I got some of my digital sculpts printed out and here are the unpainted models. I'm not a good photographer, but they look pretty cool in person.

Shuma Gorath (I went with Marvel vs Capcom scale to save a lot of money):

Very cool! I'll be interested in seeing them painted—even in primer. The translucent white plastic is hiding your detail.
I need to learn to digitally sculpt. Is it an expensive undertaking?

Same here, am wondering how they look painted.
Also, are they easy to paint? Does the print surface take on paint just fine?

I'll say it again. I want one of those Ghosts. It's still my favorite sculpt of yours. Looks great, start painting!

If he is using the type of machine I am familiar with (we use to prototype at work) it's a 5 digit purchase.
Each one of those would take hours (maybe 8) to "print" and the resulting piece is brittle. You wouldn't be able to store them with regular figs and even using them in a game would require more care.
All that said, these do look great, I wish I could do the same too.

I use zBrush which is only a few hundred dollars. To print, I upload the models to Shapeways (www.shapeways.com) and they charge me based on how much plastic the finished model would use. A clix sized figure costs between $4 and $10 depending on how buff they are.

You sir, have been repped for producing one sweet Atomic Robo sculpt. You have a dial in mind for it?

I would love to get my hand on that Ghost and Atomic Robo. Great sculpts, man.

Skull Brother. It has the Robot and Scientist keywords and fights like him (Except for lack of guns). I don't ever really play keyword theme teams unless I get them by chance, but that's too specifically Robo to overlook.
I would love to have access to a 3D printer. Your sculpts are cool you. Could you make Orange Construct objects?

Ok, you need to explain to me how the heck you 'print' a digital sculpt, because I just can't wrap my brain around it.

Epic. Buy me one. :D
Cool stuff. So which material did you choose for the digital print?
