So, one of my new favorite figures from DC 75th is White Lantern Sinestro. At 249, he's got 51 points to work with in a 300 point game. So what would work best with him? His only keyword is White Lantern Corps and there are no White Lanterns cheap enough to pair him with so theme is a no go. Here's a few options that I was thinking about.
White Lantern Sinestro 249
Gotham City Police Detective 27
And that leaves 24 points to fill
With those 24 points you can do 2 Amadeus Chos for Outwit or Cave Carsen. You can throw in a Nurse if you'd like for 10 points, but with her 7 attack, she needs to roll very high to heal Sinestro.
Personally I'd probably run the GCPD with him and then fill out with some Val Coopers and other Pogs to act as tie-up pieces.
Any other ideas for WLS?
In 300 just add Jason Blood AEd to Etrigan for backup with a Joe Chill Pog for a Stealth Shield.
Telephone Booth could also help Sinestro off his first Live! click if he has 2 tokens.

I thought about going with Jason Blood/Etrigan but with a 12 or 13 attack you're likely to hit them anyways. The odds are in your favor at least. I'd rather have the GCPD for the +1 attack and +1 damage. Then with pogs you can tie them up while Sinestro blasts away for 6 damage.

You get a +1 to anything you need (defense!) with Etrigan, plus PC for Regen and with the average starting defense being a 17 in this game with them in hindering EVEN with a 13 you have to still roll a 5. Dont roll a 5 and your offense for the whole turn is gone. You have to lug around a GCD, make sure he has LOS, and since he will be up in the action he will be targeted often.
Etrigan stays 10 squares away, gives you Mystics to defend him, Blades for Offense if he gets based, and you have to deal 4 damage (toughness) for your opponent to kill him.
It is no contest IMO. If this was Golden Age, a GCD , a Rookie Destiny, or feats would be good. Modern Age that final 24 points after the Cop cant be filled competitively enough IMO.
You could also drop Joe Chill for a Yellow Lantern, built in +1 attack.
it's a shame he;s 249.
At 239, it would be Edward Nigma all the way.
But alas, Blood A/E Etrigan is your best shot. And not a shabby one at that

Nigma and Sinestro would have been a lot of fun.
I guess my personal preference is from not running Prob that much. I've come to build teams without it so much that I don't look at it at first. I guess Blood/Etrigan is the way to go, but I still like GCPD and pogs as an alternate.
Of course in Golden Age, you've got it made with GCPD, R Con Artist, and R Destiny.

I would concur with the Blood/Etrigan and then a Lila Cheney for tie up or Joe Chill for stealth for only one reason: If you go against a team with stealth you wouldn't be able to use you GCPD effectively.
