Most Over-used Figure

I dont know about anybody else but it seems that the most over-used fig is by far V firelord. Well i can understand why but.. its just insane, everybody uses it. Another thing, I like to be different and use something that nobody else uses.

i agree.....any Firelord...personally, i find it more fun to play with different characters each time....

I'll be lucky if I ever get a veteran firelord. I have yet to see one in any of the boosters that i have purchased :( Anyone selling one out there?

Okay the Firelord thing I agree with, I am also seeing E panther and E batman alot lately.

I don't think a single firelord army has ever won a tourney around here. it may just bethe people that play him, or that everyone knows that V electra has his number, but themost overused peice in Pittsburgh is Clay Quartermain. I'm guilty of it too. i think he gets thrown into every army i make.

if you want a Vet Firelord, just go to popularcollections.com the next time you want to buy some boosters and toss in a single of him while you're at it.

first off ive been to 6 tournaments at my comic store and have only seen firelord used twice, both were rookies

the fig i see the most is probably white queen, followed my robin and doombots

i guess im lucky, people at my comic store tend to change up who they use alot, its nice

I'd say that Firelord is the over-used figure. I haven't been in a tournament yet where an opponent had at least one (sometimes as many as THREE) Firelords, usually being taxied by Booster Gold or Vulture.

But I plead guilty to using E Batman every week. Usually, most every army I build is centered around him.

I am going against the norm and am going to say the doombot or AIM Medic. Sure I see Firelord each week but I see versions of doombot and the E but most times V Aim Medic. The most common Firelord would have to be E but I still think the R version gets you the best bacng for your buck. I still don't think Firelord is hard to beat once you go throgh the realization that if you goto a Marvel tournament you should be prepaired for one.

For DC It would easily be the R Checkmate Medic or V Robin. Although I could make a case for R,E Booster Gold and R Harley Quinn. I also see alot of R,E Aquaman and E Batman. I always thought that Nightwing was too good for his cost but you don't see him played very much because V Bane takes care of him in one shot pretty much.

ive been fortunate in this area firelord is rarely played in the tourneys i go to

for dc its batman

and for marvel its wither wasp or black panther

only played against firelord once and it wasnt that bad i had plenty of mid level figs so no loss if i lost one or 2 =)

but all the ppl who i play with and in tourneys are easy goin and fun so we stay away from cheese and crackers

I pulled a R and E Fire lord I played the E FL once, because I don't know who he is and he's just not 1 of my favourite characters.

i have one buddy who ALWAYS stocks his team with SHIELD snipers (all flavors) and the blasted black panther (e). he sits back, outwits my guys with the panther and knocks me down from afar with, say, a cyclops (v) surrounded by SHIELD snipers. grrrr...

S.H.E.I.L.D. Agent! Darn guy is everywhere I look! Standing behind Ultron, lurking with Firelord, hanging out with Cyclops! This guy must be a major "player" because he sure gets around. I sort of wish they'd put a limit on the number of any particular figure you can field though. The other day I saw a man play V Dr. Doom and 5 (that's right 5!!!) S.H.E.I.L.D. Agents! What the heck is that, I mean talk about cheese. The guy used Doom's perplex and smoked some poor character for 9 clicks! That takes all the fun out of the game.

Sorry for the rant, just got a little passionate there. I'll try to keep it in check next time.

first off snipers have 0 damage when you base them !!

all his figs (except the Black panther) have serious difficulties witha close combat fighter especially one with Inv. !
E/V Quicksilver could smoke them, the BP can only outwit 1 fig's power at the time so just base them with multiple melee figs.

second S.H.I.E.L.D. ability eats actions (especially 3+) so he's only going to do 1 attack at the time (OK 2 with Cyclops).

At one tournament my friend went to every single person used Firelord. For DC it's Darksied. Also a lot of Harley Quinns.

Trading a Unique for him is also questionable to me; although Elektra is usually a cheaper unique. Plus, I think the Exp. Firelord is the best value of the three.

I used to see Exp. Firelord a lot in Marvel tournaments. Now, I don't see him that much. Bullseye is very common (of course one player using three Vultures and three Bullseyes kind of skewed our results). I play Nightcrawler a lot. Other than that, Black Panther & AIM Medics are a staple of most armies.

In DC, Exp. Batman used to be big; but now Bane, Exp. Booster Gold and Rookie Hawkman are what I see the most.
