Perplex + Energy Explosion

Wanted to get official rulings on what perplex could up on an energy explosion:
Attack?
Defense?
Range?
Damage?


I'm left thinking it's Yes, Yes, Yes, No, but if the fourth is yes, I need to know how (on main target, or splash included).

You could perplex UP your Range and Attack. You could perplex DOWN your opponent's defense. That's all the practical uses. You can't up the damage with EE except with SHIELD Team Ability and Enhancement.

Essentially, shin got me beat on this one.

If you want the very technical reason on why you cannot Perplex up damage on an Energy Explosion attack, then just ask for it.

But, for now... accept that the Damage of 1 cannot be Perplexed on an Energy Explosion attack.

So how does EE work with Enhancement?

It works like the SHIELD ability, but without requiring an action token.

Here we go....


You have V-Doombot (Energy Explosion, 1 Ranged target icon) with R-Psylocke (Enhancement) adjacent.

You have V-Doombot attack my opposing figure.

V-Doombot's Damage will be reduced to 1 because of Energy Explosion.
Then you will declare that R-Psylocke will Enhance V-Doombot's attack...making his Energy Explosion do 2 damage.

Is this enough?

ok i understand how enchancement ups the damage to 2, but only to the target? the rest of the adjacdent friendlies get 1 damage, or do they get 2 apiece as well?

on a side note, outwit...

i realize you cant outwit anybody stealthed with batman ally, but what if you are ADJACDENT to them? can you outwit them then?

Well since mr Shin cant answer the second part I will. Still cant outwit if your standing next to a Stealth character. Still cant draw LOF to it which you need for outwit

Yeah as shin pointed out... all splash damage recipients will also receive 2 clicks of damage...


and as Manchine said with his Yoda-like answer....

Outwit always requires Line of Fire to be drawn, even if you are adjacent to the target figure. Since you cannot drawn Line of Fire to a Stealthed figure, then that figure cannot be the targte of Outwit.
