Some recent trades, what do you think?

Hey Everyone,

I've just done/agreed to a few trades lately that I think are pretty good deals, but I always seem to have second thoughts/paranoia that somehow it's not as good of a deal as I thought...(I guess you can call it "Post Traders Remorse")

Regardless, here they are

First,

My WL Hal Jordan for WL Flash, SR Superman, R John Stewart

First I was bit reluctant to do this, because after opening and using the Hal Jordan WL, I really like him and he seems to be worth the most (i.e. #1 of the WL's) However, since Flash is one of my favorite WL's and easily 2nd or 3rd in Value, I decided to do it with the extra Sweetners)


Now

SR Sinestro and SR Barry Allen for WL Superman and WL Bart Allen (and probably some Rares/uncommons as bonus).

I thought this was a great deal at first, but now I think it's about even in value. Sinestro and Barry allen are awesome, but hopefully I'll be able to trade for them later. Worst case scenario, I would probably be able to get Sinestro back for a decent WL or other SR.

I think the first trade is fairly even. Hal is going around the $60 mark while Superman is going around $15-20 and Flash about $35-40. Stewart's going price varies and as far as I am concerned is insignificant.

The second trade seems a bit less balanced. The price difference between Superman and Sinestro is within $12 (WL Supes goes for about $47 and Sinestro about $35 on average). That is also about the difference between Barry Allen SR (going in the $15 range) and Bart Allen (about $25).

But as long as you were both comfortable with the trade and you both came away happy, there's nothing really wrong with it. In the end, that is the trademark of a successful trade.

That puts my mind at ease. Just in case I wasn't clear, on the second trade, I'm receiving the WL's Superman and Bart Allen and sending the SR Sinestro and Barry Allen. The person I made this offer to agreed to it immediately and with enthusiasm, (as in "You got yourself a deal, are there any other CUR's from the set you want, I'll gladly throw them in")

So, on top of those, he even offered to throw in some extras he might have.

I know a lot of people value Sinestro very highly and I've had a lot of offers for him and some people aren't a fan of the WLs as much as SR's.
But it seems like I came out ahead on the second trade. Glad that I've confirmed that now.

its quite a good trade, now Hal is not worth much more than Flash and Superman is a decent price, if i had an extra hal, id have been all over that trade

Adjusting your perspective can help.
Because it's not about "coming out ahead" of whomever you're trading with.
It IS about turning "stuff-that-isn't-what-you-want" into "something-you-do-want".
