I was nosing through the available dials list, and came across one particular pairing that I thought would be handy, at the least down the road.

Our SR Batman and Superman pair up to an even 200 points... and in a game where the map choice is yours, and you have plenty of elevated terrain to hop around to.. well...

Transporter carry Superman up onto that hindering rim, and next round, boost the kryptonian's damage, and divebomb down off of that elevated terrain at a figure within movement range, and deck that figure.

add in a reasonably priced TK'er, and some other support flavor, and it's at least a mildly amusing divebomb combo.

Anyone else started planning out their combo-ing? Obviously we've got Deadshot with anyone able to throw up a smokecloud... nightshade's just a little handier since she's also a transporter....

Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman = 300 pts.

Deadshot + Guy Gardner + Solovar = 297 points

This would be a great sealed team under ideal conditions IMHO.

The new Alan scott is criminally good. If GenCon were today he would defonitely make top 8. Reason is not only a great dial/power set, but his keywords are FANTASTIC. Run him with Jason Blood/Dr Alchemy in Mystical or Edward Nigma and GCDs in Gotham.

Yea Alan Scott is the best fig in the set IMO.

As far as combos go, not sure yet really. I'm a hands on player, I need the figs in my hand, click thru their dials a bunch, play them a few times, etc. Will have more to contribute after tonight.

as far as sealed goes, i think solovar and Atrocitus will be a better combo than they first appear... TK bomb, and both INDOM... brutal.

Indigo-1 + Scar: Steal Energy Healing transferred to any other cheap character on the map at +2 (or 3 if you stack them). It has to be a higher point game to make use of, but worth considering.

How's about teaming Kid Flash with Kid Zoom? Kid flash's "Not an ordinary speedster" or whatever it's called WORKS like Hypersonic speed, but is not worded like it and can't be canceled with Kid Zoom's "stop!" You'll have two speedsters zooming around the map and no one else besides maybe another Kid Zoom or Kid Flash. Which is awesome.

Hm. Did they do that on purpose?...

I cant remember who said it but someone a week or so back suggested Kyle Rayner and Deadshot. Kyle's Free TK option 2 for Deadshot, then his RCE with Penatrating. IF you get first just have kyle carry him, if your second its open season on somebody.:laugh:

In both cases, you have an Animal Theme Team with Animal Man copying Howard the Duck's Flurry on the 2nd click (after he goes on the Telephone Booth, of course). Think about it: Charge + Flurry + B/C/F = MASSIVE DAMAGE POTENTIAL. In the first team, you can Perplex Animal Man's attack, TK the Animal Mans with Solovar up to 10 squares away, then do the deed.

In the second team, you lose the TK, but you can use Kinetic Accelerator for added mobility. The Beast Boy cheetah form is there so they can copy HSS in a pinch. Double Howard means double Perplex (usually attack since you are using B/C/F on your attack).

I like to think of Animal Man as "Namor-lite" in this instance, lol.

I suggested this and also said to throw in Sinestro for 500 points (482)

Kyle perplex DS damage to 3 andtk him into a bush.
Move up Sinestro and drop Doomsdays 19 defense to 17
DS needs a 5 to deal 5 penetrating damage.

Next turn Kyle and Sinestro both push

i thought of this too. i don't run dupes of non generic so i put puma on the team. this way, buddy will always have blades. the best thing actually is, solovar is the key! he can give buddy l/c so he can hit elevated characters and tk puma. he can also go twice thanks to the indom that solovar has. howard is there to perplex the defense. the way i'd do it is:
whole team gets into postion. animal man then copies indom, gets defense perplexed and charges in. solovar then tk's puma at whoever buddy attacked. now that i'm based with opponents hopefully they miss your 20 dv. once i'm clear. copy flurry from howard, and blades the mess out ppl with puma and buddy. solovar shoots from 8. rinse repeat!
