Yep, yet another azs impersonator; there will be alot of us in the next few weeks.

Rookie Taskmaster, the most straightforward to use of the three. Cheap, high attack, Stealth, Blades Claws Fangs, moderate range. Sounds alot like a favorite figure from IC, U. Electra. Electra is alittle cheaper, faster, has more Stealth and Blades Claws and Fangs, a more stable attack curve, a second target and longer life. Taskmaster, however, brings longer range, the Minions of Doom team ability, four clicks of energy shield deflection, two clicks of Incapicate and a click of Flurry.
The longer range, the Minions of Doom ability, and Incapicitate(love it or hate it it can be helpful) speak for themselves, but the flurry is a bit weak. Fortunately defense values had fallen to the point where a 7 attack isn't terrible anymore, and the the large amount of perplex can easily help make the most of this click.
Personally I think it would be worth the 3 extra points to use Taskmaster just for the extra range, and strategies the Minions of Doom ability can bring to a team; the Incapicate, and possibly useful Flurry click just cement the deal.

Experienced Taskmaster represents when he trained other
villians lackeys. This version is the hardest of the three to hurt, with a careful team build, and proper placement he will almost never have to take any damage from attacks.
He pickes up a little life, another click of Incapicate, Leadership and Enhancement, trades in some Energy Shield Deflection for Mastermind. He keeps the high starting click, and the quick drop in attack as well.
Use this Taskmaster basically the same as the Rookie, but pair him with a cheap taxi with toughness, *COUGHdoombotCOUGH* and Taskmaster might never take a click of damage.
Statistically you'll get an extra action every other turn, while you might not always be able to use that extra action it might be the action that seals the game in your favor. A click of damage later he picks up Enhancement. A good multishot teammate, like Boomerang, or big hitter, like Mandarin, or Magneto, instantly becomes alot more threatening.

The Veteran Taskmaster is the hardest of the three to use. He doesn't have the Experienced version's Mastermind to avoid damage, and every other click his attack ability changes from a close combat ability to a ranged or close combat ability to a ranged ability back to a close combat ability.
Where the Experienced had Mastermind, the Veteran has Energy shield deflection. Where the Experienced had Energy Shield Deflection the Veteran has Willpower. He loses a click of Incapicate to get a click of Energy Explosion. Gone are Leadership and Enhancement, Leadership is replaced by Perplex and he pickes up two clicks of Outwit before death.
The version has the helpful combination of Stealth and Perplex, but if you want that might as well save about 40 points and use Mystique. After taking afew clicks he still has a decent(as high as 10, as low as 8) can start shooting multiple people with Incapicate or Energy Explosion without fear of taking push damage.

A very interesting REV. While overall the Experienced version will probably be the most popular one each has a use, and with the right team build each will be very useful.

Personally I love Veteran Taskmaster, Willpower and Incapicate with 2 shots, That’s 2 people you can Incap 2 turns in a row to lock down some bad dudes, get 2 V Taskmasters they can Incap anyone to death. I could really see myself pushing TM to these Clixs. Oh and the MOD team ability really makes him a team player.

I agree. Vet's Willpower, 2 shot Inc. is wonderful. He's got a great attack aswell, so you'll probably hit your targets. After that, what's this? 2 shot EE with Willpower?! Wow, team him up with a shield agent or Psylocke and look out. Did I mention that he has outwit on that click aswell? Yikes. He's a beefy son of a gun.

I like all three of his levels, they're all diverse in their aplications. I plan on using the E Taskmaster on a ninja team of doom. Leadership for all his little trained ninja lackies = fun times. :D
