I'm finished.... complaining. LOL, Happy trading everyone.

I would just take a break bro! I bet you are letting a couple incidents overshadow the majority. Give it some time and maybe be more selective on who you trade with. It was all good when I dealt with you, so I can say for sure I like the realms more with you an active trader!

Try only dealing with people who have extensive and spotless records.

I've never had a single complaint against me, not because I don't make mistakes, but because I stand by what I send. You've got a problem with the way the deal went down? I'll fix it, free of charge.

There ARE guys who sell and trade here that genuinely take pride in their reputations, look for them.

I know that I am a new trader with a low itrader rating, but I take pride in knowing that I am a stand up, honest person, that will try to ship out the next day. I have had two incidents with other traders, but they made food on it.

I think you may just want to take a break.

I think the worst that I run into are people who don't use delivery confirmation. I am not sure why people wouldn't use it.

But still, every deal on here has had a problem lately and because of that I've decided to stop trading and buying on here.
Ah, the comings and goings of life, with one saying hello as another waves goodbye.

Sorry for your trouble, man. But for what it's worth, in recent weeks I've made my first few deals here on the Realms. While I am a regular at a venue where trading is a VERY popular activity, I now have some figures (such as Red Hulk, Cosmic Spidey, Red She-Hulk, Groot) I probably wouldn't have been able to get at the venue, if only because the folks who have them don't want to part with them.

In each case (3 different traders), the exchange was flawless and enjoyable.

I'll be back for more...

Hmmm. Luckily for me, not everyone on the Realms feels this way, otherwise I'd still have a "0" (albeit spotless) iTrader rating --- and still be looking to get a Red Hulk, Cosmic Spidey, Red She-Hulk and Groot!

They made the food on the incidents or on the other traders? I don't think that I would eat food made on a Realmser, I've seen some of these guys.

No need to take it personally.

I'm not telling people to only use established solid traders, I'm telling a guy who is so sick he wants to stop trading that he should use established solid traders.

He's gun-shy and needs to get his trading confidence back. No offense, but randomly trading with guys who have a low rating is probably not a surefire way to do that, which is kind of his problem.

I'll trade with anyone (although until someone cuts their teeth they get to send first).

I got fed up with it as well.
I went to only buying.
Although, I have traded some.
Only for lower valued items.
Prolly would trade again.
Would only trade with established Realmsers for high dollar stuff.
I gotta feel out the trade.

Total bummer, dude. Seeing also the note in your signature, stevebo0124, re: your father, please accept my sincere condolences from a total stranger.

I've had ZERO luck trading here (mostly because I'm trading proverbial wooden nickels for platinum, but that's my problem) to-date, but over on IFW.net, I've only ever been burned once. As phatalein noted above, Delivery Confirmation is probably the best "insurance" you can get when trading via online sites.

Give yourself some time; you've had a rough row of things lately.

Just depends on the trade. DC does nothing to protect you, the receiver. All it does is protect me, the sender. I can "prove" I sent it, but it doesn't do you any good other than give you a warm fuzzy. So if it's not a big trade or something I can easily replace, I'll sometimes save the 80 cents. This is especially true if the deal is with someone I a)know, b)have dealt with before, or c)has a very high iTrader.

In more than one case as of late, I find the communication level has deterioriated a bit. For the most part things are great, but I have several folks who I've agreed to buy from or trade with and things are "done deal." So...why haven't they told me if things have been sent? I think a week or two window is fair. :ermm:

I'm still relatively knew to it, but I have really only had trouble with people leaving feedback on itrader. Some users either forget or just plain refuse to leave feedback on good trades. It doesn't really make sense to me and is kind of annoying after already leaving them positive feedback but what can you do

In all my trades/sales/purchases I've not been ripped off and only had a package go missing once. These forums have been pretty good to me. Sure, I get the occasional person who doesn't leave feedback or someone who agrees to buy something and then backs out, but those are small annoyances compared to the overall value that HCR has provided for me when it comes to moving minis. :)

Now, with that being said. I'd love to hear if anyone else has had the same bad luck lately.

I think you already know my bad luck story!!! :noid:

But seriously, keep your head up bro. The vast majority of traders/sellers/buyers on here are good people. Now granted, sometimes crappy things do foul-up a trade, but odds are that things will work out in the end.

My last trade isn't ending very well either. I traded with a guy that I've traded with multiple times now and someone that I've seen around the HC community since the old WK forums days. I sent him his figure right away and then I got a message from him saying he couldn't find the figure he was sending me. He aid he'd look for it and get back to me. Now, almost a month later, I still haven't heard back from him and he's not answering my messages. I'm about ready to report him if he doesn't come through soon. But I'm not going to let it ruin further dealing on the Realms for me. Life is filled with speed bumps. You just gotta keep trucking on my friend. ;)

No offense taken; it's just the way things are. I simply figured I'd pipe up on behalf of the newbies whose only red flag is a lack of experience.

Certainly, I will NEVER forget the guys who gave me the early opportunities to break the ice (FrankCastle80, SkrullThemeTeamer and NoGoCat). THANKS again, guys! And for what it's worth, I made certain to convey to them my gratitude and appreciation for their trust.

So, in that respect, maybe trading with a newcomer -- to trading, not necessarily to the Realms -- who is thrilled to get the chance to swap and makes that known might be just what the doctor ordered for a bad case of the Losing Faith in Humanity Blues. Just a thought.;)

BTW, I happen to agree -- wholeheartedly -- that folks with a lower rating should send first.

Seems like a few trades I do everyother trade will send an iTrade rating back to me. Ill pm everyone else to remind them to leave it but they'll either say they did already or never reply back. Trying to get my rating higher and become more of a frequent user on the realms and trades it is a bit annoying. >=0(

My condolences man. Take some time, get outside, enjoy the people and planet. The Realms will be here when you need 'em.

I agree with this. About half of the people I have traded with lately, lately being last 3 months, have done this and it is very annoying. I also don't like lately how I will make offers to people and they never get back to me. I don't mind if they say no, its the not answering that drives my crazy.

Man I've been wanting to start a thread about this. It seems like lately, people don't respond. I understand if you aren't interested but at least be courteous and let the person know. I even offer them what they are looking for and I STILL don't get a response. I've already added the people who don't feel the need to respond to pm's to my DO NOT TRADE WITH list. Ahhhhhhhhhh I feel much better

I've been meaning to tell you, that Creepy Freaks Jarhead you sold me in Ought Four arrived a little dusty and there was a hair in the box. I fear negative feedback may be upcoming.
