The ability to completely CRUSH you opponents!!
Muahahahahahaha.......
Sorry, couldn't help it......
Seriuosly, most of them are pretty good in some situation or another. It just depends on your play style. I usually use a lot of BCF and RCE.
But thats just me.

Leadership.
Because, if played correctly, it can be just about any other power.

To be honest, I'm torn between Impervious or Outwit.
i like energy shield def. all the outhers people have listed come with a big price for ex. invul chars have to be vary expencive and people with outwit never have it for long.

Speed: Hypersonic
Attack: BCF
Defense: Supersenses
Damage: Outwit
Hypersonic lets you move, attack, and move again, or make a multiple standstill attack that can rack up some good damage with the right rolls. Close second: FLURRY
BCF, ahh, the ability to roll your own damage. Nothing like hitting a 5 or 6 for damage is there? Really great when coupled with Flurry, like U Spiral or Logan. Close second: EE
Supersenses, Im a marvel only kind of guy, so Impervious was naturally out. Supersenses allows you a chance at the attack totally missing, and you take no damage. Close second: INV.
Outwit. Nothing like disabling the Hulk's toughness or INV, or his superstrength if he has an object. Its a really flexible power, and really can turn the tide for your team. Close second: PERPLEX.
Just my opinions.

Id agree if you could use it with other powers, but you cant.
Batman cannot use CCE and Willpower on the same action. I dont think charge works with it either.
Im not a big fan of Willpower.
If it worked universally, with all other powers, and still avoided push damage, then I would hold it in a higher regard.
But this isnt the case.
The best ability is Mind Control.
The most useful ability is Flight.

move: stealth (i use stealth for most of my teams, which REALLY ticks off my evil firelord-using enemies :D )
attack: bcf. why do 2 damage when you can do six? plus, this can be used with other superpowers, unlike cce and rce.
defense: i dunno, they're all neat
damage: outwit, because when you're the flash, and you really want to beat the carp out of superman over and over again, you dont want to let imperv get in the way.

The best power is Willpower. Who ever you put this on pretty much becomes twice as good as they normally are.

for move) Mind Control, really messes up an opponents plans !
Attack) Super strenght there is nothing more fun then seeing a bruiser chuck that forklift into a ranged fig !
defence) Spider Senses nothing better then like completely dodging an attack from like FL. close second mastermind, what would Dr.Doom be without it ?
damage) outwit the power to take anything away from your opponent for free is just too good. close second perplex +1 for anything on the table !
Team ability: Sinister Six err Syndicate, nothing better then having Boomerang getting a beating and still managing to trow that Boomerang with some much aim (able to attack with AV 11).

I'd be interested to hear your perspective on Leadership and how to maximize it. I've always just relegated it to weenie armies, but I'm likely missing out on some nuances.

The only power that I make sure is a mainstay on every team I make is Outwit. It can put you on equal ground with any other power. That's why I would put Veteren Nightwing on my team over Firelord any day of the week. More range, Stealth, same damage (against anyone who thought they had Invulnerability). Just better. And Psychic Blast. I just wish there was a close combat version of it...Ignoring defence is nice.
Favorite Team ability...Superman. What stealthers?

Mostly I use leadership when I need a Shield boost for that extra action. In all other instances, Im inclined to agree that its a mediocre power at best.
Now, if you had multiple figs with leadership, and you got to roll for an extra action for each successful roll per figure, THEN I would consider it to be a great power.
As it is now, multiple leadership figs basically just increase your chances of getting the 1 extra action.

Mind Control is the most versatile power, IMHO. It gives you the opportunity to use your opponent's best figure against him.
I'm also a big fan of Charge plus Super Strength. Many of the models with both powers have a starting damage of 4. Think Firelord is tough? Charge in and do six damage and your opponent will wish you'd taken a Firelord.

Uhhh, there are some good powers, i personally like powers that don't use actions as Perplex and Outwit.
Best Movement Power: HSS Second: Phasing Third: Charge
Best Attack Power: EE Second: Super Strength Third: Pulse Wave
Best Defense Power: Barrier Second: Willpower Third: SS
Best Damage Power: Outwit Second: Perplex Third: Leadership
Best Team Ability DC: Batman Team
Second DC: Batman Enemy
Third DC: JLA
Best Team Ability Marvel: Minions of Doom
Second: Sinister Syndicate
Third: Avengers
Heimdall
Most Useful: Perplex all the way yo! You can increase someone weak to uberness, or someone uber to the grand pooba of the universe uberness! Don't beleive? Look for my thread on a truely invincible team. You will not only be impressed, but scared to meet me. It'll be called Sinestro to the Max! And be up shortly.

Is it just me, or is the Green Lantern team ability to carry up to 8 figs seem kinda broken?
? picks up my team.
? puts my team down, here, here, here and here.
My team attacks.
I win.
Just so you know, the team must be set down all in one spot. not here here and here.

Mind Control is too easy to counter. When you know your opponent has mind control you can quite easily push on all your important actions making it impossible to mind control you. Incapacitate has a similar problem, though to a lesser degree, since there's usually a back-up you can count on. Yes that means you take a few clicks push damage, but so long as you maximize their effect it works out okay (how often have you pushed to accomplish something important w/o fear of mind control? Quite often, I'd wager). So MC really just makes your opponent super-aggressive, which isn't always a good thing.

outwit is by far the best ability in the game.
when up against an outwit team it is extremly difficult to win.
when your strongest characters have no superpowers they become rather useless, ableing even loser figs to damage them.
RCE is probally the second best super power. come on 5 damage from 10 spaces away OWNS JOO

Probability Control.
It takes alot of the chance out of the game, and as im sure we all like to consider ourselves great strategists, puts the game largely in your favour, and able to use that strategic mind with that much more effectiveness.
