Any other Candadians experiencing slow shipping?

Just wondering if anyone has run into slow shipping situations from the US. I had ordered a few bricks from Hillswholesale on the 28th of sept and they said they shipped it on the 29th. It's November 8th now and still no sign of anything.

I emailed them and they confirmed the ship date.

Anyone else in a similar boat?

Wow more than a month? That is rare, but could happen. Which carrier did he use?

i just picked USPS, as UPS is crazy expensive to Canada

Could be a number of issues.

1) You may want to check your local post office to see if a package is sitting there: Sometime CP "loses" the notice to go and pick-up a package so it may already be sitting at the nearest outlet.

2) Surface Vs airmail, distance issues, customs issues are all a possibility and will cause a little longer delay.

3) Mis-addressed item. Confirm that package was directed to proper location.

4) Have had the reverse recently - Sent Oct 3 via airmail to Hawaii, arrived yesterday (normal airmail is approx 2 weeks) - no explanation from PO.

Traditional First Class International (from USA to Canada) is approx 2 weeks (same as airmail Canada to USA). There is upgrades both ways- as well.

And yes AVOID UPS that loves to charge a "Brokerage Fee" to deliver a package- not to mention the taxes

I was thinking that it was probably a customs issue. I had a package (small package with just a couple of figures) take over a month to get to me one time. When it finally arrived, it had been opened by, and I presume held up by, customs.

As far as UPS goes. Yeah, avoid them like the plague. I worked for them part-time for 2 years back when I was in high school. No joke, I saw packages that sat in our warehouse for the entire time I worked there :confused: The employees nickname for the company? I shipped a map out to a realms guy like almost a month ago and he said he hasn't gotten it yet. Not sure why it would take that long, but hoping it's not lost.

Yeah, my odds are on customs issues. This is why I pressed to sort out Secret Santa because the closer to Christmas the worse it gets.

hmm, that is weird. i ordered 2 cases from the same place Oct 15th, and got them Nov 1st. I have ordered many cases from them and he has always had fast shipping. Have you tried contacting him about it?

i shipped out a box to someone, from canada, to the states, and apparently he hasnt received it yet. i sent it last month, and they guy has a deceint enough feedback to justify him telling the truth. im waiting to hear back from him to see if he got it yesterday, before i expresspost him a replacement lot of the same pieces.

as for shipping the other way, from the US to Canada, ive had NoGo ship me a Dark Phoenix in roughly the same amount of time, so i dont know whats up with that.

once everything is good to go JD, im making sure my package getting shipped out to another realms member is going through Expresspost so i know its getting there on time.

For those that have posted issues above, have they been resolved???

Just checking to see if there is still a delay in shipping to and from Canada. Still waiting on a pacakge that was mailed to me from Canada in October. Yeah that long.

Anyone still experiencing delays in trades or ebay pacakges? Anyone figured out what was going on and options for the shippers?

International trades even US to Canada and back are always at risk for time consuming delays. I've encountered fairly fast and very slow shipping to several countries including Canada. It's good to try to keep tabs and chase the packages down if need be but at least for me I've had to learn to be patient to the tune of one of one international trade taking almost 3 months (we both simulsent and almost 3 months later both of us received our packages the same week. That was insane). But to me international trades NEVER go like in country trades.
