How many elektras does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel Wizkids got trigger happy when playing with the "create a new elektra gun". Are four elektras, including 2 uniques really enough?

I'm a fan of the first Elektra U from IC, and the one from cloberring time was modeled into a very nice gamora. Besides that, I'm not a fan.

Could the new DD movie and a certain Jennifer Garner have anything to do with it?

I read yesterday that an Elektra spin-off movie has already gotten the green light.

But I'd expect more still on the horizen.. ..same with Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man, and the big Double D.(DareDevil.):D

Eh.. ..the way I figure it, it's just something we need to accept, enjoy the times it doesn't happen, and just mull through the times it does.

I personally don't like the repeats for a single reason:

I'd like to see every character made. Even the for the most part, unknowns. (Yes, even the Ani-Men.) And the repeats only slow that process down. *shrug* ah well. :)

All the Elektras are making me nauseous. Heck there is a new X-Men movie coming out shortly. I hope that Wizkids makes a unique Magneto, seeing as to how he is popular and has yet to have a unique fig. Wolverine, Jen Grey, Xavier, Cyclops, and even Wolfsbane have a unique fig. Surely Magneto deserves a unique fig. I realize that he doesn't have an A$$ like Jennifer Garner, but c'mon now.

Well I think it may not be Wizkids decision but Marvels. It may be part of the contract. Marvel says, we have a Daredevil movie coming out, and DD and Elektra must be in this set, Or just because they are marquee characters. To me I love having a variety to pick from.

JonL has said in a thread somewhere on these forums that it's their (the designer's) decision to make the same 4 figs every set.

yes, I like variety too.
as in many different figs, NOT If I want to use 3 almost identical Wolverines !

I'm with you. I think we can all agree there are way too many characters in the marvel universe yet to be included. How do you justify so many repeats (besides multi-million dollar movie deals) when so many essential characters are still missing.

My only solution to this is to custom-make my own. The only annoyance is when a new set is released and the fig you spent hours creating is released. Good thing the Infinity watch will probably never be released, as I just completed them with the exception of Drax.

Quick Q - How many of you modelers would cut up a Darkseid to make the perfect Drax? Granted, I have doubles, but to cut up a Darkseid... am I crazy?

Right now. 0, she can't do it.

But next set they'll have an Elektra with a specific 'light bulb power' along with invulnerabilty, Plasticity and of course Pulse wave, to represent all that exploding she does in the comics.

seriously, i'm hoping to get this new elektra. i was sorely disappointed in the CT elektra. but this one looks absolutely playable and worth the points. and personally, i like the sculpt too.
