Can a character using running shot make his move, stop next to a shield agent and then receive the shield damage bonus for his attack? We are having heated debate over this question and need an answer before firearms become involved.

No,you cant stop midway through an attack to do something else.First you must resolve the attack for RS so the shield power would have to be declared first.

Thanks for the quick answer. I agree with you completely, but my friend says that there isn't anything in the rulebook to back this up. Is there anywhere that specifically says that you can't interrupt one action with another?

It'S possible - you always declare the SHEILD bonus before the attack action. If you use running shot and you are adjacent to the SHIELD after the move part then you can use and declare the SHIELD bonus at that point.

dasDarke is correct. The SHIELD team ability is already an anomaly within timing rules, after all.

So long as the figure taking the Running Shot ends his movement adjacent to the SHIELD agent and you declare the agent's use at that point, you are fine.

So, just to be clear:

You can use Shield Ability to increase a Running Shot if the Shield member is adjacent to the Running Shot user at the begenning or the end of the declared shot?

Thanks!

You can use Shield Ability to increase a Running Shot if the Shield member is adjacent to the Running Shot user at the end of the movement part of the declared Running Shot.
