Of course, I used Guido's dial and body. Used and AA Manhunter head pinned higher upon the body.I used Speedy's bow for the antennae, drilled in to the head and glued in. Used MMD Green Putty to fill in the neck and cover the torso so Guido's belt wouldn't show.

My very first mod consisting of painting and putty. Next I plan to use the Green Stuff molding epoxy.

If anybody can think of a better dial to put him on, let me know.

I've got no photo editing software either, sorry about the giant Tick.

Nice idea dude! Most of the mods of the Tick Ive seen are based off of CM Venom.

Did you intend to make him look glossy?

I've never attempted a clix paint before and was experimenting with some paints. So, no I didn't, it was the type of paint I used.

Ah I thought so. I just wondered really, I didn't mean that as an insult at you or anything.

No, sweat...

Arther: No offense intended.
Tick: None comprehended.

That is pretty sweet. Never really paid attention to the character, but I can appreciate a good mod when I see one.

I never really followed his exploits until I watched the live action show. Good stuff and cheap on DVD.

I went with an easy one, Wade. Not too hard to mess up:cool:.

Thanks for the comments gentlemen.

I AM MIGHTY!!!

I might recommend trying to mod the new Venom Since he's in a very "Tick" Pose

Great idea.
I may attempt that when I get some mediocre skill in line. I'll test some paints and try to order some Green Stuff.

I have only 1 major problem with this. You have it, and I don't.

This was my last one. I forgot how many I had and traded some off while making this. Now, I don't have a stong guy in the house, save myself.

SPOOOOON!!!!!!!

Awesome work on the tick! Did you sculpt the antenna yourself?

I did not. I used the lower portion of a CD Speedy bow, cut in half. Since I don't have the skill to segment his antennae myself I just melted the end in an attempt to approximate the look. They look much better in person.

Thank you the reply.

They look great!
Way better than I could do if I tried to sculpt it or something.
Very cool to see where they came from! Thanks for sharing!

What about grabbing the antenna from "Bug" from HoT?

I thought about that, but I couldn't bring myself to choop up one of the Guardians.:classic:

I was actually more leaning toward Ambush Bug.

I may attempt an Arthur. Any thought on the clix that would help and dial?

Nice. I've been thinking of making a Tick and Arthur custom on a dual dial.

How about the new Ulik dial? Tick always gets hit, it's just doen't hurt him.

Good suggestion. Ulik's still vulnerable to PB and exploit weakness. I'd like more dial behind him.

Thanks, man. I'm hoping it will happen sometime soon. At least a box set with 6 or so.

I've wanted them to produce two boxed sets since the game started:
1) the Tick
2) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

any time I see someone else who puts in the hard work of making a Tick from scratch I'm always gladdened. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, 'Silk. I totally agree with the 2 box sets and would field the TMNT all the time.

You bet those will always be on the back of my mind. I'll be looking for good sculpts for all involved. Of course, the Sewer Urchin would be somewhat difficult.

As I am just starting to get all the parts together for my own Tick mod, mind if I ask some advise on anything you think might help? Like little mistakes or things that once you done realised didn't work so well?

I was thinking of the latest Fantastic Four starter Thing dial or M&M Colosus.

As this was my first serious mod and really only serious one since, I probably wouldn't have anything of revelation to say. I didn't have green stuff, I was using that sculpting epoxy. Don't use it if you aren't experienced, it worked for me, but took twice as long.

Use acrylic paint. This was my first painting foray ever, so I didn't have any knowledge of paints. I would suggest doing some homework on paints if you are not familiar with them. Like, I didn't know it was going to come out shiny. Although, the gloss finish should have been a dead give away.

Sculpting tools. I didn't have any. I used my wife manicure kit, which worked fine for me, less so for her. Paperclips for pegging pieces as well. I used some holiday ornament hangers, which worked spectacularly.
