X-Force Deadpool, 2.0 Martian Manhunter, GoG:Mantis, and some spiders.....

So it's been a while.......I need to get some new brushes. My detail work is not working very well as a result...........hence no close ups of the spiders. ;)

X-Force: Deadpool

I needed this guy for an event where I am playing Nu-X-Force. So I did a quick re-paint of the MM version. I think he turned out well. He'll look better when Betsy(probably a Moonstone custom) and Fantomex(just another MM re-paint) are finished but he's the only one that is going to be ready in time. Also I want to see more of Psylocke before I give it a shot.

Oh, he's on a Bishop base because that's what I needed for the team;
- a x-Man theme team(your fault Betsy!)
- regen and range attacks
And LE Wade Wilson wasn't enough points. :ermm: It's a temporary fix sadly.

Martian Manhunter 2.0

This is the second (well third if you count the robot version I suppose) time I'm tried to make the Origin Martian Manhunter something that will not make your eyes bleed. Suprisingly just switching out his legs helps alot. The last time I did it in his full body costume and this time I did it to look more like what he is currently wearing. This one is for RevoluSean and that's what he wanted. The only thing I didn't add was his boot folds as I haven't found a pair of boots I like in his scale.

Hopefully he likes it. But hey, it's RevoluSean, who really cares what he thinks! :p:p

I actually did her and Phyla a while back but was waiting to have more to share. I left off the long sections of her skirt/dress as I wasn't sure I could do it justice but I like it as is anyway. I might go back to add them at some point but she was well recieved by the locals so she might stay the way she is. Oh this was also my first try at using Mary Marvel(CR) as a body base and I liked it. Her arms are a bit more beefy then I'd prefer but not by too much.

So these guys came about as I was working throught the figures that can use Web-Tokens when I came to Scarlet Spider and it looked like I would be making a scientist team (I think my first one too) I decided that I would try making some alternate versions of Spiderman to spice up the team a bit. Ockto-Spider was originally going to be directly copied from the 90's cartoon but when I looked at the Ult Doc Ock sculpt I noticed that it would actually lend itself to a more Spiderman unlimited style....so I mashed them up and got this. I liked him quite a bit.

Armored Spidey I had done ages ago(well before we had pole dancing spidey in Sin) and just dusted him off. Mini spider was to fill out the points and it seems like something that would happen.

And to double up on my chance to use Scarlet Spiders' Web token SP I decided to take my first stab at 'Big Time' Spiderman. Ouch. :( He really suffered as a result of the paint brush situation. Thankfully the team played OK. Next time I'll do much better with him.

Thanks guys! Yeah Wade turned out really nicely. Sometimes it's the simple things that look best I find. He was a hit with the locals last night.

That's all Mary Marvel for the figure. The only two changes are I added in some wire for her antenna (which Ive done a few times now for other things and is actually quite simple) and put her on the rock from Moonknight(AV) so I didn't have to pin her to turn her.

I have her on a Bug dial for now.......I seem to have my GoG teams with 44/49-ish points to spare for her so it seems to work well for me at least.

I hate Deadpool as a character, but I do like what you've done with that colour scheme. Nice work :)

Thanks but I just really copied his Uncanny X-Force costume........I suprised myself though, I acutally used 6 colors on him.

Really want a Mantis in the GotG costume, as her original costume is awful and Heroclix didn't do any favors for her sculpt. Yours looks pretty cool! Though I'd personally have to stick with one of the Mantis dials (probably Celestial Madonna).

If you're looking to start, she really is an easy one to try......not that I do anything that is perticularly difficult for the most part (shakes fist at Black Tarantula and BL-Hawk!!).

Like I posted earlier in the thread she is mostly just Black-Mary Marvel with two pieces of wire stuck in her head. One color eyes makes her even less challenging.

Edit: Doh, sorry Wakandaman. I missed the one other thing I did to her. I chopped off her hands/forarms and added on the gloves from FC Cyclops(M&M). It didn't really change it much and I must have just forgot. :o

When Algrim and/or Goldeeh do a version of her you will see how simple this one is. They are good/great/awesome at this I just kinda make stuff that is decent for the most part. ;)
