I just got a wonderful Christmas surprise from "CustomCreator" -
a Silver Age version of the Luthor/Brainiac team that I remember so clearly from my childhood reading Superman!
I always loved that Lex just stayed in his "prison greys" during an adventure, because back in those wonderful "Comics Code Authority" days he would almost always begin and end an issue behind bars!
Sweet nostalgic stuff!
Hopefully Dale will post a picture or a link here to share with you all!
Much better than the "high five dancing duo" we got as figs on a very good dial IMHO!
This will see some play!!!
Thanks Dale!!!

Luthor and Brainiac always get plenty of play, smart guys that they are. Brainiac is the perfect wingman. Anything's possible when you put your mind to it!

Congrats, Tom! That's really cool!

Could you post a picture?

I'm hoping CustomCreator will - I'm pretty "techno-challenged" (which is the polite version of "cyber-moron!")
You must understand that when I went to college the only computer on campus was in the basement of the Administration Building and it used punch cards!
Seriously!
Getting online and posting to this site and dealing with email is about the limit of my skill.:(

I'm surprised they let you in the college basement at that time, what with the work on the Manhattan Project going on.

I'll post some pics as soon as I can, maybe tonight!

You actually had to sign up way in advance for "computer time" and frankly I wasn't interested. Too many other things to do with my time in the early 70's! You have to remember that back then "safe sex" meant avoiding doing it on slanted roof tops! Ah my mis-spent youth!
But for those of you that dug in and got a solid computer background, good for you! I'm sure you had just as much fun!

Prison Greys Luthor...why have we not gotten an official version of this yet?

My seven-year-old son likes to check out the work going on in my hobby room. He asked me about the prison greys; I told him that, back then, Luthor liked to wear them when he was out of prison, to remind himself of all the time he'd spent in prison because of Superman. He thought about this for a moment, and said, "It's really his fault." Good kid.

I thought he wore the prison greys because he never spent enough time outta da joint to make it worth his while to change them.

22 pages or less between breakout and re-capture!
The long arm of the law and the Comics Code Authority!
