponents from using it, for the main part its best to use with ranged attack figures.
To keep you opponent from using it, it can be best to have a squad of 3 characters. The range of the affect is 4 squares, so have a line of three characters at the tip of its range. Therefore even at close combat your opponant doesnt received the benfit of the green lantern unless the move to the other side of you line

WOW really they cant also use willpower? the card wasnt very clear about that, was it because IM the one who paid the points?
also do I have to use it in a close combat attack if that characters carrying it?
....yeah...again strategy and tactics...whether you think its "slow' here or not...
And Green Lantern is Fairly Useless....and you're idea of using it is incredibly wrong

No, it's because it doesn't grant anyone Willpower. That's why it doesn't work that way. The Green Lantern simply allows characters that already have(possess or can use) Indomitable or Willpower, to get a bonus of +3 to their Defense against Mind Control or Incapacitate.
GREEN LANTERN
Cost: 5
Light: Continual. Characters within 4 squares of this object that can use Indomitable or Willpower modify their defense values by +3 when they are the target of an attack using Incapacitate or Mind Control.
Availability: The Brave and the Bold S004
And yes, if the character carrying it is making a close combat attack, they have to use the object. With the exception of using it in a Quake attack that targets multiple characters.

The "best" way I have found to use the lanterns is to assign a guardian on your team.
Use a cheap super strength or TK-er to get the objects where they will be most useful. Since the lanterns are listed as "continual", even when carried, they are active.
Works awesome if you can swing the points.
What you want me to paint my green lantern light blue?
super crazy hypothetical- osiris lifts thor's hammer, then crits on his next attack: BOOM!
