i dont see what the S.H.I.E.L.D power dose it says "a friendly figure occupying a square adjacent to a SHIELD agent " so its the shield agents that have the power so the shield power dose nothing?

Any character with the shield team can add 1 damage per shield fig to a ranged attack from an adjacent fig.

how would i prove that to my friends becuase they are stuck on that you need a AGENT since thats what it says

Check the PAC card.It refers to the team ability,not any individual figures.

The fact that "agent" is not capitalized means it is not referring to the figure.

Aside from that, though, their idea really doesn't hold water in any way. A team ability by definition grants some sort of bonus to figures who have the icon on their base, and so to think that the listing on the PAC is not meant to help all team members, but merely to list an ability that a single figure possesses...it's really hard to swallow.
