Here is the army I played tonight at a tournament.

4xR Mandriod Armor
4xE Blob
Gabriel Jones LE

The goal is to use the Madriods to toss Blob across the field. To me it was amusing to imagine multiple Blob's being tossed about at high speeds past the heads of their enemies. It's not that bad of an army really. It held up better then I thought for a bad joke army. It has a high speed, and the Blobs can deal out some damage until they get pounded. (I did take out a Thor. He was a Rookie, but still more then I expected.)

The back up line of all the SHEILD agents served as a great clean up for what damage the Blobs did do. (They where often more effective then the Blobs.)

It's bane though are buildings. The Blob's will (more likely then not) be killed before they can get up the stairs.

Sure it's not the most practicle or best army, but it's amusing. I plan on altering it a bit and using it again.
Any ideas on how I can improve this or make it even more odd?

HA HA!

Fat a pult. Thats a great one.

I was laughing imagining flying Blobs all over the field.

As for your question though, Im not a big fan of blob, so Im not sure I could help you, but that really got me laughing thinking about it.

Maybe instead of the Mandroids you could use a few wasps for better mobility, but then you lose the Fat a pult mandroids.

Fat a pult. Youre killing me here. :D

Good luck with your further exploits.

ROFL that's rich I love that line. Kinda reminds me of my chutes and ladders team all tk'ers and all leap climbers. Great theme team dude.
I don't know howabout trading the mandroids with a rookie mag or a vet jean grey?

Great Post! I love it!

You could advance one or two of the Mandroids and play "pass the potato" from your back line forward. Bouncing Blobs comming at you!

Remember the sling shot theory of space ships going around the moon to gain faster speed? Only, in this case the Moon is being sling shot around the space ship.:D

It also works for throwing your blobs back for healing, if you want to work in a medic. I don't know, but if you went with 3 Mandroids and 3 Blobs you might come up with some new tricks.

This whole army came from the fact that I got a Blob in the bottom of every single booster I bought of CT. I finally had enough, snapped, and made this army. My girlfriend made a 300 only Blob army for me too.

I was thinking about working a Kingpin in there to keep the "fat feel" for the army. He could be the "fat comander" instead of Gabe Jones.

Also for this army I want to repaint the Blobs so they are just wearing little gold thongs.

Wasp and Jean sound like good ideas, just not strange enough.

I tip my hat to you sir, for having a lovely, creative and humorous themed army!

This is one of the most awesome things I've seen in a while. When I get home tonight, I'm going to check out my Blob collection and see if I can make one (and try it tonight). If so, I'll let you know what I think you may be able to do for improvements tomorrow

I believe I saw the genesis of this army at Pegasus Games? Not to mention I only know one (maybe two) guys who'd be going by the name "Steve Manbat".

Stairs-schmairs. (I actually picture Blob stopping every-other step to catch his breath. Hilarious!!)

Just TK them up there. You've got LOS to the edge. Then they get to waddle over to your opponent and smack 'em.

This was a truly inspired team! My complements.

As for improvements... You might not need all the mandroids, you only get so many actions anyway. One mandroid can lob two Blobs at least. Leaving you more room for ammunition.

He could have made a Cat-a-pult... or a Bat-a-pult... but no, he had to go for the gusto... he had to make the Fat-a-pult.

Bravo!

Yup it was at Pegasus last night. Since then I have had the need to make it a team that works. So far the people here have been very helpful.

Thanks everybody for the advice so far.

I'm thinking so far (based on advice given)-
-Remove the mandriods, and replace them with 2 Rk Jean Greys
-Find someone else with leadership to replace Gabe Jones (More likley then not the Kingpin LE)
-Put in a few cheap fliers for a "Fat Recovery System" when Blobs get far out and the oppenent RUNS IN FEAR OF THEM.

It happened.

I would remove the TK characters all together, but then it's not such a "Fat-A-Polt". It's more like the the "188th Fat Airborn Division". (Which would be another good army idea.)

But in such a right way. LMAO.

That is funny. Now I am inspired. Too bad I already pulled tonight's team and that is all I'm carrying.

And yes, you need Kingpin. And that's a FAT, Jack!

How about squeezing in a MOJO. (Get it? Squeezing?):D

If I had a Mojo he would be a part of the 188th Fat Airborn.
(or should it be "Fatty Airborn")
He's fat AND ANNOYING!
Double bonus.

I love the idea of advancing several mandriods to lob them back and forth for healing. That's just an uber idea if you ask me, and it could work insanely well.

I was going to try that out sometime this week. I'm going to make this army a threat, and then take it back to a tourney.

And, I missed this one. This is what I get for not showing to play. This could be the funnest/funniest themed army I have ever seen. Great job!
