Don't feel so bad dude. Just do what I do , I don't go on ebay untill the release the next set, than the previous set is alot cheaper. For instance I paid 25 bucks for the vision, now i see him go for about fifteen. I feel that's what's going to happen to IC when X-plosion is released to the general public.

There seems to be a great lack of people willing to trade Nightcrawler. Why would they? If they have one that they feel they don't need, they can sell it for a lot of money. Hell, even if the trade it, you will have to trade $50 worth of figures to get it.

And for it being a win, win situation, as it is, I have a case of IC coming to me in a week or so. That means I will finish out IC and have a TON of dupes from that. Then throw on $50 worth of CT boosters on top of it? No matter how you cut it, it makes no sense to buy boosters when you only need a handful of figs.

Are we talkin 50 bucks US for a nightcrawler? I've been trackin' every Crawler auction for the last 2 months and I haven't seen him go for more than 36.00 US.

If anyone reading this has a nightcrawler and is looking for Uniques Elextra, Cyclops, Prof X and Darkseid, I'll trade all of em and any number of R/E/V doubles i have from CT or IC (I've got about 80 so let me know what you need)

Something I didn't put before, I had a Nightcrawler lined up on ebay the other night for $36 and someone slipped in, literaly, at the last moment and got it for $36.50.

hey dude heres a quickie thing I learned about ebay and hero clix. Finds bids around four o clock in the morning durering the week and snipe on em. They're a whole lot cheaper allthough you may have to wait for a while before the piece that you want appears. Hope this helps, BJ.

That is $50 US and is a slight exaration. The final bid was $46.50, then there is $3 shipping. That makes it $49.50. Basicly, $50.

Part of the reason I went so high on this one was because this was like my 10th attempt to get one. I kept losing, including one the other night where somone bid $.50 more in literaly the last minute to take it away from me. I knew I would be at work when it ended today, so I Just topped it out at $48 and let it go.

In many ways, it is worth the extra $10 to just have it over and done with.

Plus it is kind of karmic, since I have gotten so many other clixs at VERY cheap prices.

You haven't been looking that hard. In the last month alone, four have gone for more than $50 US, and 38 of them have sold for more than $36 US.

Heck, one sold for $51.00 only two days ago.

The average selling price is about $42.50.

Wow, I guess I lucked out. A friend of mine got him and he knew I wanted him since he's my favorite superhero (i wanted him even before I knew how good he was). My friend graciously gave him to me for Christmas. Until that point, the only unquie I had was super skrull. I pulled an Xavier 5 min later in a pack a different friend got me for chirstmas. All in all a good deal.

actually one thing that hypertime taught me is don't buy singles unless your set is practically done. I liked poored out good money for bad when i kept getting the same veterans I payed ten dollars for on ebay. For now on am just buying uniques and maybe an le if it's a real good deal.

dear goodnes...spending over $20.00 for a fig...much less $50.00? I will never do it. thankfully the group that comes into my store are pretty laid back about the whole trading thing and it's never been a problem for me to trade for what I need, especially when these people have doubles...including uniques.

for the most part, I cough up a unique in the future that I don't want for those few figs I do want...for instance...gave up unique flash for the unique Nick Fury. compairing abilities of these two fig I lost big time...but I think I won as I got what I wanted and so did my customer. :)

I have three friends who have both spent over £200 on boosters. ONE of them recently managed to get Nightcrawler. The same friend had the same difficulty finding Prof X (U). On the other hand, I got Prof X (U) in a random starter set. And a guy who took part in a sealed booster tourney found a Nightcrawler! If, as it seems, your luck is as bad as my friend's is with boosters, I don't blame you at all for shelling out 50 bucks. Some people are lucky and some aren't. But I certainly don't think you're stupid. You got what you wanted after all.

I almost went that route, paying out the a s s for a 'crawler, but then my buddy pulled 2 in 2 weeks and I happened to have an extra Thanos and Quasar, so we traded, monetarily, according to price guides and such, I got shafted, but in reality, we both got what we wanted, and yes he is an awesome piece to field, he just seems to p i s s people off or scare them when they see him on the board.

Well, in this area I have only seen 3 Nightcrawlers, mine will make 4. Two of them were bought on Ebay and only 1 was actually pulled.

I almost got the one that was pulled for Yule, but the friend who pulled him is trying for a complete set. He was torn, he knows how much of an X-Man fan I am, but he reallly wants a complete set. I ended up forbiding him from giving him to me. :)

don't worry about it Dex. i would have done the same if i didn't pull one out of a booster myself.

Remember when magic TG was really HOT ! i mean during the The Dark to Revised edition time. People were paying like $50 for a card, a piece of paper ! Black Lotus sells for $350 + !! still to this day ! i think i'll pick plastic over paper.

$50 is definitly the high retail value for nightcrawler. $40 is about median and $32 is Low.

You didn't overpay and buying $50 worth of boosters would have gotten you more figures you didn't need.

I don't know for sure, but I think it is a no on all three. I know Mike has #####ed at me more then once that I am the only one who has a Nick Fury. As far as I know, no one outside of Mike and me have a Moondragon (and I pulled both of those), and I have been looking for a V Mr. Fantastic for awhile now. I just got a hell of a deal on a lot of stuff that included one to get most of the Non-Uniqeus for Clobbrin Time. Now if I can just find a (R)Sandman and a (E) Doctor Octopus.

It all started one day when I took my girlfriend shopping. CT had only been out for a couple of weeks and I had just spent 130 dollars on boosters. I did pretty well on the boosters but got no nightcrawler. Meanwhile, my most hated adversary had just gotten a NC by ripping off a little kid.

The daze and tedium of shopping for clothes with a girlfriend was beggining to get hold of me. So in a moment of desperation, I lied to her about going back to the car to look for my wallet. Insetad, I ran to the comic shop across the parking lot of the mall and there it was. For 25 dollars, the holy grial of CT...Nightcrawler! The price was a little steep and I decided to find a way to get him cheaper. I looked through the store's singles and picked about 10 dollars worth of stuff I didn't have plus NC. I went to the counter, and bargained the total of 35 dolars down to 25. In the end, I payed the 25 dollars but I also got about three DC vets. I kept and enjoyed my NC until that fateful day.

I attended our weekly gaming night as usual, unaware of the impending doom. One of the guys had invited some friends who happened to be big on HC. I spoke to them for a while and we began looking at each other's trades. That sneak, with his watering little mouth and evil eyes had set his heart on my NC. No, he didn't steal it, it is worse, I gave him up.

Yes, I'm guilty, I foolishly traded my NC for Mojo, Mojo! and promo spidey. I didn't know at the time that NC was so rare and that those two are so common. That night, when I got home, I felt a void, the void that NC leaves. I logged onto ebay to check prices and to my dismay I found how cheap Mojo and Spidey were in comparison. The world crumbled.

I struggled to find a solution, but I was running out of options. I went through the same dilema of buying him directly or the 7 boosters instead. I went with the boosters, more than once. I just couldn't bring my self to spending 50 for one fig, specially when I don't have a full set. Time went by and no nightcrawler. Nick Fury, Titania, Red Skull, Superskrull and many others came to me but no NC. Then, hope.

My birthday came and I got cash gifts. I knew where the money was going! I thought long and hard about how to spend my money and almost gave in to buying the single 50 dollar NC, but I couldn't. The hope was dim, CT is infamous for its stinginess with uniques. Nevertheless, I prevailed. I went to the local shop and purchased 7 CT boosters. I began pulling and pack after pack I got nothing but junk, as it's usual with CT. Then, on the bottom of the last pack, when all hope was lost, there it was, it came to me, my own, my precious!!!!! NC

The tide of my greed satisfied, I went home and contemplated NC days on end.

And so the tale of the lost NC ends, on a happy note, or not?

Where are you my precious, oh where so I can hold you?!

BTW: I was almost ready to pay the 50 for a nightcrawler when I lucked out and pulled him out of a booster :) I about had a heart attack when I saw him.

Funny thing is, there was a guy in there crying about never getting his nightcrawler, and he just barely talked himself out of buying that last pack that I picked up after he left. I had a hearty laugh at that. When he found out, he cried like a school girl whilst I had yet another hearty laugh :)
