The veteran is better than V Superman!

So...even though you haven't wasted clicks on Leadership, his cost should probably be in the same ball park as V Supes' 219. Maybe a shade lower. Not sure. I'd like to see the formula they use for computing point totals. Anyone have that?

Using retardog's formula and Enigma's spreadsheet I come up with for your stats.
Rookie: 143pts
Exp: 185pts
Vet: 222pts

I made one for his veteran form around 175 points I think. I can't seem to find it right now.

The only thing I would change is maybe dropping off the last click of toughness and maybe all of incapacitate. And I think he needs a little more super strength.

The way I did my Mon-el was to make his veteran version somewhere between the rookie & experienced version of Superman. I know he's basically got the same powers as Supes, but a lot of people don't know him and probably wouldn't understand why this guy is as powerful as the "greatest" hero of all time.

I know the Vet is better than any but the OWAW Superman, but M'onel is the most powerful hero in the 30th Century and has fought Superman almost to a standstill. Further, Supes' Vet is weak because of all the leadership. I gave him HSS on the Vet to be different from the Exp. He doesn't carry stuff as much as he punches, so I'd rather CCE than SS. I put Incap for freezebreath, but I can drop it and the last toughness. Thanks for the input.

Like I said I used the veteran Superman. Monel is almost as good as Supes. And without all of the leadership and with CCE he may be a better point value. Made his stats very similar but not exact. His dial is great starting but dies down a little quicker than Supes.

And no weezer, Monel is one of the legionaires. Not Superboy. Monel was put in the Phantom Zone because of lead poisoning then released in the 30th century when a cure was found. He was born on Daxam a planet like Krypton with a red sun. So he's almost exactly like Supes. Sort of a condensed history.

Thanks, Mayberrybat! I like yours, but the attack is too high(the only reason Supes won was he is a better fighter, not more powerful), that's why my vet gets a 10. I didn't fade at the end as fast, because, in the Invasion LS, Supes said Daxamites were stronger than him. He said this again, when he first met Lar Gand, and when he fought him in the Eclipso crossover. I realize that the fans of Superman might not agree, but I won't break M'onel just because the Vet Supes is broken.

No prob Jay. And by no means am I a Superman fan. Mayberry Bat (Batman for me). And I agree with all of your points. But I just doubt that they will make a character almost as high as Supes whose not as well knows. I mean only 3 of us have posted on this thread alone. I know there are a lot of Legion fans, but it doesn't compare to Superman. Diehards like us know the difference and abilities, but just the casual comic reader or clix player might not.

I like yours and if it was up to me, I'ld make mine faster, stronger, more defense, and damage. But I'ld do that to Superman, too.

Oh yeah by the way my veteran was only 177 points. But I think he could stand toe to toe with Supes vet version.

I met Mark Waid at a comic store once and got him to sign several of my Valor comics he had written. He said he was his favorite Legion guy from the pre-Crisis Mon-el days. There are only a few of us Monel fans, but we count! He has received several votes on the threads that ask for who we want next. I don't think people are checking this section much at all with all the Marvel stuff to talk about.

No, that is Kon-el. M'onel is Lar Gand from the planet Daxam, a world similar to Krypton. The only difference in its inhabitants is they are weakened by lead. Lar journeyed to Earth after the Invasion miniseries. He joined the L.E.G.I.O.N. team, who gave him an antidote (temporary) to the lead poisoning and met Superman. Later he was mind controlled by Eclipso, which he overcame, and took the name of Valor. Superman helped pick it out. He helped the prisoners of the Dominion (from Invasion) escape, and set them up as protectors on colony worlds later seen in the Legion in the 30th century. Several members come from these worlds. Valor became a hero, than a god to these worlds over the millineum. He returned to Earth, and began dying from lead poisoning. He was put in the Phantom Zone and released by the Legion who cured him. Realizing that Valor was being worshipped, and not wanting that, Lar changed his name to M'onel, which is Martian for Wanderer. This is the Post Crisis origin for him.

Well I know he is powerful but 5 damage powerful?? Right now M'onel is just a little to powerful. Now if it was 2 plus CCE ok I can see that with ease but 3 with CCE just a little to much I think. If OMAW supes met and M'onel met who would win in the comics??

M'onel can and has held his own with Superman in the past. By Superman's own admission, M'onel is stronger, but not as experienced. I don't read Superman anymore, so if he has gotten stronger, then I don't know about it. Monel does have less clicks, less points, and less HSS. So he should come in under OWAW Superman.
