View Full Version : looking for advice on a trade
so it's not really a trade more of a purchase, but a local shop has the following sr's from dc7th for sale
Wonder Woman $25
Hal Jordan $40 (just the SR not the WL)
Bart Allen WL $35
Doomsday $35
do those prices seem far? Doomsday & Hal Jordan are the main two i want... i've seen all these guys going for cheaper online, just i don't know when i will be able to get around to ordering them, and their prices could go either up or down
so what do they realms think?

seems good to me, maybe a little off on the wonder woman but that might be because I'm not a big fan of her

eBay has them lower.
Wonder Woman $10-12
Hal Jordan $15-18
Bart Allen WL $20-25
Doomsday $18-25
Just saying...

I always use Ebay as my price guide when it comes to doing game trading.
It's the best price guide available because it tells you what YOU can sell them for (should you ever decide you don't want them, or need cash). Of course some prices fluctuate, some are more consistent, but regardless, it's a living example of the prices people are willing to pay on the free market, not just what some store wants to charge.
At any rate, if you ever want to determine what a figure is really worth, do an "Advanced" search on Ebay and check the "completed listings" option and you'll see how much auctions have sold for in the past. Just look at the past 7-10 auctions (or past few days worth) and you'll have a good idea of what the price ranges are.

I always use the completed listings as a barometer for making equitable offers.
I usually stick with the auctions that were successfully bid on, rather than those that were purchased on Buy it Now. I believe that an auction that has been bid on to its conclusion, provides a better indication of what the figure's market values are. Where as the Buy It Now can sometimes be within the range of the other auctions, it can be more of an indicator of someone who didn't want to bother with bidding and just wanted the figure right now. Though sometimes, you can find a good deal this way, and I have many times.
To me, they seem a little high. I would say this would be fair:
Wonder Woman $15
Hal Jordan $35 (just the SR not the WL)
Bart Allen WL $25
Doomsday $25
This would make them all come out to $100 even.

Of course, take into account shipping as well when buying the figs and seeing how much of a difference it would be.
Like if your store were selling the WL Hal Jordan for $30 and you could get it on ebay for $22 but shipping was like $4, then I'd say pay the $30 at the store for convinence. But if it's more then that, don't bother.

I would definitely go the eBay route. Usually I say go local but those prices are ridiculous (IMO). But as was stated before it's probably because I don't care so much for them. Even still, SR Hal Jordan isn't worth that.
