View Full Version : Will we ever see Trinity figures?

With the sculpts becoming more detailed and scenes being depicted (WoS BiBtB), do you think we will see a 3-figure-per-base figure (i.e Trinity of WW, Bats, and Supes or Cap, Thor, and Iron Man)?

Nachos get my vote every time.
I don't like the idea of a trio-figure though. I think Duos are already a little too unwieldy as it is.

I voted nachos, but only because there was no "I hope not, even though I like duos" option.

They could do it.
I suggested making the Warriors Three as a double-based duo. I do not think that the duo mechanic has to be strictly limited to two characters.
I would like, for example, to see the Fantastic Four as a 2X2 duo with the PCTA.
No reason that they couldn't add Wonder Woman to the World's Finest. They do not have to make a "Trinity" mechanic to do so, though.
Edit: And by the way, I would expect it to be called a "trio" figure (though I stand by what I said above). We already have "trinity" figures (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman).
I voted - Hope not. Duos are bad enough!
But I do want some Nachos.
Three different figures that add up to 300 points and have traits that interact please.
Seriously, if we get a trio figure, what will be next? The Fantastic Four; the All-New, All-Different X-Men; JLA? Heck, maybe when can fit all of the Legion of Superheros on one base.

I bet they will do it. It wont be good, but I bet we will see it anyway.

The sculpt will probably be great like the Worlds Finest, but I highly doubt it will be playable. If Batman and Superman were 500 points, then adding Wonder Woman would make it 750 points at least. I imagine it would be the same for Thor, Cap and Iron man. They will look really cool on a shelf, but probably wouldn't see much play time. Could they make it? Sure. Should they make it? Why not?
Vote: Who cares, I'd rather have Natchios.

Meh, she's a little too wild and roguish for my tastes.
Please, no. This falls into the category of taking a bad idea and making it worse.
Bring us individual pieces with special dynamics when used together. If they are supposed to operate independently of each other, they should be on separate bases.
I dont want no triple figure, but (double negative ftw)
I hope we see a Trinity Figure.....

Trio figures would reduce the game to a bland shootout between 2 figures. I saw this WAY too much when the Anti-Monitor was first released and everyone was fielding him.
You should NEVER have included nachos into a poll option. IT ALWAYS THROWS OFF THE BALANCE AND SKEWS THE RESULTS!!!!

I prefer characters to have autonomy in a game. If they do it I'd prefer it to be done with figures we already have individually. If we ever get the Sons Of The Tiger, I'd rather we got each one individually.
I put "Duos are bad enough" because I'm tired of getting some of my favorite characters shackled to other characters. I now have to play with both Pied Piper AND Trickster if I want to play with JUST Pied Piper for example.

WOW!! When I posted I just wanted to see what the Clix community thought of a trio figure. I obviously under-estimated the power of nachos!!

A trio would be sweet as long as they don't abuse it. 1 per set or less would be great, and it would have to be a super practical grouping. I just worry that if they did do a trio whats to stop them from have 4,5, or more per dial, where would it end. If fact the more I think bout it the more I want to change my answer to no.

Wait wait wait. Youd rather play Piper than Trickster?
James Jesse is a way better rogue, just saying.
Also, I voted nachos.

The last time I ordered nachos, there was a long black hair in the dip.
If the points are right, any clix can be good.
Just make sure IT IS NOT a peanut base
and IT IS a flyer (so it can carry somebody).

Absolutely, I'd like to give a blanket party to the guy at DC who decided to kill him off leaving us with that weak sister replacement character.

It's already happened, we have the Wonder Twins with Gleep.
However, I hope Neca doesn't waste their time building a Trinity figure for characters that play much better on solitary dials.
Anyway, I'm gonna go make myself some Nachos.

Boring game placing a Trinity figure in the middle of the map. Maybe make 1 or two moves the entire game. Not for me!
I'd rather have three separate figures to maneuver around the map!!!

I'd like to see a trinity, or even a complete 4-member team. This would cover an obscure team in a single slot and free up the other 2-3 for more worthy characters.

I's say it's possible, though I was lost at nachoes... ;)
Seeing that World's Finest uses a base that 2 squares squared, just like the Alien Queen from the HrC action pack, squeezing on WW onto a sculpt like WF should be a piece of cake. IMHO, there's a lot of unused space on that base anyway.
However, I do also see that it would lead to another addition/ errata to the rules for a tri-attack.

I only like a few duos, that represent characters who fight very closely together, as opposed to characters that team up. Yes to the likes of Cloak and Dagger, Gertrude and Old Lace, but no to Worlds finest, and most of the brave and the bold.
Following that I oppose a trinity figure.

How about combining 3 colossals so half the map is taken up. Costs about 5000 points. Speed and range??? doesn't freaking matter. Damage? If he hits your character, and he will hit your character, your character dies. Cool powers...doesn't matter because your dead. In fact the only real power you need to know is: Total Victory- just place your trio on the map and you win.
Also, I thought we could have team dials. Say the 4000 point JLA or Avengers dials. Or even the 14,000 DC and Marvel bases. And if the DC team Dial faces the Marvel Dial then the rule is the both sides begin to argue whose is more original, better story lines, better characters/powers and so on. The loser is declared when the word "stupid" is used to describe the others dial/team.
Please, no. This falls into the category of taking a bad idea and making it worse.

This post makes it sound like the question is "will it be made," and the poll itself sounds like the questions is "do you want it to be made?" I'm not sure which I'm supposed to be answering.
That said, I think Wizkids probably will do it at some point, and I suppose that I'm not any more opposed to the idea any more than I am to duo figures. By that I mean that I'd prefer to have individual figures, but if that's the only way we're going to get certain figures (wonder twins) then I'll take it.
That being said, if I ever win Worlds and get to design a figure, I might have to do a trio figure, as it might be the only way we'll ever get the Enforcers.

NACHOES!!!!1111shift1
They would end up being too powerful, so either high points and on a 4 by 4 base with low chances to actually play it, or one of those cheese pieces :-/

At this point, with the speculation on the "complete teams" in the GSX superboosters, it's no longer a question of will they be made but when.
