Yeah, found out the hard way, as did several others on evil bay, that this guy from Nashville, TN is a bum. Sold me a KC Hawkman, and made other transactions on eBay that he had no intention of fulfilling.

Evidently his MO was to drag out the transaction until the 45 day deadline for feedback or protest was up, then just disappear. :"Mom in hospital", "had to repair figure", "too busy to get to post office", "ID theft on his paypal", you name it. Now just disappeared. the last posted feedbacks on E-bay show the same problem, I just was too gullible and didn't post mine in time.

Anyone in Nashville, TN know this guy? He goes to Rick's Comic City.

A cool side note- even though I was too late officially, I got a response from both PayPal and Ebay acknowledging this dirtbag and got my money back :)

He has the eBay name of humblerthanyou1 and his feedback was 100% positive (38 ratings iirc) but had like 3 neutral ratings. He had several transactions right at the end that must've been like mine, since no feedback was posted on those except for one guy who posted that he's never recieved his purchase, nor gotten his money back.
For all I know, he could still sell on there. just a word to the wise.

I hate to hear he hails from my state. On occasion people from Rick's come down to GA so I'll keep a lookout. I'm in the 'boro though so I'm quite a ways away from Rick's and I've never been there. Have you tried calling them up? If the employees there are anything like the ones at GA they should be able to help you with him somehow.

I'm glad you got your money back. I always warn people that barring any excuse I will leave neutral/negative feedback after 30 days. They can always appeal to you to change it. At least that was the policy, I've done it twice in the past. Recently I have had quite a few bad E-dealings. One lot arrived missing 2 figures, store in the U.K. shipped in padded envelope, another SWM book arrived without maps after I expressingly asked if they were included, bought 2 boosters that were preopened(cards weren't sealed),received a White Lantern,Grodd should have been Gleek/Grodd. I chose not to leave feedback in all these cases. I'm waiting on different replacement figs for the lot, Gleek is being sent and I get 2 keep WL, the booster guy swears the boosters weren't opened,the U.K. fig luckily wasn't damaged, and the bookstore refunded some of my cash. I will leave the Gleek and lot replacement positive when the replacements arrive. The other 3 just won't receive feedback.

Often the rating does not make any difference. I am in the final stages of an appeal against a seller with over 6,800 rating with 98.2% positive, and he scammed 4-5 buyers for high-end WL's at the end of December / early January. He may have ran into some financial problems, but it's still no excuse to rip people off.

His rating was fine- about 30 transactions with a nearly 100 rating. The problem was that he defaulted on a bunch of deals at the end. Between neutral and negative at the end he was still over 90 percent, since he convinced me- and others- to give him more than 45 days. Never again!
When I checked his ebay name last month he was a banned dealer. So there is that anyway :)
