Has anyone else noticed that the E storm loses flight and gains abilities to represent her "Mohawk"/Leader of the Morlocks self? How about Boom-Boom's name change in her Vet form? I really like these little touches, it makes me feel that the people who design the game actually know the subject matter they are dealing with.

I agree. These 'little touches' are very cool and re-affirm that the new designers are very in touch with the comics.

Yet another reason to like this game....

And with Experienced Storm they took away her flight stand/base, unlike with Rookie Rogue who still has it even though she doesn't have flight.

Same with Rookie Man-Bat, but they started correcting this in Clobbering Time, with Invisible Girl/Woman.

I like the Vet Storm a lot.

10 range and bunch of EE good (for xplosion) attack value. She and Psylocke are new best friends. 2 clicks of blasting for 4 isn't too shabby either. I lke the Xtreme costume too.

That was my biggest problem with her, the energy explosion with only 1 target. EE, good, 1 target, bad... but she is cheap, and that psylocke combo is a good point, I'd never thought of it.

Come to think of it can perplex up the damage of an ee? For that matter can it up the damage of an attack targeting multiple people? Now what'd be really cool is if it good give people more lightning bolts, that'd be crazy.

But the costume rocks, now I need to turn the experienced into mohawk storm.

You can't perplex the damage of an EE attack or a multi target attack. Both require you to reduce damage to one, which takes place AFTER the perplex is applied.

1 target EE is good, 2 target EE is better, but still 1 target EE is still very useable. You're not going to get Ultron style fun-/game-ending cheese, but then again, storm isn't ultron (she's nearly 1/3 the cost).

The Xmen have EE up the wazoo, and li'l miss braddock to make them do a lot of hurting.

she's more than one third the cost, if were talking vet ultron. I wasn't worried about cheeze or anything, I just wanted her to be correct with storm the REAL person;)

But actually know that you mention it, I definitely see tons of xcombos with her. And there has yet to be a fig for 52 points, and that's a number I usually have left over. cool meats

Personally, (and I am a little x-men biased here) I'd rather see Psylocke standing between Storm and Gambit then an Ultron and a couple of SHIELD guys. It just looks cooler IMHO.

yes in the point that:

1) the Exp. version is a great job done by the designers !
I really loved it when I saw that !!:)
2)It was a big turning point for her life.

No in the point that:

the R and V version don't represent Storm well!!:(

EE we already get in Gambit so she shouldn't have gotten it (Psylocke upping their damage by walking towards them is really to good)
And where are all Storm's other powers ?
Smoke cloud ,force blast etc., etc.

I would have gladly payed for a 100+ points-costed Storm !!

the way she is now is just a replacement for the too expensive Cyclops !
TK Storm: hit someone for 4 damage, IF they base her fly away or hit for another 4 damage (RCE being useable with a flyer when based is dumm !).
why can't I use my RCE with Cyclops his RS ?!:(
that would at least make him not so overcosted !

Good points all. I agree that the V storm doesnt represent her well, but i can deal with it. (Storm is not exactly my favorite character)

As to Cyke.... the only reason I can figure that he costs so much for what he does is that (and this is just a guess here) originally when they were still in the playtesting phase, you could use those powers together.

BTW: we also have EE in Boom-Boom.....

put I tend to ignore Boom-Boom (and Wolfsbane), because I don't like them at all.
To me a Thug does thesame thing, only he looks cool doing it !:D

Now Shadowcat was part of the team (my favourite team), So I would have played her regardless.:)

I still feel there should have been an X-factor etc. team ability.

My teams are the X-team(s) (meaning for me the X-men, NOT X-factor etc.), but I'm sure some people will be glad they made there figs.

I actuall like ALL the x-teams. So I'm glad i can use all of them together.

I haven't seen a fig for E Storm, so I may be wrong, but I'm assuming that it's the same fig without a flight base as the other two versions. It would be nice to see a different sculpt altogether with the mohawk and leather, but that may be too much to ask.

Psylockeslover

Correct. It is the same sculpt w/o the flight base. She also has a different set of powers. (Stealth, Leadership, and Perplex)

Melkoloran

Yeah, it'd have been nice to have a sculpt representing her change rather than just a different dial. More expensive obviously.

If there was a team ability for the Morlocks she could have gotten it too.
Exp. Storm at that time was their leader !

Hello,
Well, heres my chance to show off my custom. Made only for my Secret Wars game. I painted her a bit too dark, but she is wicked looking. I used a Wolfsbane head for her with a Wasp body. The Wolfsbane head worked great since she had such an angry face and lots of hair to play with.
