Booster Draft Build Totals

I recently played in an Infinity Challenge two booster draft tourney, where we were told to play ALL of the figures in the 2 boxes with no agreed upon point total. Meaning, that there were some matches with some players playing with 300 point teams against players with 600 point teams. I seemed to be the only player with a problem with this whole situation. Is there any ruling on making a pre-set build total in games?

i only play in casual games ( no tourneys ) so i have no idea but i assume that there would be

I don't really see a problem with it as long as both players are "blind" (i.e. they don't know whats in the box until they open it and play)...heck, I played a booster game tonight I got creamed (my opponent got a rookie Magneto, 2x Ex hydra medics and a Vet Mr. Hyde: I got a Vet thug, a Vet Wolfsbane, a rookie pyro and a rookie blade)...its more luck than skill, but I've seen some real upset playing games like this
