Confusion about Polls?

Can Polls only be posted in the polls subforum?
I wanted to post a poll into the Australian Sub Forum, but the tips in the HowToPoll sticky dont seem to match up there.

I think you have to be a Platinum donor to create polls outside of the polling forum.

I would actually love to open polls up to more people; but I've seen enough of the "am I awesome?" polls to last me a lifetime. As with all things, the immaturity of the few, hurt the entire community.

As for your question; polls can only be made by those of the appropriate donation level, as previously stated.

Clearly, only immature people would post an "Am I Awesome?" poll.

Mature people know to use Rep points for that.
